Hangzhou Hostels

Perfect location, it's very easy to travel around in Hangzhou. Affordable price. I had high hopes when looking at the good reviews on Trip, however, it turns out this stay didn't really meet my expectation. There was no English name at the hostel, nice staff, just that they couldn't speak English. The worst thing was the toilet: there was NO western toilet, only the squat toilets, which I found super weird, considering this is a youth hostel. The floor of the toilet wasn't super clean, always wet. I've stayed at tons of hostels, and this is the first hostel I encountered this situation. At least one room with western toilet style would be much appreciated.

You have to change your shoes outside before entering the room. The disinfected slippers are prepared in advance. The texture is also good. Everyone has a special shoe cabinet. There are also large cabinets with card locks in the room for luggage. The room is very clean, and the auntie often maintains it. The sink and toilet toilet are very clean, the floor is fresh and not soaked in water without black footprints, and the mood is pleasant during use. There is a transparent plastic cloth on the door of the bathroom to prevent water from splashing on clothes. This design is very considerate. There are just the right number of washing machines, and there is no need to wait. They are equipped with laundry beads, and the clothes hung upstairs are dried overnight. The mattress is moderately soft and hard, the pillow is comfortable to sleep on, and there are light-blocking and high-quality curtains, which provide good privacy. The air conditioning is very powerful. Although it is next to the main road, the room is very quiet. From my observation, this youth hostel is occupied by college students and recent graduates. The staff is not complicated. You need to swipe your card to get to the floor where the room is located, so it is safe and secure. There are no idle people to affect it. This is a perfect youth hostel with a good environment in Xihu District. Convenient transportation, just a few steps to the subway station, and there are supermarkets nearby. I recommend going to Haotema, where things are cheaper. More importantly, there is a piano to play. The nearby piano shop charges 30 yuan for one hour of piano practice, and the price of playing for two hours a day is ** hahahaha

Amway about this store: First of all, the transportation is very convenient. There is a subway entrance, a hotel and a convenience store downstairs. The roommates in the six-person room are very quiet and not noisy at all. The bed is made and I sleep very comfortably. There is a public bathroom. The air conditioner is very cool. The toilet and bathroom are independent. There are shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, hanging paper towels in the toilet, and slippers in the room. Overall, everything is beyond expectations. I didn't expect this youth hostel to be so great and so particular. Highly recommended. 🌹

This stay was one of the most comfortable one during my 3 weeks trip in China. Location was perfect. Room and facilities seems pretty new and clean. Some staff speak decent English, which is quite rare in China. Most of the residents were local but their behavior were pretty modest compared to the other places.

The location is convenient with subway station nearby. Theres a good space in the reception area and a tv. The bathroom is outside in a corridor and it would be very very messy at night, I suggest increasing the cleaning. You have to buy or bring paper to the toilet, which can be not convenient. The beds were good and the locker was big, but theres not much space for luggage. The staff was helpful. I recommend and would come back.

The beds are clean and comfortable, and you can sleep peacefully. Each bed is equipped with a thoughtful light and socket, which is full of details. The staff are also very warm and friendly. If you have any questions, they can help solve them in time, which makes you feel extra warm. The price-performance ratio is very high, and you can enjoy such a great accommodation experience for a small amount of money. The luckiest thing about this trip was staying in this youth hostel! It's quite close to the subway station but it's still a bit hard to find at night. I called the front desk and they gave me very accurate directions. I gave it a good review. The room has its own bathroom. When I went to the bathroom, I found that there was no toilet paper and someone else's toilet paper was not flushed. In this case, would a public bathroom be better? At least I can change to another one. When I checked in, I specifically asked the front desk if I could be assigned a quieter room. As a result, I met an outrageous roommate. This lady left a drying hood there at 12 o'clock and it was buzzing for more than an hour. That's fine. She walked around the room at 4 o'clock in the morning to pack up her things. I don't know what she was doing until nearly 5:30. She didn't care about anyone. When she woke me up at first, I was still dazed, but I was completely awake later. Youth hostels should have regulations to keep quiet after 11 o'clock. Did no one complain when encountering this? And can such a large drying hood be plugged in and hung in the room?

I didn't know the hostel was under renovation when I made the reservation. When I arrived, I saw the public areas were a mess. I thought as long as the room and bathroom were clean, it would be acceptable. It's ok if the toilet didn't provide toilet paper. I don't know if it was a clogged toilet or a problem with the personal quality of the guests. They didn't flush the toilet after defecation, which was disgusting 🤮. The only thing that was heartwarming was the corner of the study room, the free drinking water supply, and the fact that everyone came on the fifth day of the Chinese New Year. The laundry and drying services were also good.
