Hotel near West Lake Scenic Area,Hangzhou
Grand Hyatt Hangzhou enjoys an iconic location on the east shore of the legendary lake, and is within walking distance of Hubin—the city’s main business, shopping and entertainment hub and the newly opened pedestrian block. It features 388 rooms and suites which designed to amplify the breathtaking lake view, the rooms feature an indulgent, comforting mix of textures in the wallcoverings and soft furnishings with subtle Chinese design elements appearing in the desk chair and wall art.The exclusive Grand Club Lounge offers complimentary breakfast, light refreshments available all-day, evening cocktails and canapés, as well as the use of the boardrooms and 24/7 assistance from the club concierge. On the 8th floor, the 240-sqm Presidential Suite with its 400-sqm outdoor terrace blessed with uninterrupted, panoramic views of West Lake makes for an exclusive and highly unique event venue for weddings, parties and corporate gatherings. Grand Hyatt Hangzhou’s seven exceptional dining venues provide a culinary experience like no other, highlighted by creative menus featuring a variety of both global and local cuisines. For guests seeking moments of relaxation, HUAN Spa & Fitness Center is a self-contained resort that reopened in 2019 within the hotel featuring an 82-foot-long heated indoor pool with a skylight ceiling, pool bar and stunning lake views. Guests can also workout on the latest cardio and strength training machines, as well as Power Plate platforms and TRX trainers, in the fitness center open 24-hours a day.

"Choosing a hotel near West Lake is quite challenging. Due to height restrictions, most buildings are low-rise, and many hotel facilities tend to be old. Grand Hyatt has always been my benchmark for a five-star hotel, but this stay was quite disappointing. The windowsill in the room was leaking, the ceiling was very low, and there was a musty smell inside. The worst experience was at checkout when I was overcharged by more than 900 yuan. If I hadn't carefully checked the bill and paid directly, the loss would have been significant. Afterward, no one from the hotel called to apologize, which is a serious oversight for a five-star hotel. The breakfast was mediocre; during peak hours, the staff were overwhelmed, and plates weren't cleared promptly. The service level was a far cry from that of the Xizi Hotel. It's highly unlikely I'll stay here again on my next visit to Hangzhou. The only upside is the convenient access to the West Lake sightseeing bus right downstairs, making sightseeing and travel easy."

Zhejiang Media Hotel, affiliated to Zhejiang Radio and Television Group, is a four-star hotel that integrates guest rooms, conferences, catering, tourism and business. It is located in the core business district of Hangzhou city center - Hubin Commercial Center, adjacent to the West Lake and 50 meters away. The Hubin Pedestrian Street, one of the "first batch of national demonstration pedestrian streets" in Hangzhou, is just across the road. West Lake Musical Fountain, Kerry Center, Federation of Trade Unions CC, Hubin In77 high-end bustling neighborhood and other landmark scenic buildings are within easy reach, and it is close to Metro Line 1 Longlong. Xiangqiao Station, Fengqi Road Station on Metro Line 2, take the subway to Qianjiang New Town, the "business card of Hangzhou's new city", for about half an hour to watch the light show. Transportation, entertainment, and shopping are all very convenient. The atmosphere of the hotel rooms is comfortable and warm, highlighting the charm of Jiangnan. The Xiangyue Western Restaurant on the second floor provides Chinese and Western buffets, exquisite coffee and refreshments; the Haolaiwu Chinese Restaurant on the seventh floor offers Jiangnan specialties and 11 luxurious boxes with unique Cantonese film and television cultural characteristics. The hotel has a self-service laundry room, a gym, beauty SPA, hairdressing center, and chess and card room.

"The facilities are complete, and there's even a separate sterilization cabinet for the cups, plus a flashlight – how thoughtful! Although the decor is a bit dated, I actually like this nostalgic style; it's quite nice. The room is also spacious enough. Many chain hotels nowadays have very small rooms where you can't even open two suitcases, but this older hotel doesn't have that problem. The lobby and restaurant are beautiful. Most importantly, it's very convenient for getting around. It's only a few minutes' walk from Longxiangqiao subway station Exit A, and right next to the bus terminal with special lines to Lingyin Temple and the West Lake scenic area. In77 is also within walking distance. The Xin Zhou Ji restaurant downstairs at the hotel is great for dining. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel again on my next visit."

According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Our stay was fantastic! Even though we didn't book breakfast, there were plenty of local eateries nearby to choose from. Plus, the location is super convenient – it's a straight walk to both the subway and West Lake. What really impressed me was the exceptional service: my child had homework that needed printing for three consecutive days, and the hotel staff printed it promptly for me each time. The front desk also offered bottled water, and there was even more available on the floor cabinets, which was a very thoughtful touch."

"The B&B boasts a beautiful environment, with a large tea plantation right outside. The facilities inside are also great, featuring smart systems for curtains and lighting. It would be even more perfect if they had smart toilets. They offered a complimentary travel photography session, and the photos taken upstairs in the lobby turned out fantastic. The complimentary coffee was also very aesthetically pleasing. The location is convenient, with the 103 bus stop right outside the community entrance. It's only two bus stops to Lingyin Temple. Since ride-sharing services are restricted, the bus was definitely more convenient."

I've stayed at this hotel a few times. It's quite close to the Metro Line 19 station, making it convenient for getting around. You can also book rooms through Wangyue, who provides excellent service. Parking is free, and the rooms are well-equipped with toiletries, including toner, lotion, and essence. There's also a gym and a laundry room available. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Had a wonderful three-day, two-night stay at the Fuchun Resort, a place I've long admired. The architecture, rich in Chinese aesthetics, blends seamlessly with the natural environment of Fuyang, creating a truly harmonious feel. Hiking here was wonderfully wild and scenic. The resort's thoughtful service was evident in every detail: from the welcome greeting and the consistently helpful and responsive personal butler (Benson) before arrival, to the doorman's proactive and natural assistance with luggage, and the waitress's meticulous inquiry about dietary preferences at breakfast. All these touches reflect the hotel's high standards of service and made me feel truly respected. I even left my hat in the calligraphy class and only realized it when the instructor notified me and said it would be promptly returned to the lobby. The shuttle drivers were also very punctual, almost always available on call. The housekeeping staff were diligent and friendly. The hotel also offers a wide range of activities, and the travel photography service was particularly high quality. Fuchun Resort truly lives up to its reputation as a high-end resort. I'd love to visit again!

This hotel has a manor-style resort vibe and is wonderfully quiet, which I really appreciated. Its location is quite central, making it easy and quick to get to nearby attractions by taxi. There was a minor hiccup with the room upon check-in, but the staff were very responsive and resolved it quickly. Even during a public holiday, the service quality didn't drop, and there was no queue for breakfast. It's a shame it rained every day during the Dragon Boat Festival's plum rain season; I hope for sunny weather next time!

The environment is absolutely stunning, small but beautiful, with picturesque views at every turn. The free drinks on the first basement level and the oden in the evening were both delicious. Traveling with kids, they had a blast playing in the courtyard's water features. I just wish there were more diverse parent-child activities. Also, the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy; I had to wear earplugs to sleep at night.

The public areas are really well-equipped and beautifully designed, with potted green plants everywhere indoors. In contrast, the guest rooms are a bit of a letdown. Given the significant number of families staying here, which the hotel should be aware of, it's surprising that the TVs don't offer on-demand content or screen mirroring. Sometimes, you need a TV to entertain children, or when adults are busy and kids are alone. The bedding, in my opinion, is the biggest drawback. The pillows flatten completely the moment you lie down, offering no support whatsoever. The bed itself isn't comfortable to sleep on either. Although the hotel followed up and mentioned they could remove the mattress or provide buckwheat pillows, I still believe there's room for improvement in the room facilities. Most hotels manage to strike a balance without needing major replacements after check-in. I understand that many people take photos, which is hard to control. The public areas are beautiful enough, but please give more attention to the guest rooms. Otherwise, there are no other issues. The service is excellent, and the staff are generally very polite. They follow up on problems, and the service exceeded my expectations. The Shui Yang Chinese restaurant offers consistently good food. While not outstanding, the flavors and cooking are well-controlled and worth trying.

InterContinental Qiandao Lake, exclusively occupying the Xian Shan Peninsula, is a scenic destination in itself, perfect for a slow-paced getaway. The hotel offers a rich variety of dining options. The breakfast buffet on the first floor boasts a wide selection, and we enjoyed several excellent meals at the Chinese restaurant. The late-night diner on the fifth floor, opening at 9 PM, became a regular treat for the kids after swimming, serving various instant noodles with fresh eggs and vegetables. There's also a Japanese restaurant outside the lobby, perfect for a relaxed meal after a scenic walk or bike ride around the lake. You can rent bicycles and 'Panda cars' to explore the island. The peninsula is ecologically pristine, with blue butterflies dancing and swallows flitting about, showcasing abundant wildlife. Both indoor and outdoor pools have regularly changed water and are well-maintained. The hotel also has its own yacht pier; simply book at the front desk or buy tickets at the lobby shop for direct access to Huangshan Peak, making travel incredibly convenient. The most heartwarming part of our stay was the housekeeping auntie. When she saw my child's summer homework spread out, she thoughtfully placed an eye-protection desk lamp, noticing the dim light in the room. This small act of kindness was truly touching. With one island, one hotel, far from the hustle and bustle, nestled between the lake and mountains, enjoying nature in peace – this is the ideal state of a vacation.

Although the hotel is a bit old, the hardware is generally well-maintained. However, the cleanliness needs improvement, especially on the balcony where the railings were dusty – even though it's an outdoor area, it still needs better upkeep! Inside, the diamond-patterned room divider, which was trendy back in the day, is indeed hard to clean, but I'm sure the housekeeping department will be able to handle it once they notice it ✊. The breakfast selection is limited; it's filling, but doesn't quite match the hotel's star rating. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. From the concierge to the front desk, the restaurant staff, and even the occasional encounter with housekeeping, everyone was warm, polite, and attentive. Olive, who I contacted via WeChat, was incredibly responsive and efficient in handling any requests, even those I just casually mentioned. For someone who values service above all else, this more than made up for the shortcomings I noted earlier. 😂

I saw the Hampton by Hilton online and chose it for a business trip because of its convenient location near the train station. It's on a direct and very close route from the East Station. The hotel's overall environment is clean and tidy, and the lobby feels very homely with a great atmosphere, not as rigid as a typical business hotel. The room facilities are quite good, with a capsule coffee machine and a microwave. The toilet is fully intelligent, which was surprisingly nice. The front desk service for check-in and check-out was also good, warm and efficient. Most of my requests for room service were handled by robots, which was very efficient. This is my preferred hotel for business trips. They only serve breakfast, but the variety is decent. Overall, my stay was extremely satisfying and highly recommended.

It's like living in a forest, with acorns constantly falling from the trees. The hotel is very clean, with virtually no mosquitoes. The room facilities are all excellent, especially the toilet flushing, which isn't too loud. Special praise goes to the hotel staff; their service was exceptionally good from check-in to check-out. They provided afternoon tea with fruit platters, nuts, and tea; offered ginger soup and ice packs if you had a cold; and promptly came to your room to help with any issues. The hotel only offers vegetarian food. I tried it once, and it was quite good and creative. Compared to the Black Pearl Hotel (averaging 1000 RMB per person), it's definitely not quite as good, but it's much better than other vegetarian restaurants in temples. Every ingredient was very fresh, although there were some issues, like the watermelon in the complimentary fruit platter being sweet and the blueberries being extremely sour. If you don't want vegetarian food, the surrounding farmhouses are a good option, offering fish, chicken, stir-fries, etc. I randomly picked a few and none were bad. The hotel also arranged various courses, including a healing class and Baduanjin (Eight Pieces of Brocade). Lying in a cabin surrounded by trees and feeling the breeze on a platform by the forest river was a truly therapeutic experience! I stayed for two days and there were still many courses I didn't get to try, so I'll make up for them next time! I'll consider bringing my parents next time.

An unforgettable luxury wellness retreat. I discovered Xixi Xin Hotel while searching for a peaceful escape, and it exceeded every expectation. The architecture is breathtaking, blending traditional Chinese culture with modern luxury in a way that feels elegant, authentic and incredibly calming. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional. The suites are beautifully designed with natural, eco-friendly materials that create an instantly grounding atmosphere. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a Marshall speaker with a curated selection of nature sounds—waves, birds, rustling leaves and crackling fire—setting the tone for complete relaxation. The bathroom is equally impressive, with beautiful curtains opening to a soaking spa prepared daily with fresh rose petals and natural bath salts. Thoughtful touches such as soft linen loungewear and complimentary disposable swimwear made the experience feel effortlessly luxurious. Service is truly five-star. Each suite is assigned a personal butler who is attentive, responsive and genuinely committed to making your stay effortless. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the hospitality was warm, personal and sincere. I was initially hesitant about the vegetarian restaurant, but it was one of the highlights of my stay. The dishes were nutritious, beautifully presented and worthy of fine dining, while still being surprisingly filling. For those who prefer meat, there are also excellent restaurants nearby. The wellness program is outstanding, with daily yoga, Tai Chi, sound baths, traditional Chinese medicine consultations and other healing experiences. Classes run for around an hour and are led by knowledgeable instructors who genuinely care about your wellbeing, creating a deeply relaxing and restorative experience. With only around 8–10 suites, the hotel remains wonderfully quiet and intimate, allowing guests to completely disconnect from the outside world. After just three nights, I left feeling genuinely relaxed, grounded and restored. A rare hidden gem that combines exceptional architecture, thoughtful design, impeccable service and meaningful wellness experiences. If you’re looking for a peaceful five-star retreat focused on luxury, wellness and tranquillity, I couldn’t recommend Xixi Xin Hotel more highly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
