I've stayed here many times, and the service is always excellent. This time, it was a family trip, and my husband arrived at the hotel first. The hotel was busy, but the staff helped upgrade our room type. Special thanks to Benson & Sandy for their thoughtful service. The concierge staff were also very proactive in helping with our golf bags and luggage. I'll definitely be back for my next golf trip!

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Garden Resort. The room was spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful complimentary snacks and drinks prepared for us. It was also a lovely surprise to find a fresh rose in the room — such a beautiful detail. The breakfast was very enjoyable, especially the delicious cappuccino. The swimming pool was absolutely amazing, and the gym with its beautiful view of the pool made the whole experience even more relaxing. The resort truly makes you feel like you are on holiday in Thailand, even though you are in Hangzhou. The atmosphere, design, and facilities are outstanding. A special thank you to Xiaofan for her warm hospitality and attentive service. She made our stay even more pleasant and memorable. Rose Garden is truly one of the best resorts in Hangzhou. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back again!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is slightly away from the busy downtown area, which makes it relatively quiet and peaceful, while still being convenient to get around. The hotel offers a good variety of food choices, and the hotel itself is clean and well maintained. One issue I encountered was a fairly strong cigarette smell in the room. I reported it to the receptionist, and the staff were very polite and helpful. They arranged a room change for me immediately, which I really appreciated. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and was impressed by the friendly and prompt service from the hotel staff.

This place is practically a Kyoto-Hangzhou branch, several friends even thought we had gone abroad when I didn't share the location! From the moment we entered to check-in, everything felt so ceremonial: the hand-washing basin, water divination, welcome tea and snacks, making sachets, and a full introduction to all areas and activities. We were even able to check in early, which was a great help as a room was already clean. Right when we arrived, there were chilled noodles in the hot spring area, which were absolutely delicious! Since there were many adults and children in our group, we decided to go out for dinner. When we returned, we went straight for the hot springs. The amenities provided were from good brands and very comprehensive. It was my first time experiencing a Japanese-style hot spring, and it was quite a novel experience. Afterwards, there was delicious chilled milk in glass bottles. The kids had a blast in the hot spring lounge area, happily devouring fruits, snacks, drinks, and ice cream. After a round of fun, it was time for late-night oden. The adults were full and content, returning to their rooms to rest. The next day's nine-compartment breakfast looked small but was incredibly satisfying. This was truly an extremely, extremely, extremely, extremely unexpected and perfect hot spring trip. If you're coming to Hangzhou, you should definitely plan to visit this place! 😆

During the National Day holiday, I brought my whole family to Qiandao Lake for a vacation. I deliberated for a long time when choosing a hotel and finally booked the InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort. My only thought afterward was: it truly lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in Qiandao Lake. First, let's talk about the scenery. The entire hotel feels like it grew out of Qiandao Lake, exclusively occupying the Xianshan Peninsula. The lake view isn't just a peek from a certain room; everywhere you go, it's like a painting. In the morning, standing on the room's balcony, before the mist dissipated, the distant islands layered one after another. When the sun rose, the entire lake surface turned golden-green, like gold powder sprinkled on a traditional ink wash painting. In the evening, sitting by the lighthouse, the lake's surface slowly transformed from orange-red to deep blue. My family and I didn't need to say a word, just watched the changing light. We could watch birds and clouds from the balcony for half an hour. On the way back, my child kept saying, ”Dad, let's come here again next time.” This kind of scenery isn't for 'checking in'; it makes you slow down. Next, the breakfast. In the past, when staying at resort hotels, breakfast was usually just 'edible.' This time, I was truly impressed. The variety is one thing, but the key is that every item is of high quality. The freshly fried sunny-side-up eggs were cooked perfectly, with tender whites and runny yolks. Local ingredients like the Qiandao Lake dried preserved vegetable扣烧饼 (kou shao bing) were prepared even more meticulously than in outside restaurants. My son was particularly fond of the Western bread and salad station, dragging us there for refills every day. What's even more commendable is how quickly dishes were replenished. Even with so many guests during the holiday, popular dishes were refilled promptly, and the staff were diligent in clearing plates, so our table never piled up with dirty dishes. The concierge service was the most pleasant surprise. Upon arrival, the concierge took our luggage, and after the front desk assigned our room, they promptly delivered it, which was very reassuring. One detail particularly touched me: we took a bus out once, and the young lady at the entrance actually gave water to the taxi driver and instructed him to take good care of us and get us to our destination. If the hotel treats taxi drivers like this, I imagine they would be even more attentive to guests 😊 There were so many activities at the hotel that we couldn't get enough. On the afternoon of our first day, we participated in the Xianshan hike. The route was well-designed, with moderate intensity, offering lake views and forests along the way, so even children could manage it. We also learned about the origin of Xianshan, which has a love story: 'Only envy mandarin ducks, not immortals' – that's where the name Xianshan comes from. On the second morning, my son participated in the hotel's parent-child nature craft activity and didn't want to leave. In the afternoon, I took my wife to a nap activity, and she came back and told me, 'It's been a long time since I've had such peace and quiet.' In the evening, we swam in the pool for a while, and then watched a movie. We were initially worried that two days would be boring, but our schedule was packed, and we still felt like we wanted more. Whether it's activities for seniors, children, or individual interests for couples, everyone can find something to enjoy. This is what a resort hotel should be like. Finally, the conclusion: I've stayed at many hotels in Qiandao Lake, but the InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort is truly unique. The price isn't cheap, but every penny you spend shows its value, unlike some hotels where you pay a high price only to find they only win on 'reputation.' For family trips, traveling with elderly parents or children, or just wanting to find a place to unwind for a few days, choosing this place won't disappoint. P.S. It's only a 10-minute walk from the East Station and nearby subway station, and there are plenty of dining options in the surrounding commercial area. The front desk staff provided professional and thoughtful service throughout. Given the recent rainy weather, not only could I borrow an umbrella from them, but upon check-out, the front desk offered me a complimentary coffee and even walked me to the roadside with an umbrella to hail a taxi. These small details truly show the hotel's attentiveness. Everything from the service and cleanliness to the facilities exceeded my expectations. The air conditioning provides stable cooling and heating, the lighting is versatile, and there are ample power outlets and USB ports, making charging very convenient. The hotel is located in Xixi Wetland, offering a tranquil environment. Staying in a waterfront villa and feeding fish while enjoying the scenery was incredibly pleasant. As expected from the Banyan Tree brand, the service was comprehensive. While the Western breakfast pastries weren't outstanding, the specialty porridge was quite good. It's truly a perfect place to relax and unwind.

A truly top-tier wellness hotel! The moment you step in, you're greeted by a soothing aroma, immediately immersing you in a healing atmosphere. It's incredibly photogenic, offering a seamless check-in experience with a full sense of ritual. The dedicated butler service, especially the meticulous and thoughtful butler, was fantastic. The hotel's wellness facilities are superb, including body composition analysis and evening sound therapy sessions. The service is delicate, warm, and completely rejuvenates both body and mind. Definitely my first choice for a relaxing getaway.

I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Hangzhou Thousand Island Lake – it was an unexpectedly wonderful vacation experience! The hotel is nestled by the mountains and the lake, with its cruise ship-like architecture making it easily recognizable. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows in the room, the lake and mountain scenery immediately greets you. Sitting on the balcony, watching the lake and the sunset is incredibly therapeutic. The room is spacious, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the cleanliness is spot-on. The facilities are well-maintained, making for a very reassuring stay. The service is the biggest highlight. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were polite and attentive, responding quickly to any requests. Throughout my stay, I truly felt the professionalism of the IHG brand. The breakfast offered a rich variety, with both Chinese and Western options. You absolutely must try the Thousand Island Lake fish head at the Chinese restaurant – the broth is creamy white and delicious, and the authentic lake fresh taste is fantastic. The amenities are comprehensive. The 'insta-famous' infinity pool is great for photos, and there's also an indoor heated pool, a fitness center, and a kids' club, making it suitable for both couples and families with children. It's very convenient if you're driving, as the hotel offers free parking. Here, you don't need to rush through an itinerary; simply relaxing at the hotel, enjoying the lake breeze, and escaping the city hustle provides a complete sense of relaxation. The value for money is excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Thousand Island Lake, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Asked for high floor, away from lift and smoke free room. In the end, got the first room from the lift and a low floor (saving grace is that hotel rooms start from 28). However the kicker was that they gave me a kids theme room. I checked in nearing midnight after an exhausting commute from the airport, and didn’t request for a different room, which I regret because it did bother me. Furthermore, in the third picture, I don’t understand why the couch is facing away from the TV? When I moved it myself (which was heavy) to face the tv, housekeeping kept shifting it back to the original position which faces the wall (back to the windows as well) which makes no sense ? In addition, even though I didn’t light up the housekeeping light, they came in anyway on the second day, and I hadn’t locked up any of my valuables. To be fair to the housekeeping staff, nothing disappeared, so at least the staff is trustworthy. When I booked on Trip, the only cheapest option left came with breakfast, so I had it for three days. I don’t think the menu changed if at all on the three days, and the food was pretty mediocre. The fried rice was uneven and almost crunchy - not sure if this is a regional thing? And there was no means of warming the western pastries and the pain au chocolat was pretty bad as a result. On a parting note, was wondering if I got the kids room because China hotel rooms seem to have a rep for having heavy smoke smell even if a smoke-free room is requested, so maybe kids rooms are ‘safer’ for the smoke free request in my booking. Also, I have no idea why the thermostat remained steadfastly at 24 Celsius when I tried to reduce the temperature especially in daytime when the glass makes the room warmer. But I was not keen on contacting the service staff but overall, a mixed bag experience relying on the room interior and space than other aspects.
