Pros: Jojo, our butler, provided excellent service, and the travel photography was great – the photographer was very dedicated.
Cons:
1. Breakfast options were limited, and items were frequently missing. The coffee machine was terrible, producing a watery, tasteless drink.
2. The paid activities, especially the boat tour and farm visit, were very poor quality. An older staff member had a bad attitude and kept rushing us, saying other guests were waiting. Including the walk to the vegetable garden, we only spent about 15 minutes picking. For the boat tour, we had to insist just to get a short drift on the lake; initially, they claimed it was too windy to paddle. It was a really frustrating experience.
Overall, apart from the butler, the service from other staff members was very mediocre. I've also seen complaints on social media about their lacking 'soft services.' I'd suggest they learn from Naked Group; I've visited Naked Castle and Naked Retreats several times, and their complimentary services are consistently high-quality, with exceptionally enthusiastic staff.

Guest UserThe room features Xiaomi smart voice control. The service from Wangyue was great; I didn't have to worry about losing my room card because I could use facial recognition for check-in, which was very convenient and quick. The lobby is spacious and bright. The room has a smart toilet and a large bathtub, and facial cleanser, lotion, and cream are all provided free of charge. Toiletries are complete. You can contact Wangyue to book your room.

The hotel is small but exquisite, with a serene and elegant Japanese Zen garden. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the private hot spring baths are wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic. The amenities are refined and comprehensive. The butler service is thoughtful and attentive, making the check-in experience feel truly special. The food is fresh and delicious, and the 'nine-grid' breakfast is quite unique.

Guest UserThis hotel is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly elegant. I've wanted to experience it ever since I saw it on the TV show 'Love You' last year, and I finally got to stay here during my trip to Hangzhou. I was very satisfied with the room, the breakfast, and all the staff and service. The front desk staff even gave me a room upgrade, so a big thank you to everyone who worked so hard! Well done!

ECNU-My three-day, two-night stay was the perfect introduction to a resort-style hotel. Both the hotel's facilities and services were impeccable! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
✅ First, let's praise the hotel's excellent location: who knew the exclusive access to Xan Shan Peninsula was such a privilege?!
(Pictures 1-16 show the hotel facilities and surroundings, unedited photos)
The hotel also boasts a very large garden and surrounding attractions perfect for photoshohoots. It's just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Within a few minutes' walk, you can reach Xan Shan Botanical Garden (honestly, not much to see, but there are daily parent-child activities), Lover's Gorge (great for couples to take photos), the hotel's exclusive lighthouse (Picture 7, very atmospheric), and the hotel's seasonal fruit orchard (high parent-child interaction, with different fruits available for picking in different seasons).
When the weather is good, you can take many beautiful scenic photos. When it's cloudy or rainy, you can experience the unique humidity of the Jiangnan region and the fresh air provided by the lush vegetation.
✅ Next, let's talk about the hotel facilities.
The hotel is divided into three buildings, A, B, and C. Building B offers the best lake views, with a complete panorama of the lake's beauty. The layout is very reasonable, with convenient connections between all areas. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design.
The indoor and outdoor pools are regularly disinfected with chlorine balls, and the water is clear and sparkling, perfect for children to play in. The hotel also has a swim shop with affordable items, which is very convenient for guests who haven't brought all their swimming gear.
Every day, the hotel has an activity schedule listing the names and locations of various parent-child activities at different times throughout the day. There's a wide variety to choose from.
There's also a super large indoor children's playground, which is cleaned very, very thoroughly. I really want to thank the cleaning staff for their hard work here.
✅ Dining (Pictures 18-19)
The hotel has a Chinese restaurant, a Western restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant, offering a rich and diverse selection. Set meals can also be purchased in advance on your phone. The hotel even provides a free shuttle service to nearby farmhouse restaurants (PS: the prices are very, very, very affordable, and the vegetables are freshly grown and incredibly fresh).
The most commendable aspect of the dining is the complimentary breakfast buffet. The variety is incredibly extensive, and they even adjust the dishes daily to better cater to different guests' preferences. Soups, desserts, freshly squeezed juices, freshly made guokui (griddle cakes), mini-hamburgers, and more! You can also scan a QR code to order noodles and freshly made wontons. I always end up eating too much every day, darn it!
❗️They even consider the need for liquid food for infants and provide various flavors of rice cereal.
In addition, whether it's the minibar in the room and the complimentary welcome drinks (Qiandao Lake beer), the incredibly seasonal, crisp, and sweet fruits, or the thoughtful turndown service, every detail showcases the hotel's humanistic care. It's truly commendable (Picture 17).
✅ The absolute most praiseworthy aspect is the high-end, meticulous, and thoughtful service staff. Special thanks to: Ada and Joey at the front desk for check-in, Connor and Cindy from concierge, and our butler Landy.
As soon as we got out of the car, concierge Cindy greeted us warmly and proactively helped with our luggage, leaving a deep impression. The young man at the front desk who handled our check-in was also very enthusiastic in confirming our booking and upgraded our room for free.
Throughout our stay, Connor drove us to and from nearby restaurants, the lighthouse, and Lover's Gorge. He was practically on duty all day until 10 PM, driving steadily and with a truly excellent attitude. He was super cool!
Finally, and most importantly, our very, very responsible butler, Landy. She first introduced us to the locations and functions of the different venues, and informed us of the breakfast times. From the moment we added her as a friend, she consistently upheld her initial message: ”Please contact me anytime with any questions.” Whether it was day or night, she would respond and answer immediately to any query, booking vehicles, and even introducing nearby attractions and routes (with accompanying pictures for us to decide whether to visit).
During our stay, there was a miscommunication during the cleaning staff's shift change. We had requested no cleaning the day before, but someone still entered the room and tidied it thoroughly. This unannounced entry made us a bit anxious when we returned to the room in the evening. Our butler immediately called us to calm us down and quickly contacted housekeeping. Soon after, we learned it was a thoughtful turndown service. We had initially considered contacting the duty manager to investigate, but we declined. This butler Landy truly, truly deserves praise. Her immediate contact and quick resolution smoothed over the issue, and left us with an extremely satisfying three-day, two-night experience.
Her warm and thoughtful greetings every evening and morning made us deeply feel the hotel's excellent staff training and abundant humanistic care! 👏🏻
See you next time, Freedom Intercontinental Palace!

Guest UserWe had a wonderful stay at Banyan Tree and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a two-bedroom villa. The villa was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and a memorable experience.
The breakfast was excellent, and we particularly appreciated the effort made to accommodate our strict vegetarian dietary requirements. The buggy services were consistently prompt and efficient.
The resort’s location amidst the wetlands provides a unique and tranquil natural setting, though some guests may find it slightly secluded.
Communication through WeChat was smooth and responsive. We would also like to especially commend Samiksha, the intern, and the dining team member who spoke both English and Chinese fluently. Their attentiveness and willingness to help significantly enhanced our experience.
As areas for improvement, the swimming pool water could have been warmer, and the addition of facilities such as a sauna or jacuzzi would further elevate the guest experience.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable and well-managed stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the team.

Guo~guo~guo~The overall experience was beyond five-star! The hotel environment is elegant and comfortable, and the staff are warm and attentive. There are so many fun activities inside the hotel that you won't get bored even if you stay all day. The exquisite afternoon tea was delicious, and taking photos on the flower boat created such a beautiful atmosphere – every shot turned out like a masterpiece. The hotel even thoughtfully provided three free travel photoshoots, and the pictures turned out incredibly beautiful. This stay was perfect, highly recommended!

MaizhouzhouMy stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was fantastic! The building itself is grand and eye-catching, and the nighttime ambiance is just wonderful. The front desk staff were warm and professional, making check-in quick and efficient. My room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities one could need, giving it a very home-like feel. The bedding was so soft, I slept incredibly soundly. The public areas were clean and elegant, and overall, it offers great value for money. The location is also very convenient for getting around, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

It's like living in a forest, with acorns constantly falling from the trees. The hotel is very clean, with virtually no mosquitoes. The room facilities are all excellent, especially the toilet flushing, which isn't too loud.
Special praise goes to the hotel staff; their service was exceptionally good from check-in to check-out. They provided afternoon tea with fruit platters, nuts, and tea; offered ginger soup and ice packs if you had a cold; and promptly came to your room to help with any issues.
The hotel only offers vegetarian food. I tried it once, and it was quite good and creative. Compared to the Black Pearl Hotel (averaging 1000 RMB per person), it's definitely not quite as good, but it's much better than other vegetarian restaurants in temples. Every ingredient was very fresh, although there were some issues, like the watermelon in the complimentary fruit platter being sweet and the blueberries being extremely sour. If you don't want vegetarian food, the surrounding farmhouses are a good option, offering fish, chicken, stir-fries, etc. I randomly picked a few and none were bad.
The hotel also arranged various courses, including a healing class and Baduanjin (Eight Pieces of Brocade). Lying in a cabin surrounded by trees and feeling the breeze on a platform by the forest river was a truly therapeutic experience! I stayed for two days and there were still many courses I didn't get to try, so I'll make up for them next time! I'll consider bringing my parents next time.

KafeizhenbukuThis hotel is located right by the beautiful West Lake. Even though I hadn't booked a lake view room, the lovely guest relations team understood my request and quickly pre-assigned me a room with a view of the West Lake. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and very professional during check-in. The gym on the second floor is spacious with professional equipment, and it overlooks a charming, old-style pedestrian street, making for a beautiful workout environment. Breakfast on the first floor offers a diverse and rich selection, including many Western dishes. The smoked salmon was delicious, there was a great variety of salads, and plenty of yogurt and juice options. They also had authentic local Hangzhou breakfast items like Pian'er Chuan noodles, beef brisket noodles, soup dumplings, and wontons – all very tasty! The custom-made rice noodle bowls also looked delicious, but I was simply too full to try them all. The value for money here is excellent; to enjoy such exceptional service and experience for just over 1,000 RMB is truly worth it. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hangzhou!
