Hangzhou Yunzhongjing · West Lake Senyin Hotel

The hotel is located within the Yunqi Bamboo Trail scenic area, and the scenery is indeed beautiful, especially in the early morning before tourists arrive, when you can enjoy the 'Big Tree Kingdom' all to yourself. However, the room amenities are limited, and tourists constantly pass by the window during the day, so the curtains can't be opened. A highlight is the unlimited supply of Hupao Spring water, but there's no space to set up a tea table. Our butler, Xiao Yu, was very responsive and always ready to help. The breakfast, though small, was exquisite, with made-to-order noodles that tasted great.

Taking advantage of the tail end of summer vacation, I brought my daughter to Qiandao Lake for a family trip. After comparing several options, I chose this hotel, and our three-day, two-night stay was perfect, truly one of the top parent-child resorts in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area. I genuinely recommend it to all parents traveling with children. The hotel's location is excellent, occupying a central lakeside peninsula of Qiandao Lake. It's surrounded by the lake on three sides, offering expansive views. From the popular photo spots on the 5th and 6th floors, you can directly face the beautiful Qiandao Lake scenery. My only regret was that since we were traveling with friends, our travel dates were set a bit last minute, and we couldn't book two lake-view twin rooms. We had to settle for two landscape-view twin rooms. I want to thank our butler, Ziva, for specifically reserving two of the largest landscape rooms for us. The children had so much space to run around; the rooms were truly super, super spacious. Next time, I might choose a lake-view room for a different experience. The hotel provides a complete set of complimentary child-friendly items: a children's toilet seat, non-slip footstool, baby toiletries, small slippers, and a bed rail. The thoughtful details exceeded our expectations. The room and bathroom were clean, tidy, and odorless, and the toiletries were high-quality – Bulgari bath products, which was a nice touch! The sheets and pillows were soft and breathable. Our butler, Ziva, even thoughtfully mentioned that if the pillows were too soft, harder ones were available, which was very considerate. After a busy day, we slept soundly, and the soundproofing was excellent; we couldn't hear any noise from the corridor. The most amazing part was the hotel's 3,000-square-meter children's playground. This was the highlight of our trip and our favorite feature. It's incredibly spacious, and both toddlers and older children can find something fun to do. My daughter played in the ocean ball pit with the multi-story giant slide dozens of times and didn't want to leave. The dinosaur sandbox was equipped with a full set of digging tools and was clean and free of debris. There was also a carousel, a princess dress-up area, and a building block craft area where little girls could try on various princess dresses for photos. The playground is staffed by dedicated supervisors, provides free non-slip socks upon entry, and has clean restrooms and water dispensers inside, allowing parents to relax and unwind. In addition to the indoor playground, there were mini go-karts and a VR arcade on the basement level, which older children also enjoyed. On the first floor, there was also a screening room and an arcade, where I managed to win quite a few dolls for my daughter. The hotel also has large outdoor water activities and an indoor heated pool. Unfortunately, my daughter had a bit of an upset stomach before we left, so we couldn't experience them, which was a shame. Every evening at 7:30 and 8:30, there were two 88-meter-long water screen movies. The lights combined with the lake created an incredible atmosphere, and my daughter watched mesmerized. The only downside was that it was quite sweaty outdoors in the summer heat, but the good news was there were no mosquitoes. Dining was equally delightful. The hotel's buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, with a dedicated children's area featuring steamed dim sum, yogurt, cartoon-shaped pastries, and fresh squeezed juices. The ingredients were fresh, and the restaurant staff were attentive, proactively bringing baby utensils. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel's buffet Western restaurant; the dishes were fresh, complete, and the quality was top-notch. The hotel also provided discount vouchers for the buffet dinner, which saved us a good amount. It happened to be Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine's Day) on the night we had dinner, and the hotel even gave us themed heart-shaped cakes, which was a very lovely gesture. The entire hotel staff provided warm and thoughtful service. From the front desk check-in to the cleaning staff and the playground attendants, everyone was exceptionally patient with children. They proactively gave children small gifts during check-in, greeted my daughter whenever they saw her, and never pushed any sales, maintaining just the right balance in their service. Food delivery from outside was also convenient; orders could be picked up from a designated spot in the lobby on the first floor or delivered to the room by a robot. Additionally, the hotel offered a complimentary travel photography session. The emerging travel photographers were excellent, preserving precious memories of our trip. They also offered a reasonable discount on the digital negatives when we selected our photos, which we appreciated. This trip to Qiandao Lake with my daughter, thanks to Minghao Hotel, eliminated all the usual exhaustion of traveling with children. The huge children's playground, two pools, prime lake views, thoughtful child-friendly amenities, and meticulous, warm service were all top-notch. The value for money far exceeded other resorts in the same price range. Whether for a short weekend getaway with kids or a multi-day family vacation, it's perfectly suited. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Qiandao Lake, and I genuinely recommend it to everyone! Finally, I want to thank butler Ziva again for her attentive answers before check-in and her enthusiastic and thoughtful service during our stay. The emotional value she provided throughout made me feel exceptionally welcomed and respected. I truly look forward to seeing her again on my next stay!

The environment is absolutely stunning, small but beautiful, with picturesque views at every turn. The free drinks on the first basement level and the oden in the evening were both delicious. Traveling with kids, they had a blast playing in the courtyard's water features. I just wish there were more diverse parent-child activities. Also, the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy; I had to wear earplugs to sleep at night.

InterContinental Qiandao Lake, exclusively occupying the Xian Shan Peninsula, is a scenic destination in itself, perfect for a slow-paced getaway. The hotel offers a rich variety of dining options. The breakfast buffet on the first floor boasts a wide selection, and we enjoyed several excellent meals at the Chinese restaurant. The late-night diner on the fifth floor, opening at 9 PM, became a regular treat for the kids after swimming, serving various instant noodles with fresh eggs and vegetables. There's also a Japanese restaurant outside the lobby, perfect for a relaxed meal after a scenic walk or bike ride around the lake. You can rent bicycles and 'Panda cars' to explore the island. The peninsula is ecologically pristine, with blue butterflies dancing and swallows flitting about, showcasing abundant wildlife. Both indoor and outdoor pools have regularly changed water and are well-maintained. The hotel also has its own yacht pier; simply book at the front desk or buy tickets at the lobby shop for direct access to Huangshan Peak, making travel incredibly convenient. The most heartwarming part of our stay was the housekeeping auntie. When she saw my child's summer homework spread out, she thoughtfully placed an eye-protection desk lamp, noticing the dim light in the room. This small act of kindness was truly touching. With one island, one hotel, far from the hustle and bustle, nestled between the lake and mountains, enjoying nature in peace – this is the ideal state of a vacation.

An unforgettable luxury wellness retreat. I discovered Xixi Xin Hotel while searching for a peaceful escape, and it exceeded every expectation. The architecture is breathtaking, blending traditional Chinese culture with modern luxury in a way that feels elegant, authentic and incredibly calming. The attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional. The suites are beautifully designed with natural, eco-friendly materials that create an instantly grounding atmosphere. Upon entering, you’re welcomed by a Marshall speaker with a curated selection of nature sounds—waves, birds, rustling leaves and crackling fire—setting the tone for complete relaxation. The bathroom is equally impressive, with beautiful curtains opening to a soaking spa prepared daily with fresh rose petals and natural bath salts. Thoughtful touches such as soft linen loungewear and complimentary disposable swimwear made the experience feel effortlessly luxurious. Service is truly five-star. Each suite is assigned a personal butler who is attentive, responsive and genuinely committed to making your stay effortless. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the hospitality was warm, personal and sincere. I was initially hesitant about the vegetarian restaurant, but it was one of the highlights of my stay. The dishes were nutritious, beautifully presented and worthy of fine dining, while still being surprisingly filling. For those who prefer meat, there are also excellent restaurants nearby. The wellness program is outstanding, with daily yoga, Tai Chi, sound baths, traditional Chinese medicine consultations and other healing experiences. Classes run for around an hour and are led by knowledgeable instructors who genuinely care about your wellbeing, creating a deeply relaxing and restorative experience. With only around 8–10 suites, the hotel remains wonderfully quiet and intimate, allowing guests to completely disconnect from the outside world. After just three nights, I left feeling genuinely relaxed, grounded and restored. A rare hidden gem that combines exceptional architecture, thoughtful design, impeccable service and meaningful wellness experiences. If you’re looking for a peaceful five-star retreat focused on luxury, wellness and tranquillity, I couldn’t recommend Xixi Xin Hotel more highly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staying at the Dusit Thani Hotel feels just like coming home. It's truly a hidden gem nestled in the mountains! This time, I stayed in Building 3. While it's a bit further away than Buildings 1 and 2, the views more than make up for it. When you're on vacation, beautiful scenery and comfortable living are key, and Building 3 delivered perfectly on that front. The room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and welcoming, especially the floor attendant. She noticed I preferred black tea and thoughtfully left extra sachets for me, which was a lovely touch. These small details really stand out. Next time I travel, this will definitely be my top choice again!

I originally booked this hotel for the convenience of taking my child to Rotten Apple Park (which is directly opposite the hotel, and Hangzhou Paradise is even closer, just across the road). However, the hotel's service was a wonderful surprise, especially the butler, Ranran. She was so enthusiastic, adding me on WeChat beforehand to greet me. Upon check-in, she escorted me to my room, introducing the hotel's features along the way (she had already prepared the child's bed rail and potty that I requested in the room). She responded promptly to all my WeChat requests (providing bath bags, refilling bottled water, etc.). She even thoughtfully reminded me of meal times and locations before dinner and had a deer-shaped cart ready for my child when we went downstairs (my child absolutely loved it). The First World Hotel is a hotel with a strong tropical feel (in a Southeast Asian style). It's very large and has a domed garden with many tropical plants (the hotel upgraded our room to one with a terrace, which opens directly to this garden. It rained on our first day, but there was no rain noise at all in the room). The hotel also has the Yunman Hot Springs, which I didn't get to try this time as I didn't bring a bathrobe, but it looked great, and I plan to come back for it! There's ample parking. I arrived by high-speed rail, and the front desk even proactively asked if I drove and if I needed a parking voucher. Overall, as a family-friendly hotel, it made me, a first-time solo parent traveling with a young child, feel incredibly well taken care of. I will definitely be back! The hotel offers packages that include park tickets, and guests can get a discount on amusement park tickets (I forgot the exact price, but you can ask the hotel).

The Brilliance Resort Qiandao Lake: An Amazing Experience, Free Room Upgrade a Pleasant Surprise! Booking the Qiandao Lake Brilliance Resort for a client this time around was an absolutely perfect experience, especially the hotel's thoughtful free room upgrade service, which left the client feeling incredibly surprised and touched. I simply had to write a glowing review to express my appreciation! As the party responsible for booking a business trip, what matters most is the client's stay experience. The Brilliance Resort, with its professional service, stunning environment, and thoughtful details, perfectly met our expectations and left the client with a fantastic impression of their Qiandao Lake trip. The hotel's location is already exceptional, nestled on the Pailing Peninsula, with the serene waters of Qiandao Lake to the north and the Central Lake District tourist pier to the east. It's just a five-minute drive to the commercial district, making it incredibly convenient for travel, sightseeing, and business. The ample free parking also saved a lot of hassle for those traveling by car. Upon entering the hotel, the Chinese Sui and Tang style decor was elegant and grand. The lobby was spacious and bright, filled with a subtle, refreshing aroma. The staff warmly greeted us, and the check-in process was efficient and smooth. They were all smiles, patient, and meticulous throughout, and even proactively introduced us to the hotel's facilities and surrounding attractions. The first impression was simply perfect. Originally, I had booked a basic lake-view room for the client, so imagine our surprise when, during check-in, the staff informed us they could provide a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe lake-view king room! This unexpected pleasant surprise instantly brought immense joy! The upgraded room was more spacious, with a well-designed layout that showcased thoughtfulness everywhere. Opening the window revealed an unobstructed view of Qiandao Lake, with its clear blue water and scattered islands. Every photo taken was a therapeutic masterpiece. All sorts of toiletries were readily available, and every detail reflected the sophistication of a five-star hotel. What's more, the room's cleanliness was noteworthy – from the floor and desktop to the bedding and bathroom, everything was spotless, even the nooks and crannies were sparkling clean, ensuring the client had a very comfortable and reassuring stay. Beyond the impressive room, the hotel's amenities also earned high praise from the client. In the morning, they enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the Milan Western Restaurant, which offered a rich and diverse selection of Chinese and Western dishes. Freshly baked bread, local Chun'an specialties, fresh fruits, hot porridge, and pastries were all available, with fresh ingredients and excellent taste – a perfect way to start the day. During their leisure time, the client experienced the hotel's wellness hot spring pools. The 7 unique hot spring pools nestled among the pine trees each offered different benefits. Soaking in the warm spring water while gazing at the scenic beauty of Qiandao Lake was utterly relaxing for both body and mind. The hotel also boasts a gym, outdoor pool, and cycling trails. For families, the children's playground, pottery studio, and 3D children's cinema are sure to keep the little ones entertained, satisfying the needs of various guests in one go. The service throughout our stay made us truly feel the hotel's dedication. Whether it was the patient answers from the front desk staff, the meticulous attention of the housekeeping team, or the thoughtful guidance from the restaurant and hot spring area attendants, every staff member maintained a professional and enthusiastic attitude. They responded promptly when needed and proactively offered all sorts of thoughtful assistance. The client mentioned that during their stay at Brilliance, they not only experienced the natural beauty of Qiandao Lake but also felt the warmth of being truly at home. As a business booking, this experience far exceeded expectations. The complimentary room upgrade not only showed the hotel's sincerity to our client but also highlighted the Brilliance Resort's dedication to every guest. From the environment and facilities to the service and details, everything was impeccable, making it an excellent choice for a trip to Qiandao Lake. I've already added this hotel to our top list for business trips and personal vacations and will highly recommend it to friends. Next time we visit Qiandao Lake, we will definitely choose The Brilliance Resort Qiandao Lake again!

I read a lot of negative reviews before coming, so my expectations weren't very high. Naturally, every experience and feeling exceeded them. First, regarding the complaints about poor hygiene and facilities, I didn't experience that at all. The room had both air conditioning and underfloor heating, so it was very warm as soon as I entered. Everywhere I went was also very clean (perhaps because Phase 3 is newer). I also didn't find the service to be poor; in fact, I felt that every staff member I encountered was very polite. As for the hot springs, the pools in Phases 2 and 3 are a bit spread out and require a shuttle bus. Aside from the most popular influencer-heavy pool, the water quality in the other pools was quite good. Objective issues: We arrived late for dinner and could only be seated in the outdoor makeshift dining area. Although there were heaters and windbreaks, it couldn't be fully enclosed, and with a slight breeze in January, it still felt a bit chilly. (Our breakfast and dinner were buffets included in the package, and the food was really mediocre. If it's not part of your package, I wouldn't recommend paying for it; there are many restaurants nearby.) Also, walking between the hot springs can be quite cold (even though the shuttle buses have curtains). Overall, my family was very satisfied, and I hope to have such a good experience again next time.

Overall stay was nice in the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast had many western and Chinese options, which were good. Our package included indoor hot-spring experience which was suitable considering the cold weather outside. Only disappointment was 'Nausicaa of the Wind Tour Ticket' which was included in the package while booking from trip.com. In trip.com under package details it was mentioned that it was a scenic stop/park and we thought entry to that place is free but additional rides are payable. This information was absolutely misleading as after wasting lot of time, the information we received (after calling the provided contact number, talking with Hotel staff) was 'Nausicaa of the Wind Tour Ticket' was not located in or nearby the hotel but was in a totally far-off place. No clear information was provided by calling the contact number on how to use the offer as mentioned in trip.com booked package description. Either trip.com should remove that offer or provide a clear description about the location of that place, with pictures if possible, otherwise people will feel lucrative about the offer and go for the booking which actually is misleading.
