Cologne Hotels with Wi-Fi

"Great location, walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops in the city centre. Main lobby area was very nice and so were the rooms. The only minor issue in the room was that the bathroom door was in pretty rough condition on the inside due to water splashing from the shower. Wifi was pretty poor and we both ended up using mobile data the whole time we stayed at the hotel. Breakfast was good but I was hoping for a bit more variety, and the omelette chef was only present for a couple mornings out of our 6 night stay but it’s understandable because we stayed around Christmas. Great hotel for the price overall!"

"Facilities: The hotel is quite old, and the elevator is tiny, full of vintage charm. The main issue was the bathroom: there's no floor drain, so after showering, the whole bathroom was flooded. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was decent. Environment: It's not far from the station and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby, which is convenient. Service: It was alright, nothing special."

"About 1 kilometer from Cologne Cathedral, the view is also fantastic. It's located right on the Rhine River, and walking along the river offers beautiful scenery. There are tons of dining options nearby, an absolute feast for the eyes."

"The Dorint hotel is in a very central location with wonderful views of the cathedral. The staff were very professional (from pre-trip communication to check-in and check-out) and super friendly. The hotel is huge and has lifts to all floors. The room was large with ample furniture (larger bed than usual, built-in suitcase stand, full desk, armchair) and the decor a palimpsest of older furniture zhuzhed up with wall coverings, a decorative vase, floor lights in addition to bedside table lamps and desk light, etc. There was even a kettle to make tea and coffee, and a fridge, which was much appreciated! The bed was on the soft side and the pillows rather thin and fluffy, which was not quite to my liking. However, the blackout curtains and well-insulated windows made for a quiet night's sleep, despite the roads and building sites outside. It was still possible to open one window to let fresh air in. All in all, a very good experience."

The room was beautifully decorated and meticulously maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, and the breakfast buffet was particularly impressive. The location was ideal, with stunning views of the city. "The hotel is very simple but you're going to come and go on 10 stops from a little distance. If we come to the hotel they don't give the room we chose very badly, they gave a classic room. They said that we were there at 14:30 p.m. We're going to deliver at 15:30 p.m. they postponed and stopped because it's still cleaning. I didn't recommend that we left the bags and left the room before we got to get out."

"Situated in the Altstadt-Nord district, Hotel Merian is a short 2-minute walk from Cologne Central Station (Köln Hbf) and less than 10 minutes on foot from the Cologne Cathedral. This is the kind of hotel I am looking for and I highly recommend to anyone who is searching for an affordable stay in the heart of Cologne city."

"Booked this hotel with my colleagues on a business trip. We stayed for one night and thought it was good, so we booked another night. It was mainly because it was close to our business location. The hotel has a good location and convenient transportation. Thumbs up 👍"

"We stayed two adults and a child in this hotel. When we arrived bed for a child was not made and we had to do it our selves since there was just one person at the reception and hotel was quite full. The main bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows and towels. However, the sofa-bed was rather hard to sleep on. We liked that our room was very silent because the windows faced the backyard. However, air conditioning was quite a load. Breakfast was very good but gets very busy on weekends. In general, we liked this hotel."

"The location is perfect, only few minutes walk from the central station. The staff was also nice and friendly, enough support. And there is dryer available, which was nice. But overall, the room and corridor looks really like a prison or hospital, not at all giving the vibe of holiday stay... Luggage storage was available for free! we can store luggage until 11pm on the day of check out. There was no kitchen. There is locker OUTSIDE the room, which is so weird. We need to use our own padlock to lock the locker but most of them were occupied or not working (broken). Even with the padlock, it could be open easily so I did not use the locker. It seemed there is not enough number of lockers available compared to the number of the rooms and beds, at least lockers that are not broken. There is no curtain no privacy, even is a mixed gender room. It really feeled like a jail or something. The bedside light is too bright so that if one of us turn it on, the whole room could be bright enough, which is ridiculous. Also the sound proof was terrible that we can hear people outside singing, screaming and DJ-ing midnight, even with our windows and curtains closed. The sound of closing the door was so loud and the door seemed half broken. Also we could hear people talking in the corridor. The shower and toilet were also outside the room and they smelled so bad. Did not feel clean."
