"1. The hotel is clean and tidy. 2. Excellent service: From the concierge to the front desk and even housekeeping, all the staff were smiling and proactively greeting guests. 3. Spotless room: The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the mattress firmness was just right, ensuring a high-quality sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the water pressure was strong, and hot water was available very quickly. 4. Well-equipped facilities: The gym equipment was well-maintained, and the swimming pool environment was beautiful. The free Wi-Fi provided by the hotel was very fast. 5. Pleasant extras: The welcome fruit and complimentary mini-bar drinks were a thoughtful touch. Upon check-out, we even received some local specialty snacks as a gift."

"A basic single room near Cologne Cathedral, around 5 minutes walking distance from the Cologne Central Station. The check in process is easy (through their app), however, there's some issues with loading the page, so I ended up having to do it again at the front desk. The room is quite small, no proper table and chair for seating area, but has a small ensuite toilet. The heater is working well, as well as the hot shower water. There's no kettle provided in the hotel, and coffee with a fee at the G floor. There's elevator/lift in the hotel. This particular room doesn't have the cathedral view. It's a conveniently located hostel, so if you're on a budget trip, you may consider station here. They also provide luggage storage service before check-in & after check out."

"The hotel is very close to the Cologne Exhibition Hall, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there. The receptionist is very friendly. The room is clean and sanitary, and there is plenty of hot water. Disadvantages: Breakfast is a bit expensive at 28 euros; the quilt is too thin and too short (but not cold). Summary: I will choose this place again when I attend the Cologne Exhibition next time."

"We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. The location of the hotel is good, walkable distance to köln central station/ easy to locate. The hotel is clean and basic toiletries are provided. The bed and pillow are quite comfy to sleep in. Hotel staff are helpful and cheery. They will provide assistance when requested. There is a small lift to access the upper floor (stops at level 4). In terms of food, there are walkable options from the hotel, need not worry about late night snacking."

"Plus: Location: it is really close to cologne station View: it is great view where you could Rhine river at sunrise it is golden and it is beautiful Amenities : everything is comfortable. I love the fact they provide carbonated water and can opener for the bottled water. It is small details like that which differs between great and marvelous. "On arrival day, we were informed of a planned electricity power outage in all the rooms for 4 hours during our stay which resulted in no lighting, WiFi or TV working. While I understand that maintenance issues are necessary in all hotels, it would have been nice if management had made a small offer of compensation such as restaurant voucher, to guests impacted by this outage, but unfortunately no such offer was made. This has somewhat spoiled the experience of what would otherwise have been a very good hotel."

"After a long trip, had a nice rest here. The location is one stop from Cologne Main Station and 3 minutes walk away from station. The room is clean and warm. GGuest UserThe rooms were really spacious and the breakfast was delicious!! I would really recommend booking that if you‘re staying here. The only thing I have to criticize is that the gym is really small and it will quickly get crowded if multiple guests want to use it at once. There is only one multi use machine and treadmills, a bike and some weights which are way too heavy for most trainings. Overall we had a really great stay though!

The location was convenient, about a five-minute walk from the nearby bus stop. Tourist attractions like Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town are easily accessible by public transportation or taxi. Small supermarkets and small eateries are nearby, making daily groceries and meals convenient. The room was of moderate size, spacious enough for a single occupancy but a bit cramped for a double. The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). Breakfast is a simple buffet with basic items like bread, ham, eggs, coffee, and juice. The taste is quite satisfactory and can satisfy your hunger, but those who seek a richer meal may find it a bit monotonous. Overall, if you are looking for convenient travel in Cologne and a good value accommodation, this hotel meets basic needs and is suitable for travelers who value practicality over luxury.

Pros: - Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport. - Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6). - Amazing bed. - Full-size working desk in the room. - Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly. - The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge. - The food was amazing. Cons: - The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day. - Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point). Overall: - Highly recommend, would stay again.

The bed was big enough for me and my child; since we booked for two adults and one child, they even provided an extra bed, so we had three beds in total! The location is fantastic. It's very close to the train station and Cologne Cathedral, just a 5-minute walk away, yet it's tucked away from the main hustle, which made us feel quite safe and secure. We took a stroll near the hotel and discovered a highly-rated restaurant. We tried some authentic German cuisine there, and it was quite good. Cologne is truly wonderful; we even got some photos just like Jay Chou's! I highly recommend Trip.com! All our hotels for this Europe trip were booked through them, and it gave us great peace of mind. I compared their prices with several major platforms, and they truly offered the best rates. Highly, highly recommended!

GGuest UserWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe. The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort. As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne. When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time. Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

GGuest UserLyskirchen Köln is such a good choice even the locals and traveling Germans recommend it. The location is 5-7 minutes away from the Chocolate Museum and roughly 15 minutes from the cathedral and central station. You can easily walk to the restaurants (including a nice Thai place called Krua Thai) and bars and reach the Roman museum and Hohenzollern bridge without much effort. The rooms at Lyskirchen are comfortable but don't expect the typical extras associated with 4-star hotels. I was grateful for the swimming pool, which was spacious enough that kids don't bother you when you do short laps (most will be disappointed with the gym though). I highly recommend doing the online check-in because the front desk will tell you to perform it there anyway. Lyskirchen Köln has these really nice eco-friendly keycards too. The breakfast is typical intercontinental and limited (so if it's not included with the room the 25 euros isn't worth it). Overall, the hotel is still an excellent choice for a brief stop at Köln.

GGuest UserI booked the mixed 4-bed dorm as there were no other options in the city under €300/night. The location is very convenient and quiet, making it easy to get around by foot or public transport. The reception staff were extremely kind and helpful. However, I didn’t feel fully comfortable sharing the room with three men, especially since there were no curtains for privacy on the beds. Cleanliness could be improved, as there was visible dust, the room wasn’t well lit, and the outlets and reading light at my bed didn’t work. The bathrooms also lacked ventilation and a bath mat, which caused humidity and puddles after showering. For €74 per night, I expected more comfort and cleanliness. Still, this hostel has great potential if some improvements are made.

Then the more we got a feeling of the area & the room & its amenities we took a step back and realised it's not bad at all. It certainly isn't the Ritz, but you sometimes have to take a step back and accept for what the price we paid in a major city with a brilliant location. It's a very good deal. Room. The cleaner was very nice she came in every day for the basic jobs, comfortable bed, lovely, big pillows, hair dryer shower good pressure and comfortable for our size etc etc. We chose the breakfast which we knew it was going to be continental style, Ok for the 3 days but limited and same each morning. Muhammad, the general manager, is such a likeable guy. Everything we asked, he sorted.thanks, mate. The guys in the breakfast hall are all helpful & polite. Remember, those who are looking for a major hotel it's not that, but we see our trips around citys as just needing a base. we spend most of the days out once we've left the room. The location is very convenient, in the city centre and close to the train station, you have lots of shops and restaurants near by It could definitely do with some improvements, it's quite old and there are many stains on the carpets.
