The front desk lady was also super enthusiastic and helped us find delicious local food and fun things to do. It was just the right amount of warmth and hospitality, highly recommended."

"Last week's continuous rain in Dali really dampened my spirits. I'd been seriously debating whether to still take my child to Dali this week, not wanting to waste a whole week of annual leave for nothing. After much deliberation, I decided to just go for it and see what happens. But the moment I saw Erhai Lake, I knew: it was absolutely the right decision! So glad we came! Dali gifted us with beautiful weather. Erhai Lake is simply breathtaking. It has that serene, timeless beauty. ☀️🌊 Itinerary Day 1: We drove over 4 hours from Fuxian Lake to Dali, arriving early in the afternoon when the sun was shining beautifully. We stayed at a guesthouse along the Erhai Ecological Corridor, boasting massive floor-to-ceiling windows that looked right out onto Erhai Lake. Even my child exclaimed, 'Wow, this is so peaceful!' You could tell the owner had put a lot of thought into the guesthouse's decor. Every corner was picture-perfect. There were no unnecessary frills, yet everything felt refined and thoughtfully placed. It gets dark quite late in Dali, so after we dropped off our bags and relaxed for a bit at the guesthouse, we went to rent bicycles. If you're traveling with kids, I highly recommend renting bikes with a rear-mounted child safety seat. They come with seatbelts, so you don't have to worry about them falling off. At 30 yuan per day, I thought it was incredibly good value for money. Even though we only started riding in the late afternoon, we managed to cycle for almost two hours. The gentle breeze was just heavenly! Comparing it to Chongqing, which feels like an oven, this place was simply divine. During our ride, we stumbled upon a lovely, shallow spot perfect for children to splash around in. It was so pretty! We immediately ordered wading suits for delivery, planning to come back and play there first thing in the morning if the weather held up. We didn't have dinner until around 8 PM, opting for a casual eatery. Their seafood fried rice was absolutely delicious! And spicy! It was actually our 7th wedding anniversary today. We didn't pick a fancy restaurant or have a celebratory cake, but we still felt incredibly happy and content with how the day unfolded. ☺️ After dinner, we leisurely cycled back to return our bikes, then took a relaxed stroll back to our guesthouse. I asked the friendly guy at the front desk to warm up some milk for our son, and the rice noodles we had the next morning were also fantastic! Yunnan's rice noodles might look fiery with their red chili oil, but they're surprisingly mild, so kids can enjoy them without a problem. When we checked out, the staff member kindly helped us with our luggage and drove us to the parking area in their shuttle. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. Looking forward to Day 2!"

"The room is spacious with a great view. The sunrise is beautiful, and you can walk right down to Erhai Lake. The west side of the lake (Haixi) is less windy and warmer. The east side (Haidong) is much windier and colder. I'd recommend staying on the west side. Haidong is nice for a visit though. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and then head to Haixi in the afternoon – for example, the sunset at Shuanglang is stunning, though it's a bit far. It's better to rent a car to get around. However, avoid driving during peak seasons like National Day or Chinese New Year; parking is impossible to find and expensive. Even parking an e-bike in Dali costs 3 yuan."

"I was so busy playing outside that I forgot to take pictures of the hotel. The environment is great. There are many shops on both sides of the Old Town, but the hotel is very quiet, surrounded by residential courtyards, making it very peaceful and private. There's a washing machine and a place to dry clothes. Besides the excellent accommodation, the owner is very kind! The water was a little hot the night before (it was actually okay, not that hot), and the owner came to explain and apologize. When I was leaving, I almost missed the bus to the stop, but the owner, without a word, hopped on his electric scooter and whisked me all the way to the station in ten minutes. Thank you so much! The accommodation is quiet, and the Old Town streets are just 30 meters away, with all kinds of delicious food. There's a breakfast shop downstairs. "This stay was absolutely fantastic, I have to give it a big shout-out! The hotel's location is super convenient, the room was clean and tidy, and all the facilities were new, making for a very comfortable stay. The biggest surprise was the breakfast! The variety was incredible. All the ingredients were fresh, and the taste was really authentic, especially the freshly made rice noodles – absolutely delicious! The restaurant environment was also very clean, and the staff were quick to clear plates and had a wonderful attitude. All in all, both the accommodation and the breakfast were incredibly satisfying. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"

Service: The guy at the front desk was incredibly enthusiastic. He helped us with our luggage and even took it to our room. "The young staff at the hotel were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. The afternoon tea snacks were exquisitely handmade, and it was so delightful to sit in the cozy reception hall, basking in the winter sun facing Erhai Lake while enjoying them. The hotel's environment was spotless, and the courtyard was thoughtfully designed, truly an elegant and unique garden. Among many guesthouses, we chose this one, and it proved to be excellent value for money, adding a romantic touch to our Dali trip. Its location, a bit far from popular spots, was the only minor drawback, but it also brought a sense of peaceful tranquility."

"The accommodation resides in the middle of the ancient town, which made it very convenient for us to tour the sights around. The accommodation and the rooms are a traditional ancient town design, beautifully designed around the wood structures, very clean and it gives a very homely feel. When we checked in, the two staffs came out to the main road to help us bring in the luggages. Both rooms we booked were very huge and cozy. One has a spa pool with a mountain view. The staff were ever cheerful and gave us suggestions on where to eat and tour. They also helped us to contact the hotel of our next destination to arrange our transport and our journey went so smoothly. They took care of us very well indeed. Cheers to them !!"

"Very satisfied with the environment ~ It was already dark when we arrived. The boss was very enthusiastic to arrange a parking space in advance and helped us with our luggage. He was a very nice person. I chose the wrong time when I originally booked it, and he also helped us change the check-in time. The new room was a family room with a yard, which was very comfortable. We brought our dog, and the dog was just right to play in the yard. I also have a small suggestion after staying for two days. The owner should maintain the equipment and facilities in the house more, such as the bedside table and the small shelf for shower gel in the bathroom. They are all damaged. From the fact that the toilet paper is Jierou, it can be seen that the owner is serious about running the B&B and cares about everyone's check-in experience. It is warm and comfortable ~ I will come again next time!"

"Stayed here from 27–29 December and honestly, the hotel is beautiful. The host was incredibly kind and even helped carry our luggage, which we really appreciated. The hotel was very clean, cozy, and well maintained. They also provided halal breakfast — simple, but filling enough to start the day well. Waking up in the morning to a beautiful view was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel is located very close to the Santorini of Dali. You can easily walk there while enjoying the scenic views along the way, which makes the experience even more special. The surroundings are calm and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. However, it is quite far from Dali Old Town. Getting there by Didi takes around one hour, so it may not be the best option if you plan to go back and forth frequently. Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with stunning views, this hotel is a great choice. Highly recommended for those who prefer peace over crowds"
