Watermark Hotel-The Harbour

Siziwan Kaohsiung|0.9km from Siziwan Guesthouses of Chiang Kai-shek
When I first walked into the lobby, there was no one at the counter. At the moment, I only saw a young couple at the automatic check-in machine! After waiting for a while, the receptionist came out and checked the information to make sure I had a reservation, and then asked me to go to the back desk to check in myself. The first time I used the machine, the whole operation was very unsmooth! But in the end, I applied for the card and came out. But I don't know where to go upstairs! After asking the receptionist, she asked me my room number. I answered 8409, and she just said ”Go out to the left by the door!” Later, when I read the article, I found out that the hotel has other facilities and they didn’t even introduce them! When I arrived next door, because the room number was 8409, my first instinct was that the room was on the 8th floor, but when I opened the elevator, it was only five floors up! I thought it might be the fourth floor, so when the elevator opened on the fourth floor, there was a man pushing a cart that contained sheets. I thought he was the housekeeper, so I asked him if 8409 was on this floor? She looked at me questioningly and said it might not be this one! Later, I walked in 409 by myself and used the room card to confirm that I could enter the room before I knew where I was staying! What a terrible check-in experience! But I highly recommend the room and the view! ! !

Holiday Inn Express Kaohsiung Love River

Pier-2 Art Center/Yanchengpu Station Kaohsiung|2.19km from Siziwan Guesthouses of Chiang Kai-shek
I am visiting my mom in Taiwan and decided to spend a couple of nights in Kaohsiung. I will be quite honest. I didn't have a lot of expectations staying at a Holiday Inn Express. But the stay exceeded my expectations. I took the MRT and the station is less than 5 minutes walk to the hotel. The check in process was smooth. I was offered a drink (I picked soda!) at check in for being a Platinum member. A very nice gesture. My room is small, but most rooms in Asia seem small to me coming from the US. It has a tiny view of the river and the park. You can tell the hotel is pretty new. I work a lot in my room wherever I am traveling in the world. This modern room provides all the necessary electric outlets for me to plug whatever I need in. This is important to me as well as good working wifi, which this property provides. Oh! They also gave me a basket of snacks and drinks! That was a very pleasant surprise! The breakfast selection is somewhat limited but sufficient whether you are into ********* or Western breakfast. I don't travel to Taiwan often, so whenever I can have ********* breakfast, that's what I eat! They even have a noodle station, but unlike most other Asian hotels I stayed at, it is a self-serve Noodle station. I don't trust myself enough to make one. I wonder if it is possible for the hotel to allocate a staff person to work the station. The service at the breakfast buffet was great! They offered to make me drinks. I took the opportunity to order some iced latte. I almost gave this place a 5-star, but there are a couple of things needed work: 1) I could never get the shower head aligned to face me directly while standing in the middle of the shower. 2) The water pressure in the sink is really low when it is on cold. If I turned it away from cold, the pressure is fine. But I don't always want warm or hot water. 3) This one is more of a personal suggestion. I wish this place had a gym/workout room. That's another thing I look for when I travel. Not sure if there is anything they can do. But just thought I would throw it out there. I read some unnecessary harsh reviews (like one earlier where the worker had trouble finding their reservation), but my experience tells me the staff tries their best to make your stay enjoyable. I am sorry I couldn't quite give this hotel a 5-star, but I will definitely stay here again in the future when I am in Kaohsiung!

Sizihwan Sunset Beach Resort

Hotel location is relatively remote, 20 to 25 minutes from the MRT station, every time you go out to eat outside, you have to go far. But it is very beautiful when facing the beach sunset, and it is very good to take pictures and punch in. But the hotel originally had to go up the stairs. Haocai had a waiter to help carry luggage to the room. But when the car was in the front, I forgot to inform the waiter to carry the luggage and drop the lobby on the 2nd floor to check out. Buffet breakfast food is ok, but the time is a bit too early and too short. Because it is generally 7:30-10:30.

I booked a sweet room type. I read the reviews for this hotel, which has two hotels. The reviews were polarizing. I thought it was very cheap and I didn’t need to ask for too much. The result was amazing. I was placed in Room 202 on the 2nd floor. The sound insulation effect of the room is very good, there are floor-to-ceiling windows, and the air conditioning is very cool. The shower head in the bathroom has a large amount of water. If you need a hair dryer and toiletries, you can ask at the counter. The breakfast was so rich that I didn’t even need to eat lunch. The lobby also provides unlimited coffee, drinks, and snacks for free reception. There is also a dedicated parking lot Attractions, transportation, super convenient and high CP value ⭕️Even met the international star Xu Fangyi herself A great place to stay. I will stay there again next time

The environment is clean, the beds are good to sleep, the space is large and comfortable, the elevator is convenient, the aroma in the homestay is very like, the bathing equipment is textured, and there are free drinks. Although there is no parking fee support, there is a parking lot next to it, very close. (The parking lot in the same alley is up to 150 yuan on the same day)

Super awesome! It is very clean, tidy and quiet. The proprietress is very meticulous and patient to explain the points of attention in the room and the travel points of Kaohsiung attractions. There is also a detailed travel map of places to eat, drink and play on WeChat. The proprietress is recommended to open Alipay, which is a Taiwan dollar version, which is very convenient to open! Can be convenient for mainland tourists. There are also app versions of accommodation software registered in mainland China, which is convenient for searching.
