Hotels in Chenggong New District, Kunming

I've stayed here several times now. It's right in Colorful Yunnan, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs, making dining incredibly convenient. The rooms are uniquely designed and very spacious. For the same price, I doubt you could find another hotel with rooms this large. The attention to detail in the room's decor is also very thoughtful. They even provide a washing machine and a drying rack, which is a huge plus since it's often hard to find a place to dry clothes after washing them. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view of a sizable lake. You can sit and enjoy panoramic views of the lake and the city. Overall, my experience was extremely satisfying.

This hotel is incredibly close to Kunming South Railway Station, and they even offer a shuttle service to and from the station, though you need to book it in advance. The hotel has only been open for just over a year, so all the facilities are brand new and align with modern living habits and styles. The front desk staff are very welcoming. Xiao Kui, who checked us in, noticed we were a family of three and proactively offered extra slippers and toothbrushes, as well as a complimentary welcome fruit platter. On the first floor, there's a business center equipped with computers and a printer, which is really handy for any impromptu work you might need to do while traveling. Our lake view room offered a lovely view of Bailongtan Reservoir below. The room also has a pull-out sofa bed, which is super convenient for families with older children. Breakfast is served on the third floor, and there's a wide variety of food. The fries were a big hit with the many kids staying there, and the watermelon was deliciously sweet and juicy. There's even a small children's play area in the dining room, allowing parents to enjoy their meal in peace.

We were very satisfied with our stay here for our trip. We booked two rooms for two nights, and both rooms were exceptionally clean. The front desk staff (especially the lady at the front desk) was very kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back next time we visit. It's a great place for tourists to stay!

I stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Inn Kunming South, which was the last night of my Yunnan trip, and I was very satisfied. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel are beautiful, with lots of floral and green elements. The internal corridors are exceptionally wide, enough for three or four people to walk side-by-side, feeling more spacious than other chain hotels I've stayed in. The surroundings are very convenient. It's near a university town, with all sorts of delicious snacks, night markets, and restaurants nearby. The pickled cabbage and beef hotpot was especially good. It's also close to Kunming South Railway Station, and they offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the station. The hotel staff provided excellent service. The female receptionist was very kind and enthusiastic, giving me a free room upgrade. There was also an auntie who helped with laundry, and the shuttle driver was very good too. It's definitely worth staying here.

We chose this hotel for a layover, and it turned out to be a really great stay! The price was right, the room was very comfortable, and there were cute little plushies on the bed. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to and from the station. Plus, for guests like us who have an early morning train, there's a breakfast shop and a convenience store downstairs, which is super convenient. Highly recommend!

I stumbled upon this hotel by chance, and my overall experience exceeded expectations. The room was very clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, making for a quiet night. The front desk staff were efficient with check-in and polite without being overly enthusiastic. The location is convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. It offers great value for money, and it was a relief to get a good night's sleep after a long journey. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

The location is decent, about a 15-minute walk from the train station. Downstairs, there's a good variety of breakfast options and local specialties, all tasting quite good. The room facilities are very new and smart, and the cleanliness is excellent. The front desk staff were also quite welcoming. This is an office building-style hotel, with each floor housing a different hotel. The reception for all hotels is conveniently located on the ground floor, making it very suitable for a transit stay.

Every stay at Atour feels incredibly reassuring, and this time was no exception – another perfect score! The lobby is cozy and stylish, and the staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help. My room was spotless, with new and well-maintained facilities. The mattress and pillows were super comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep even for someone like me who's particular about beds. Breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, and they even had comforting porridge available late at night. The attention to detail and warm atmosphere truly make it the most comfortable place to stay during a trip. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

This room was infested with mosquitoes. Mosquitoes and other bugs were crawling all over us while we slept. Apart from Joyce Wang at the front desk, who was excellent, the service from everyone else was truly disappointing. They kept passing the buck when I tried to address the mosquito problem. First, they said they'd switch our room, but after waiting half an hour with no update, I called again and was told it wasn't possible, and that was that. Only after I got really angry did they suggest the manager could arrange for us to pay to move to another hotel room. It was already past 11 PM – what's the point of moving then? While the hotel being fully booked might be true, it's no excuse for such poor service and attitude. Leaving guests in a bug-ridden room is unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here.
