I love the traditional decoration of the hotel, it transports you back to the ancient time. However, the car cannot go in, you have to push your luggage into the street where the hotel is located. It's very near to the big malls and walking distance to the old town. Hotel was very nice to pack our breakfast for us because we have a train to catch early in the morning and the restaurant is not open yet.

This was my first time staying at a hostel from this chain, the one near Kunming's Zhuanxin Farmers Market, and I remember it had a beautiful bougainvillea bush! I chose Qincheng Hostel again, this time picking this specific branch because it's super close to Cuihu Lake, Wenlin Street, and Yunnan University. Their restaurant offers a great variety of food and drinks, and I particularly love their curry beef rice. There are activities every day, and especially on Saturday nights, they have a concert. The singer's voice is unique and beautiful, and listening to music in their cozy bar is just the most comfortable experience. 'Hei Mu Ya' (Blackwood Cliff) is their elevated platform, nestled among huge eucalyptus trees. It's really peaceful on rainy days and nice and cool when it's hot.

Good experience staying here. The staffs are kind and helpful, super convenient to get good food and nearby Kunming old street. I had great breakfast here. Doing laundry here, after set up for washing then just put a message to the helper, they will help to dry the clothes after washing and send to our room....super happy to stay here made my journey more enjoyable 😉

The front desk staff were super friendly and gave us a free room upgrade upon check-in. We asked for a quiet room, and they certainly delivered! Having a direct drinking water dispenser in the room was incredibly convenient; I didn't even need to use my own electric kettle. They provide fresh flower cakes daily, and housekeeping was prompt. Breakfast was also quite good. Every staff member we encountered was warm and polite. The hotel is located near Cuihu Lake, with bus stops nearby, making it easy to get around. We were very satisfied with our two-day stay. Oh, and they even gave us two small gifts when we checked out! Haha 😁

Great stay near Kunming Old Town – Amazing staff!Highly recommended 3-star hotel in a prime location. Mr. Lee (小李 ) and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. He even gave me perfect instructions to visit ”Sleeping Beauty” and the Dragon Gate (Longmen).The Room: The exterior and furniture look a bit old (3/5 for furniture), but the room is clean and comfortable. The shower has great water pressure, and the hotel provides free, unlimited bottled water. Breakfast is decent, and they offer takeaway breakfast bags from 7:20 AM for early tours.The Location: Just a 5-minute walk to Kunming Old Town. There is lots of cheap food nearby, including a fruit market across from the hospital selling 10 RMB coconuts. Buy silver make sure is 999.9 price around RMB29- RMB33/gram

I have to say, I absolutely loved this hotel! I canceled my original booking the day before my trip and chose this one instead, and it turns out it was the best decision ever! From the moment I walked in, I loved the ambiance. I had been walking for a while and was a bit hot. When I checked in, the two ladies at the front desk immediately offered me warm tea to drink 🥰. It was quiet and cozy, and the courtyard was just beautiful! It had goldfish and a misty, serene atmosphere, with flagstone paths. It's a shame it was raining, otherwise, I would have definitely sat there and read a book. The room was incredibly quiet, and the walls felt solid. The only minor issue was that it could get a bit noisy if people were talking in the hallway, but with earplugs, it wasn't a big problem. The room was very clean and comfortable. The mattress was incredibly soft; I was genuinely surprised when I sat on it. The bed height was also perfect for me, and I had an exceptionally comfortable night's sleep. I used to feel a bit uneasy staying in hotels alone, but this place had such a good vibe! It really helped me sleep soundly. Every single staff member (the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk, the housekeepers, and the restaurant staff) was exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was beautifully presented, and the rice noodles were clean and delicious. The hotel's WeChat service was very responsive, and replies were prompt. Considering it was raining, they even offered warm water and flower cakes when I checked out (their attention to detail was truly impressive!). Although Kunming was just a transit city for me, I genuinely had an excellent experience. Next time I visit or if friends come to tour, I will definitely recommend they stay at this hotel!

I stayed for 5 days in total, here are my thoughts: The hotel is beautiful, every corner is meticulously designed and heavily invested, exuding the aesthetics of 1956. It's definitely worth experiencing. It's also great for photos. Although some details in the room are a bit old and the facilities are somewhat average, the overall ambiance outweighs these shortcomings, so it's still a worthwhile choice. The service was also very attentive and excellent. The fruit platter in the room was replenished daily with various seasonal fruits, which was a thoughtful touch. In the evening, they would deliver things like white fungus soup (though we didn't drink it), but it left a very good impression. The butler was also very professional and accommodated all our needs. The pool was clean, and the longer we stayed over the 5 days, the more comfortable it became. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming. Additionally, I have some personal suggestions for improvement: 1. There are too few non-smoking twin rooms. We were involuntarily assigned to a smoking floor (10th floor), which they claimed had been treated to remove smoke odors. However, for the first two days, there was still a strange smell of smoke mixed with old carpet, an indescribable odor, which made it difficult to sleep well. It was quite bothersome. I hope more non-smoking floors can be added, and that room odors are thoroughly dealt with. The carpets could also be cleaned more frequently. 2. The shower is located inside the bathtub. Even with a shower curtain, water would inevitably flow over the edge of the tub, leaving the entire bathroom floor wet after showering. This was very inconvenient. We had to use towels to block the edge of the tub each time we showered, which helped a little, but water still escaped. I hope there's a way to improve this. 3. The wall near the room entrance has a thick, leather-like texture, but the surface is aged, with many pieces of the outer layer peeling off and flaking. I hope this can be improved. 4. Overall cleanliness still has room for improvement. When we first checked in, there were many water stains on the bathroom mirror! 5. The breakfast was generally delicious, but compared to other 4- and 5-star hotels, it lacked stir-fried rice and stir-fried noodles. I hope more stir-fried dishes can be added. Not everyone likes rice noodles, and if you don't eat them, the other main course options are quite limited. 6. There's no swimsuit spin dryer in the changing rooms by the pool, and the pool doesn't have lane dividers. These are points that I feel could be improved.

The room was very spacious, exactly as described in the details. I looked at so many hotels I got dizzy, but this one is great and I'm very satisfied. The room is big, with a separate wet and dry area, and a smart toilet. It's fully equipped, even with a dryer. I stayed for two days and was very happy. It's also close to Cuihu Park, making it convenient for getting around.

What an incredibly calming hidden gem of a hotel, the ambiance is just perfect! I was so pleasantly surprised by this stay! The hotel's common areas are just so well-designed! The moment I walked in, I was struck by the abundant greenery and soft lighting, like a miniature forest brought indoors. The light brown walls paired with cement-textured floors, vintage chandeliers, and large windows create a harmonious scene. The blue hydrangeas, bamboo groves, and small decorative touches make it feel like a secret, healing nook – every photo comes out looking amazing! The sofas are so plush, perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun. The street view outside and the indoor greenery complement each other beautifully, making you instantly slow down. The attention to detail is also very thoughtful; the whole place is clean yet sophisticated, without that noisy, overly commercial feel. Instead, it offers a sense of tranquil relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle. The service was also super nice, and the check-in process was very smooth – a truly excellent experience! I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves peace and quiet and appreciates a great atmosphere; you won't be disappointed!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The moment you walk in, you're struck by the stylish and beautiful design, with a color scheme that's both harmonious and pleasing to the eye. The front desk staff handled check-in efficiently and professionally, and their service was incredibly warm – their greetings and smiles were perfect. Inside the room, the bedding is comfortable and the color palette creates a cozy atmosphere. It's well-equipped, and having direct drinking water is both convenient and hygienic. The cleanliness is impeccable, truly superb. The location is great for getting around, with a metro station just 400 meters away. Excellent value for money!
