My stay here far exceeded my expectations. The room was spotlessly clean, with meticulous attention to detail everywhere. The mattress was just right – neither too soft nor too firm – and the soundproofing was excellent, making for a wonderfully quiet night. Check-in at the front desk was quick and smooth, and the staff were polite and responsive to all requests. The location is superb, making dining and getting around very convenient. Overall, it felt cozy and secure, making it a top choice for accommodation in this city. I've already recommended it to friends and look forward to staying again.

The bougainvillea in the courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the environment is very comfortable. You can play billiards and table tennis here. The food in the restaurant is also delicious. It's quite close to Green Lake and the subway station, making it convenient for getting around.

We love the free laundry service, the hotel staff sent our washed and dried clothes to our rooms the next morning. All towels were sealed in bags to ensure cleanliness. We were served honey drinks immediately when the staff met us at the counter. The rooms we booked were spacious. The location is definitely excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great stay near Kunming Old Town – Amazing staff!Highly recommended 3-star hotel in a prime location. Mr. Lee (小李 ) and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. He even gave me perfect instructions to visit ”Sleeping Beauty” and the Dragon Gate (Longmen).The Room: The exterior and furniture look a bit old (3/5 for furniture), but the room is clean and comfortable. The shower has great water pressure, and the hotel provides free, unlimited bottled water. Breakfast is decent, and they offer takeaway breakfast bags from 7:20 AM for early tours.The Location: Just a 5-minute walk to Kunming Old Town. There is lots of cheap food nearby, including a fruit market across from the hospital selling 10 RMB coconuts. Buy silver make sure is 999.9 price around RMB29- RMB33/gram

I highly recommend the Gongxili Yujian Hotel! The location is absolutely perfect – you can walk directly to Nanping Street, Jinma Biji Archway, and Kunming Old Street. Downstairs, there are authentic Yunnan snacks, shopping malls, and night markets, and it's convenient for taxis and subways. The new Chinese-style courtyard decor is elegant and visually appealing, and the free Hanfu rental for photoshoots is fantastic. The room hygiene is meticulous and thorough, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and the soundproofing is excellent, allowing for a good night's sleep even in a bustling area. The rooms are equipped with a direct drinking water dispenser and a wet/dry separated bathroom, showing thoughtful attention to detail. The front desk service is gentle and attentive; check-in was efficient, and they proactively recommended local food and sightseeing routes. In the evening, there are thoughtful complimentary late-night snacks, and the self-service breakfast offers a rich variety of local specialties. They also have a self-service laundry room, which is a must-have for travelers. This is my top choice for staying in Kunming, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Five stars, highly recommended! This is an old, established state guesthouse in Kunming that you absolutely must stay at. Its heritage, views, and service are all top-notch. The location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. Open the French windows and you're greeted with lake views and weeping willows. In autumn and winter, you can even spot red-billed gulls. Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy are within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring the old city without much travel. The hotel's design was partly conceived by I.M. Pei, blending new Chinese style with retro Art Deco. The lobby's gilded lotus sculpture, rosewood carvings, and vintage staircase create an incredible ambiance. The gardens are tranquil and elegant, and every photo you take captures the unique, understated elegance of a historic five-star hotel. Service is gentle, understated, and perfectly balanced, never intrusive. Upon check-in, guests receive fresh flowers and welcome fruits, and the room is refreshed daily with Yunnan-style floral arrangements. Turndown service includes peach gum and white fungus soup, along with seagull-shaped cookies – thoughtful details that truly shine. The 24-hour butler service is on-call, and staff members politely greet guests, always professional and sincere. The room comfort exceeded expectations. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent. During the dry season, the whole-house humidity control system is a lifesaver, especially for those with allergies. The bathroom features a built-in TV in the bathtub and electric privacy glass. All mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's even freshly ground Yunnan small-grain coffee, adding a distinct local touch. Breakfast is served in the lake-view restaurant, offering a rich variety of authentic dishes, including freshly prepared Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, 'posu bao' (flaky steamed buns), and rose 'naiba Jiu' (a local milky wine). Dining by the lake creates an exceptional atmosphere. The accompanying heated pool is clean and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is perfectly suited. Its century-old refined quality is irreplaceable. I will definitely choose Cuihu Hotel again on my next visit to Kunming!

The hotel's downtown location is super convenient, and the service was excellent. The washing machine worked really well too, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great experience! I'll definitely be back, especially to explore the cultural street next to the hotel and try the mushroom hotpot nearby.

The hygiene was excellent; the room was clean and tidy. The front desk area had a large, comfortable lounge. Although it's on the second floor, the manager has filled it with greenery (not potted plants, but actual plantings in the ground), which makes the air feel fresh and cool, like being in a garden. The room has a projector for watching TV, and the bathroom is dry-wet separated. The bed was very comfortable. Yesterday I had a tooth extracted and was feeling quite unwell, so I asked the front desk if I could have a quieter room. The young lady upgraded my room, and it was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel's building has plenty of parking spots in the ground-level lot; as long as you don't arrive too late, you'll likely find a space. The decor is very new, and the hygiene is excellent. I spilled some water on the floor, and when I wiped it with tissue, the paper wasn't even dirty. Both the front desk and room service staff were very good, greeting guests proactively and responding promptly. The only downside is breakfast from 7:30 to 8:00 AM, which is incredibly crowded. You have to share tables, and people cut in line for food. After 8:00 AM, it clears out significantly. This happened two days in a row. I suggest the hotel puts up a sign at the entrance to the breakfast area indicating peak times. Usually, 7:00 to 8:00 AM is less busy at hotels, so since this hotel's peak time is unusual, it would be helpful to advise guests to come at off-peak hours. However, the kitchen staff are exceptionally well-trained; they actively ask guests to queue up and instruct them not to touch the food directly.
