Omg we loved this hotel. It has everything we needed. The room was AMAZING and spotless, the pool on the roof was a plus, especially this time of the year (August). The surrounding area is super nice and full of eateries, also very easy to reach all the main attractions by didi. Would definitely love to come back.

One of the best things about this hotel is the service. Although there were some misunderstandings, the staff helped us solve them flawlessly. Thank you! 😄
An artistic retreat perched on the cliffs along the riverbank, dedicated to collecting the most magical everyday moments of the mountain city.
We understand that coming to Chongqing is not just about checking in at landmarks, but about immersion. That’s why we chose a site beside the legendary Liziba Light Rail Station, integrating the building seamlessly into the fabric of the mountain city. Here, you’ll not only enjoy a front-row view of the wondrous “light rail passing through a building” but also experience a unique space where the majestic Jialing River, bustling urban trains, and rolling mountain scenery all converge outside your window.
Key Highlights:
· Diverse and Modern Room Types: Fully equipped with smart home facilities, our rooms offer a modern stay experience. Professionally designed by dedicated designers, each space is crafted to be your private sanctuary.
· A Unique Perspective for Sightseeing: Whether lying in bed or relaxing in the room’s soaking tub, you can witness the magical moment of the light rail rushing between buildings in the most private and comfortable way. By day, watch boats on the river; by night, gaze at the starry sky—every moment outside your window is like a flowing documentary of Chongqing.
· Exclusive “Light Rail Through the Building” Ritual: We don’t just offer a viewing spot—we create experiences. Greet the passing light rail during breakfast on the terrace, or enjoy a drink at dusk as trains transform into streaks of light gliding through the buildings. This sense of immersion, of living in harmony with the city’s iconic landmark, is a unique gift from Rivershore.
· Tranquility Amidst the Bustle: Though located in the heart of a popular scenic area, clever spatial design and layout create a peaceful oasis within the hotel. Staying here allows you to instantly escape the tourist crowds and enjoy a sense of private retreat.
A Message to Travelers:
In Chongqing, the best views often require a bit of “height” and the right “angle.” Rivershore · Liziba is precisely that unique angle we’ve carefully prepared for you. This is not just a place to rest—it’s a gateway into the three-dimensional space and time of Chongqing.
We look forward to our next encounter, perhaps at the very moment a light rail glides past your window.
Very nice view, clean and generous room. Very good location: quiet but in a cool neighborhood and close to the metro. It’s a smart home, that can be tricky.

The room was very clean, and the facilities were quite complete. There was even a shuttle bus that picked me up at the entrance of the Second Factory. Taking photos in the room was also a great idea, as it's right outside the attraction and you can easily take pictures right away. The receptionist was very welcoming and responsible; she resolved any issues I had immediately.

The service was excellent and very thoughtful throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious every day, and the complimentary sweet rice ball soup in the evenings was especially comforting ❤️ We really appreciated the free laundry service, the Laifen hair dryer, and the warm smart toilet — which was particularly nice during the cold weather. All of these made our stay much more convenient and comfortable. Special thanks to the front desk staff, especially staff members No. 4 and No. 6. They were very friendly, professional, and attentive. We had an amazing time in Chongqing and would highly recommend this hotel 👍
Good option if you don't want to stay in the center of the city and still close to many attraction sites. I've stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed my stay here. It is very nice after a long day out to come back to a clean tidied up room. 2 bottles of water are replenished daily as well. Breakfast was great with Chinese and some Western options. Staff very friendly and helpful. I post breakfast picture since there aren't much and pictures yet.

GGuest UserOur group of four stayed in Chongqing for three nights, arriving in three separate waves. We stumbled upon this hotel and it turned out to be amazing value for money! It's a two-bedroom, one-living room apartment with a kitchen, a bathroom, and even a washer/dryer. The sofa is huge and super comfy, and we had a great river view from our room. The location is incredibly convenient, less than 30 minutes from the airport. There are all sorts of restaurants downstairs, and you can easily walk to Jiefangbei, Ba Yi Food Street, and Luohan Temple. The customer service representative was really warm and attentive. Highly recommend!
GGuest UserFinally checked into the long-awaited Regent Hotel's river-view room, and the scenery truly is breathtaking, especially at night – absolutely stunning. You don't even need to leave the room; you can just relax on the sofa or even lie in the bathtub while enjoying the beautiful views. It's incredibly comfortable. The hotel's service is also excellent; any request is promptly met with a quick message to the butler. They offer complimentary breakfast for children, turn-down service, bubble baths, and fruit delivery, all delivered quickly and efficiently. We had dinner at the hotel's Robins Teppanyaki & Grill, which was delicious. The steak was fantastic – the best I've had in Chongqing. I've also had the prawn teppanyaki here before, which was equally good. The breakfast buffet is also very generous, with authentic Chongqing noodles and spicy wontons; the chili oil is incredibly fragrant. There's also a wide variety of exquisite and delicious breads and pastries, and other dishes are great too. I'm looking forward to staying at the Regent Hotel again.
Zzljyy790527Every time I visit Chongqing, I stay at this hotel. The hygiene is good.
**Facilities:** Automatic curtains.
**Hygiene:** Very clean.
**Environment:** The location is super convenient, and the Cloud Eye is right on the top floor.
**Service:** The front desk lady upgraded my room type. It was fantastic!
Mmaja_meiReally happy with our stay. The hotel had enough elevators, so we never had to wait long. The room was sparkling clean, and the service was very helpful. The room that was first assigned to us had a cigarette smell, but we were able to change it quickly and the staff handled it without any issues and with an excellent attitude. The gentleman that checked us in even went with us to make sure the new room was alright. Breakfast was good, and the room itself looked exactly like the official photos, maybe even a bit better, which was a very nice surprise.
The location was also great. It was just a few minutes’ walk to Hongya Cave and the nearby shopping streets, and even Raffles City could be easily reached on foot. I can truly recommend staying here.
ZZuihuasuPerhaps it's because I studied at the most authoritative university program concerning Chongqing's history, but I've always been intensely curious about buildings with historical significance, especially hotels that have transformed from them. Whether I'm sitting on the sofa or lying in bed in my room, I can't help but imagine the stories that once unfolded here. While every space, given enough time, surely holds a fascinating past, spaces with explicit historical information make these fantasies more concrete, or less ambiguous, by narrowing the scope of imagination. I recall a story about an elderly French woman in the last century who came to the French Navy Barracks on Chongqing's Nanbin Road to search for her birthplace. The Ren'ai Hall, built in 1902 by the French Catholic Church, served as both a church and a hospital. During the Anti-Japanese War, it sheltered abandoned infants, earning it the nickname 'Orphanage' among older Chongqing residents. Where did the children born or raised at Ren'ai Hall go? Did any try to return and explore their past? What did they discover? These imagined scenarios could form a novel, and with a large enough sample size, they might even be true historical events. Regardless, the current Ren'ai Hall, both in terms of its guests' physical and mental state and the hotel's physical space, feels far more relaxed and peaceful than it did in the past.
After booking the room, several concierges were responsible throughout the entire process. The whole arrangement was very meticulous, and thanks to these arrangements, I personally had no questions that I needed to proactively ask during my entire stay. Before check-in, the concierge would inform me of the exact drop-off points for various transportation methods, and upon arrival, staff members were there to greet me. If I had a lot of luggage, even more staff would assist. The concierge also pre-booked a travel photography team. Teacher Zihao from Zixuan Photography, who handled our travel shoot, was very professional, both in his understanding of light and his ability to capture fleeting moments. A tip for friends who plan to do their own hair and makeup before the shoot: pay close attention to the final effect (the photography team has their own hair and makeup artists who can do it at the hotel, but due to time constraints, I did my own before check-in). It was my first time getting professional makeup, and I had no experience, so the result was so drastic I barely recognized myself, which unfortunately wasted many good photos. The afternoon tea was unremarkable, but whether it was breakfast, afternoon tea, or the evening sweet soup, a concierge could deliver it to the room. As for the room's interior design and the hotel's scenic views, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. (P.S.: Luckily, my room was upgraded to the Qiongyu Fanhua Suite, which I heard is the same one a certain celebrity stayed in.)
GGuest UserThe environment and service at Xiannvshan National Forest Park Bayu Homestay are both top-notch. The guesthouse offers pick-up and drop-off services to and from the scenic area entrance. Upon arrival, you're greeted by a tranquil courtyard surrounded by lush mountains and clear waters. The fresh air carries a faint scent of flowers and earth.
The guesthouse features a modern minimalist design, with wooden pavilions and intricately carved window frames; every detail showcases the unique charm of the local culture.
In terms of service, the staff are warm and attentive, from the thoughtful check-in guidance to meticulously planning sightseeing routes for guests, reflecting their genuine care. Here, you can savor authentic Bayu cuisine and experience a home-like warmth.
In the morning, as the first rays of sunlight hit your window, you can stroll through the forest and embrace nature's bounty. After nightfall, the guesthouse glows with warm lights, reflecting the starry sky, making you feel as if you're in a dreamland. Every moment at Xiannvshan National Forest Park Bayu Homestay is a wonderful encounter with nature and culture, leaving you lingering and looking forward to your next visit.
GGuest UserVery disappointed for a no. 3 4 stars hotel.
Amenities wise, it was lacking in many areas. The sound proofing was very bad, we could hear cars honking the entire time even though we were on floor 23, made it very difficult to stay asleep. The window blinds were too thin, not able to keep the light from coming in. The sliding doors to the shower and bathroom doesn't slide properly. No fridge in the room. No tissue box by the sink.
We could smell the cigarette smell from inside the room because they asked guests to smoke at the stairwell but the door to the stairwell was always open and our room was close to the stairwell. Even tho it's a non smoking room. We could smell everything.
They had free laundry provided on our floor but everyone uses it and other guests unloaded our things before the drying process was finished. Ended up losing an article of clothing.
The elevators took forever to come.
Only positive thing is that it's a very convenient location.
GGuest UserThis hotel is right next to Jiefangbei, and you can see the monument from your room. It's within walking distance of Metro Lines 1 and 2, and all the nearby attractions are easily accessible on foot. The room was spacious, and the hot water was fantastic – great pressure and plenty hot. The decor is classic Moxy style, trendy with some Sichuan-Chongqing touches. What's even more impressive is the revolving restaurant on the rooftop, which is still in operation and offers amazing 360-degree views of Chongqing.
An extra perk I really appreciated is that the Golden Impression spa is on the 6th floor of the hotel. After a day of walking around Chongqing, a city where you really rely on your feet, getting a massage and then taking the elevator straight back to your room to relax is pure bliss.
The staff were all very welcoming too. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.
AAnonymous UserExcellent service. Excellent location. Near the BRT (which we took only once). The service apartment is located in a block (that also had another hotel entrance), where the entrance to Fandiao is hidden from the main road. But aside from that, the building is noticeable and is the first tall building just before the viewing deck for the Qiansimen bridge and just before Hongyatong, as traffic flows (one way).
My specific booking for this room was for a Saturday night - a one night extension - and we chose the Hongyatong view, as our original room was already booked. We could see the massive crowds from our window view out there at and around Hongyatong and on the Qiansimen Bridge on the May 1 weekend
But the previous 4 nights, we were booked under my husband's name, and that room allowed us to see the drones show from the comfort of our large and beautiful room. That first room had a wall-to-wall window, that allowed us a view of the river, a block of apartments right in front of us, and some street views. There are pros and cons to different rooms. The drone show is on weekends. If you are not on weekends, the HongYa Tong view is nicer, but only my first room (which was much larger at 40 sq metres) had a long window seat which was lovely.
I share a few photos, one with a view of Hongyatong (this booking, and from the other room, where we could see the drone show. Remember they are different rooms. But you could easily come downstairs and watch the drones from the little corner outside the lobby. There's still a crowd, but you could see the drones rising to the sky.
The customer service was excellent, for some reason, we were first given paper disposable towels in our first room, and I rejected that for cloth towels which were then given to us. The reception is on the 19th floor, and all the service personnel were willing to please (communicate via WeChat, with translation). And always asked if there were things they could do.
Some idiosyncrasies (from a Malaysian view). They have glasses in the room but no cups/mugs for making tea the conventional English way, but the customer service brought cups with handles when we asked for them. No tea or coffee sachets provided but there were bottles of water and soft drinks, which we didn't take. I think it may be the context where soft drinks (in th fridge) were deemed more suitable and glasses were provided more for soft drinks. I had brought some 3-in-1 coffee sachets all the way from home just in case, that seemed providential when we checked in.
Corridors in front of the lifts on the floors are motion sensored, so we were at first surprised by the darkness when the lift opened, but we got used to it. You have to decide whether you support energy efficiency or not. 😂
All in, we had a memorable time in Chongqing, thanks also to Fandiao. I would go and stay again and recommend it. Just bear in mind that the road right in front of the hotel is closed to the traffic at night on weekends (and likely public holidays). Plenty of food nearby, and beautiful spots for photos. There's also a Lawson store across the bridge 100 metres away where we bought our sandwiches, buns, oden, and coffee, for snacks.
GGuest UserI highly recommend the Le Méridien Chongqing, Nanchuan! It's located right in the Nanchuan Wanda business district, next to Line 3's Gongmao Station, making it super convenient to get to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. Plus, there's a one-stop shop for food and shopping right downstairs. As expected from a Marriott property, the quality is top-notch. The lobby has high ceilings and a strong artistic vibe, and the spiral staircase is fantastic for photos. The rooms are spacious and bright with separate wet and dry areas, and the amenities are premium. The high-floor rooms offer expansive views and stunning nightscapes. Sara and Daisy provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service – always smiling, enthusiastic, and quick to respond. The breakfast spread was excellent, a rich mix of Western and Chinese options, making for a perfect experience. It's ideal for both business trips and leisure travel. I was extremely satisfied with my stay!
