I stayed at this hotel for ten days and was generally very satisfied. It's very close to the city center, which is convenient for getting around. The soundproofing is a little bit lacking, but it wasn't a major issue for me. If I attend the book fair again, I'll definitely choose to stay here.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city and close to tourist attractions. The room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. A small note: a hair dryer in the room would be a great addition. However, the staff were very kind and promptly provided one when I asked at the front desk. All other necessary amenities were available. The night view from the room was vibrant and lively. The area is super convenient, with a 7-Eleven, Starbucks, and a 24-hour Burger King just steps away. I had a very comfortable sleep, and the free parking was a significant plus. Overall, a fantastic and hassle-free stay!

Loved the location of this hotel , located ideally for shopping , the metro and for generally getting around. We booked a connecting room which was perfect for our family trip. Pool was great to cool down after a long day out and about. Service was exemplary. Staff arranged a SUV taxi back to the airport for us too!

This is the coziest and most comfortable hostel I've ever stayed at in Bangkok. The front desk staff and cleaning ladies were all incredibly gentle and friendly. Every corner was clean and bright, the beds were soft and comfortable, and the toilet and shower were separate and spotless. There's also a kitchen available for use. My absolute favorite was the small balcony; I could spend ages out there, haha! 😁 Regarding the comments about street noise, I always bring an eye mask and earplugs when I travel, especially for hostels, as they're pretty essential. Anyway, I slept really well for all four nights! Hehe~

For a hotel priced at 600-700 RMB, it's acceptable, but definitely not worth it if it's over 1000 RMB. The reason for the mediocre review is that we initially booked a 3-night, 4-day stay for two people. Later, a friend decided to join us. We weren't aware that an extra person would incur a 300 RMB charge per night. If we had known, we would have booked a 5-star hotel! But since we were already there, we grudgingly paid it. My dissatisfaction isn't about the few hundred RMB, but what happened afterward! We never entered or exited the hotel all three of us together. We also checked in as two people. Each time we returned, we had different things to buy and entered separately, often through the 7-Eleven passage next door, avoiding the main lobby. How did the hotel know there were three girls in our room? I'm honestly a bit unnerved – do they have cameras in the rooms? On the second day, we received a letter stating they discovered an extra person staying with us and demanded an additional 300 RMB per night. Then, the internet was cut off the next day! We figured we'd settle it upon checkout, as we felt our English wasn't good enough to communicate effectively. However, on the morning of the third day, we received another notice! This time, they threatened to deactivate our room key cards, meaning we wouldn't be able to re-enter our room if we went out! So, we went to the front desk to pay. The staff used a translation app on her phone to explain that all guests staying at the hotel needed to be registered. After we paid, the issue of registration seemed to vanish! It was only when I proactively asked if they needed another passport that she finally took it.

Best location in my opinion, will def consider to stay here next time. Receptionists are very kind and friendly, got elevators, got room for family, pretty close by to 7/11, samyan mall, and a big temple. Got cafe downstairs as well. Top tier location in my opinion, really close to the city center. However bathroom is a bit small (not a problem for me) might be a bit inconvenient for wheelchair user.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I would especially like to commend the honesty and professionalism of the team. After I checked out, the housekeeping staff found cash that I had accidentally left behind in my room. The hotel immediately contacted me and securely kept the money in their safety box. This level of integrity and responsibility is rare and deeply appreciated. The staff were not only efficient but also genuinely trustworthy, which gave me great peace of mind as a guest. This experience reflects excellent internal management, strong values, and a well-trained team. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place with excellent service, reliable staff, and high ethical standards. I will definitely stay here again.

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Silom. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the BTS station, which is perfect for us buddies! The room was a bit small, but it had everything we needed and felt quite new. No critters, very clean. I didn't book breakfast since I never wake up in time, so no comment there. On our second day, the front desk attendant even upgraded us to a better room – loved that! The hotel's gym is super well-equipped, great for a daily workout with the guys, and it even has a sauna. This will definitely be our go-to hotel in Bangkok from now on.

The hotel has a very beautiful lobby and setting. The doormen are active and have positive attitude. It is just opposite the Patpong Night Market and is very convenient for everything. However, from my experience, sorry to say it is not a 5 stars hotel. The entrance of the hotel to check in area has 2 levels of mezzanine with steps. However there have no ramp for trolley luggage. Beware of that. I stayed at 7th floor and facing the road. Room is very basic and decent. But the sound proof is bad, very noisy during the night. Always woke up by noises from different rooms, moving tables or something. Can hear the next room switching on and off the light switches during the sleep. There have no indication on the switch to let users know which is the area for it. So we just have to press different switches on and off to see. Corridors are in very low light and old. Gym is clean and decent sizes. Machines are well maintained and not many types of weight lifting. Only 1 unisex toilet in the gym. Swimming pool is very small as for 5 stars hotel....always packed with people trying to get sun bath. No sauna nor steam facilities. Dont even know if there have shower or changing room around as no indication. There don't even have indication in the lift to show which floor for the pool and gym. Breakfast is very basic and the highlight will be the chichen wing noodle but is not served daily. Big table and dining area. You have to ask for pot of tea if you want tea for breakfast.

CCK97My wife and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with a 3-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel and it was an unforgettable experience. Although not so modern, our room was luxurious and well maintained, providing all the comforts and amenities we needed. We especially looked forward to breakfast each morning, eager to enjoy the chef’s special of the day, which never disappointed and added a delightful start to our day. During our stay, we appreciated the convenient location near all the shopping malls and attractions. Overall, our experience at the Grand Hyatt Erawan was wonderful except for an evening where the shower area and all the taps only has hot water regardless turning on the cold or hot water tap. The technician team was quick in resolving the issue about 15-20 mins later. It made our 21st wedding anniversary extra special, and we will still come back for more anniversary celebrations. Highly recommended for couples or anyone seeking a luxurious getaway.

CCurt 常鹰We saved this hotel until last – slightly fancier than the other 3 in our time in Thailand – as a little final night trip, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing of the lot. The price, by global standards, might not be eye-watering. But by Thailand prices, it was certainly higher end, at over 800rmb per night with a ~450 (2000bht) deposit upon arrival. It did not meet those standards, I'm afraid to say. First things first, it should be said that it is fairly easy to get to on the MTR system, just a very short walk from Hwai Khwang, though it should be pointed out that when using Trip to find the location of Google Maps, I was given the wrong spot (further down the road, so actually a nice surprise to see it was closer, and I wont hold this against the hotel as it is likely nothing to do with them.) Serve at check-in was good, bags carried up the stairs for us and taken to the room with the porter stood waiting as we arrived. Check-in staff were as friendly as one would expect at a Marriott-run hotel of this quality, & though I was slightly surprised by the price of the deposit it was ultimately fine. We had booked a deluxe room with a double bed, and were told that since there was none available (?), we'd be upgraded to a Premier. Looking at the app since, I'm struggling to see where they differ. The decor in the Premier is perhaps a bit more modern, but they are the same size with the same bathroom (more on that later), and the lower price-point is on a much higher floor (ergo better view, I'd assume). In truth, had I paid for a Premier & been greeted with our room, I'd have been even more disappointed. The room was fine, but I'm not sure much more than that. A decent size, though by no means surprisingly big. It was at least quite airy, and the bed pretty comfortable, though seriously lacking in plug sockets. I find it rare to see a hotel these days without plug sockets on both sides of the bed, especially a hotel at this price point. It meant that only one phone could be charged nearby, the other on the table on the other side of the room. The bathroom, though, was really, really disappointing (& that's putting it lightly). The bathtub might have been a nice touch, had it not quite clearly had dried on blood stains in it. I've never experienced this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap. Let alone at one double the price of anywhere else we stayed in Bangkok and Thailand! The sink, too, was clearly scratched up dirty, with two clear globs of dried on mucus. No face washing in there for us. Fortunate perhaps, given the number of towels provided too was pretty light. The bin in the bathroom also came with no bin bag. I'd hope that the inside is therefore cleaned regularly, but given what we'd seen before, I wasn't filled with hope. Elswhere, breakfast was generally of expected quality. Nothing to write home about per se, but a very nice dining area and good service in fairness. The coffee was decent, though again by no means hugely memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, offering great views across the city (indeed, the view from our room was quite nice too – though can't help thinking it would be better from a higher floor, like in the cheaper rooms!), with ample comfy beds and free towels. It might be a bit small in peak season, but there were only 3 other groups sharing with us, so plenty of space for a swim. We also enjoyed the massage (850bht). The price was not included in the room fee, but I thought 850 seemed a decent price for the quality and the convenience. Each of these things could be the most memorable part of the trip, were we not greeted by the dirtiest bathroom I've ever experienced in a hotel. & that's a real pity, because it was so avoidable too! Especially from a Marriott hotel, I'd really expect better.

GGuest UserPros: The hygiene is excellent. The common areas are right by the Chao Phraya River, and it's fantastic to enjoy a drink while watching the river at night. The staff are very enthusiastic. The bed space is ample, with two power outlets and a small locker with a combination lock. There's also a large storage cabinet in the room that opens with your room card. Cons: The only way to get into the hostel is through a fish market, which has a very strong, fishy smell, though it's bearable. Being close to the river means there are quite a few insects, which is understandable. The toilets don't have air conditioning, so it gets extremely hot when using them. The air conditioning in the rooms is turned off daily from 11 AM to 3 PM, which isn't very friendly for guests who want to rest in bed. Everyone's shoes are piled up on the second floor, and some of them are incredibly smelly, like biohazards. I hope the hotel can improve management and ensure everyone puts their shoes in a shoe cabinet!

BBeishandaxianThis is an older hotel, but it has a great location. The hotel offers a boat shuttle to the pier and metro, making it very convenient to get to Iconsiam with just one transfer. This is my second stay here, and the hotel has been gradually upgrading its facilities over the past couple of years, with noticeable improvements to the room conditions. The breakfast is excellent, and you can enjoy it either outdoors by the river or indoors. There are quite a few European guests. The room I was assigned this time had a nice view looking straight ahead, with a direct view of the river and the Ferris wheel. However, if you looked down, there was a European-style cemetery. I personally don't mind it as it's not part of my cultural beliefs, but if you're bothered by it, I suggest mentioning it to the front desk when you check in.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed... The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them. The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality. Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better. Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

ZZaichuangxintianyaThe location is pretty good, with EM Mall right next door, making dining, shopping, and entertainment incredibly convenient. However, it's a bit of a trek to Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy. While Bangkok has bike-sharing services like Hello Ride, they're not very practical due to the lack of dedicated bike lanes and the requirement to return bikes to fixed locations. The breakfast spread is excellent, and the staff are all very professional and enthusiastic. Although the price was a bit higher during Chinese New Year, it's still a highly recommended hotel offering great value for money in Bangkok's Sukhumvit area.

AAnonymous UserA good location for travellers looking for a quieter neighbourhood compared to the usual sukhumvit experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again. 1. Gets really inaccesible to convenience stores (they do sell limited options of snacks - at a surcharge of course) 2. Engaged their laundry services, almost couldn’t get it back and wanted to bill me an additional fee to get it back in time for me to checkout and catch my flight. Turns out one of my pants was damaged along the way but made no comments about it till I found out. Didn’t pursue this matter as I have to catch a flight, no time to look for resolutions. 3. Was back at the hotel one of the days slightly earlier at 4:30pm, to my dismay the room wasn’t cleaned, the crew only came by at 5:30pm and offered to clean the room but it wasn’t convenient for me (I was half asleep too). Subsequently took a mental note that I can’t be back at the hotel till at least 7pm if I need my room to be cleaned Your experience may vary, but certainly not one of the experience I was thinking I would received.
