FX Hotel is 2 minutes away from MRT and 5 minutes away from Airport Airlink by walk. Very easy to check-in, explore the city and go to the airport at night or early morning. This was the main reason we booked this place and it worked nicely. Additionally, there's a boat pier, we used it to get to malls quickly. Just check Asok Pier on the map, sit in the boat, pay 14 bahts and double-check you're going to the direction of Pratunam Pier. Road will take 10 minutes which is faster than taxis or buses.

Asoke Residence is opposite the eye hospital, and a bit far from Pratunam, closer to Makkasan, its location is on the busy Asoke Montri road, with loads of traffic but you can get around by taxi. Good place for a staycation.

Pros: The hotel is brand new overall, conveniently located close to both the MTR and ARL. The service and environment are good, and it has direct access to a 7-Eleven, which is great for grabbing things. Cons: The bathroom is quite small; while the room itself is a decent size, the bathroom design isn't great. Soundproofing is also poor—you can hear traffic from the main road, and the walls are thin, so water running from the rooms above, below, and beside you is very loud. Other: You can ask the front desk for disposable slippers. If you're a light sleeper, definitely bring earplugs.

Mercure is good 4**** hotel with nice restaurants and swimming pool + gym. Restaurant is fine, but not for vegetarians, so if you vegetarian is not enough choice here.Staff on restaurant is very kind, they make nice coffee on bar, on weekdays special price for lunch *until 14:00. Room - Big TV with YouTube) soft beds, but uncomfortable design with open bathroom and toilet, we prefer classical. Cleaning quality is OK, don’t expect too much. Room was small with 2 beds, table, chair, teapot, small fridge and safe. Hotel provide friendly shuttle to metro station ) thanks. View from window is wide urbanistic scene.

This is my 3rd time staying at Lancaster. Am very happy check in staff accorded me with a high floor nice room with good view. Only downside this round is we are not able to extend our check out time as hotel is fully booked. Understood the predicament of the front desk staff. The other disappointment was we were not able to sight or use the tuk tuk service as we were always told inevitably each time we book was it will take 20-30 mins for tuk tuk to return. Anyways, for a senior with knee issues this is not friendly. Owing to your location, it also took long time for grab or bolt to arrive so that is the downside. Other than that alls well and I must say the F&B and all other services remain in above par excellence ! Hope hotel can consider hvg more tuk tuks. Enjoyed the stay in your rooms and the restaurants’ food and service and variety !!!

First, let's talk about the hotel's location. If you're taking the MRT Blue Line to Phra Ram 9 station (BL20), I highly recommend exiting from Exit 1. After exiting, walk straight along the road until you reach a traffic light, then turn right. Continue to the second alleyway, where you'll see a 7-Eleven. The hotel is directly across the street. There's a zebra crossing to get you safely to the hotel entrance. A friendly tip: don't follow Google Maps. It'll direct you to Exit 3, which involves crossing the street three times and is less convenient and a bit roundabout. I stayed in a single king-size room. The hotel is newly opened but has already aired out from any formaldehyde, so it's very clean, and the hygiene is excellent. The room provides flip-flops and small bars of soap, but no toothpaste or toothbrush. What I appreciated most was the free capsule coffee machine; the coffee was very fragrant. Of course, there's also free freshly ground coffee in the lobby on the ground floor. Four bottles of complimentary drinking water are provided daily, which is usually enough. If you need more, you can call the hotel, and the operator speaks English, Chinese, and, of course, Thai. I saw some comments mentioning that the shower didn't have a barrier, leading to water everywhere in the bathroom. I stayed for five consecutive days and personally found this not to be the case at all. Showering was quite enjoyable, and the bathroom didn't get flooded. The drain also worked very quickly. The only thing that could be improved is that the bathroom door does block the sink somewhat, which is a design flaw, but it doesn't affect normal use. During check-in, there was staff who spoke Chinese, and even more fluently, English, so communication was not an issue. You'll need to fill out some personal information like email and phone number. A 200 baht deposit is collected per room and refunded upon check-out. The hotel's surroundings offer very convenient shopping and dining. Lotus's supermarket and Central Rama 9 are nearby, making shopping very easy. In terms of transportation, it's only two MRT Blue Line stops to Sukhumvit and Asok, and the Blue Line also goes directly to Chatuchak Weekend Market. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Bangkok.

It's hard to find a good value-for-money hotel in Sukhumvit, Bangkok during Chinese New Year, but I managed to book a newly renovated deluxe room, which was lovely. The location is convenient for getting around, and there's a public car park where you can get your parking validated for free. The surrounding area has a vibrant nightlife, perfect for night owls.

It’s the 4th time I stay this hotel in the past 6 yrs, the location is still great, convenient to live, 2-min walk to 7-11 with rich merchandise to buy. Cool 24hrs restaurant besides lobby is impressed. On the other hand, hotel hardware and furnishings are getting old compared to 6 years ago, although house keeping service are good, you cannot require to clean residue on the sofa cloth materials. The short, such as room lighting effect has a bit poor, some of power socket are not tight and functional. I appreciate lobby manager gentleman respond and find solution within 5 hours after I mention shower water pressure and temperature fluctuating. Overall are professional, lobby place 2 fans when daytime become hotter. Just not so competitive to other new hotels, executive party should consider upgrade to attract more tourists

When i check in there was one woman on reception and she wasnt that kind. It was clean but inside the capsule it was so humid everything felt kinda wet. It was so hot inside capsule and there was only fan inside it has so much noise when you put it on full power i didnt knew if i need open the capsule door or close to make it more cool. And 500 baht for deposit is not necessary when i already paid for the bed.

CCK97My wife and I recently celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary with a 3-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel and it was an unforgettable experience. Although not so modern, our room was luxurious and well maintained, providing all the comforts and amenities we needed. We especially looked forward to breakfast each morning, eager to enjoy the chef’s special of the day, which never disappointed and added a delightful start to our day. During our stay, we appreciated the convenient location near all the shopping malls and attractions. Overall, our experience at the Grand Hyatt Erawan was wonderful except for an evening where the shower area and all the taps only has hot water regardless turning on the cold or hot water tap. The technician team was quick in resolving the issue about 15-20 mins later. It made our 21st wedding anniversary extra special, and we will still come back for more anniversary celebrations. Highly recommended for couples or anyone seeking a luxurious getaway.

CCurt 常鹰We saved this hotel until last – slightly fancier than the other 3 in our time in Thailand – as a little final night trip, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing of the lot. The price, by global standards, might not be eye-watering. But by Thailand prices, it was certainly higher end, at over 800rmb per night with a ~450 (2000bht) deposit upon arrival. It did not meet those standards, I'm afraid to say. First things first, it should be said that it is fairly easy to get to on the MTR system, just a very short walk from Hwai Khwang, though it should be pointed out that when using Trip to find the location of Google Maps, I was given the wrong spot (further down the road, so actually a nice surprise to see it was closer, and I wont hold this against the hotel as it is likely nothing to do with them.) Serve at check-in was good, bags carried up the stairs for us and taken to the room with the porter stood waiting as we arrived. Check-in staff were as friendly as one would expect at a Marriott-run hotel of this quality, & though I was slightly surprised by the price of the deposit it was ultimately fine. We had booked a deluxe room with a double bed, and were told that since there was none available (?), we'd be upgraded to a Premier. Looking at the app since, I'm struggling to see where they differ. The decor in the Premier is perhaps a bit more modern, but they are the same size with the same bathroom (more on that later), and the lower price-point is on a much higher floor (ergo better view, I'd assume). In truth, had I paid for a Premier & been greeted with our room, I'd have been even more disappointed. The room was fine, but I'm not sure much more than that. A decent size, though by no means surprisingly big. It was at least quite airy, and the bed pretty comfortable, though seriously lacking in plug sockets. I find it rare to see a hotel these days without plug sockets on both sides of the bed, especially a hotel at this price point. It meant that only one phone could be charged nearby, the other on the table on the other side of the room. The bathroom, though, was really, really disappointing (& that's putting it lightly). The bathtub might have been a nice touch, had it not quite clearly had dried on blood stains in it. I've never experienced this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, no matter how cheap. Let alone at one double the price of anywhere else we stayed in Bangkok and Thailand! The sink, too, was clearly scratched up dirty, with two clear globs of dried on mucus. No face washing in there for us. Fortunate perhaps, given the number of towels provided too was pretty light. The bin in the bathroom also came with no bin bag. I'd hope that the inside is therefore cleaned regularly, but given what we'd seen before, I wasn't filled with hope. Elswhere, breakfast was generally of expected quality. Nothing to write home about per se, but a very nice dining area and good service in fairness. The coffee was decent, though again by no means hugely memorable. The swimming pool is a highlight, offering great views across the city (indeed, the view from our room was quite nice too – though can't help thinking it would be better from a higher floor, like in the cheaper rooms!), with ample comfy beds and free towels. It might be a bit small in peak season, but there were only 3 other groups sharing with us, so plenty of space for a swim. We also enjoyed the massage (850bht). The price was not included in the room fee, but I thought 850 seemed a decent price for the quality and the convenience. Each of these things could be the most memorable part of the trip, were we not greeted by the dirtiest bathroom I've ever experienced in a hotel. & that's a real pity, because it was so avoidable too! Especially from a Marriott hotel, I'd really expect better.

GGuest UserPros: The hygiene is excellent. The common areas are right by the Chao Phraya River, and it's fantastic to enjoy a drink while watching the river at night. The staff are very enthusiastic. The bed space is ample, with two power outlets and a small locker with a combination lock. There's also a large storage cabinet in the room that opens with your room card. Cons: The only way to get into the hostel is through a fish market, which has a very strong, fishy smell, though it's bearable. Being close to the river means there are quite a few insects, which is understandable. The toilets don't have air conditioning, so it gets extremely hot when using them. The air conditioning in the rooms is turned off daily from 11 AM to 3 PM, which isn't very friendly for guests who want to rest in bed. Everyone's shoes are piled up on the second floor, and some of them are incredibly smelly, like biohazards. I hope the hotel can improve management and ensure everyone puts their shoes in a shoe cabinet!

BBeishandaxianThis is an older hotel, but it has a great location. The hotel offers a boat shuttle to the pier and metro, making it very convenient to get to Iconsiam with just one transfer. This is my second stay here, and the hotel has been gradually upgrading its facilities over the past couple of years, with noticeable improvements to the room conditions. The breakfast is excellent, and you can enjoy it either outdoors by the river or indoors. There are quite a few European guests. The room I was assigned this time had a nice view looking straight ahead, with a direct view of the river and the Ferris wheel. However, if you looked down, there was a European-style cemetery. I personally don't mind it as it's not part of my cultural beliefs, but if you're bothered by it, I suggest mentioning it to the front desk when you check in.

GGarreth HuntBangkok was the last stop on our trip to Thailand and we booked this hotel as a treat to end our trip given it's 5 star status. We were left very disappointed... The lobby is lovely and is indicative of a high end hotel but that's where it ended unfortunately. The rooms are 3 star at best. We had booked a room with a balcony specifically but the initial room we were given didn't have one. The staff were very helpful and moved us to another room with a balcony, however the balcony was surrounded by fans so we had limited views. We were offered another room on our second day with a better balcony but the room itself was smaller so we opted to stay where we were. From what we could see, none of the balconies are great so I would avoid paying the extra for rooms with them. The pool is cold and in need of some work, the grout is coming away in many areas creating sharp edges in spots. Also not 5 star quality. Breakfast was the nicest setup and offering we had seen in Thailand.

EExpat EDventuresWe had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better. Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

ZZaichuangxintianyaThe location is pretty good, with EM Mall right next door, making dining, shopping, and entertainment incredibly convenient. However, it's a bit of a trek to Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy. While Bangkok has bike-sharing services like Hello Ride, they're not very practical due to the lack of dedicated bike lanes and the requirement to return bikes to fixed locations. The breakfast spread is excellent, and the staff are all very professional and enthusiastic. Although the price was a bit higher during Chinese New Year, it's still a highly recommended hotel offering great value for money in Bangkok's Sukhumvit area.

AAnonymous UserA good location for travellers looking for a quieter neighbourhood compared to the usual sukhumvit experience, but I wouldn’t stay here again. 1. Gets really inaccesible to convenience stores (they do sell limited options of snacks - at a surcharge of course) 2. Engaged their laundry services, almost couldn’t get it back and wanted to bill me an additional fee to get it back in time for me to checkout and catch my flight. Turns out one of my pants was damaged along the way but made no comments about it till I found out. Didn’t pursue this matter as I have to catch a flight, no time to look for resolutions. 3. Was back at the hotel one of the days slightly earlier at 4:30pm, to my dismay the room wasn’t cleaned, the crew only came by at 5:30pm and offered to clean the room but it wasn’t convenient for me (I was half asleep too). Subsequently took a mental note that I can’t be back at the hotel till at least 7pm if I need my room to be cleaned Your experience may vary, but certainly not one of the experience I was thinking I would received.
