2-Star Hotels in Riverdale

We booked a room through hotels.com. Checkin went fine, but the room was disgusting! Blood, dirt and remnants of previous guests dried shampoo was in the bathtub. I rubbed a washcloth over the tub and it all cleaned up, but why didn't the maids do it? Disgusting! The beds had been slept in. The sheets and pillow covers (no pillow cases) were dirty and stained yellow. The blankets were also filthy and stained. I pulled back the sheet on one bed and there was dirt and pieces of grass in the bed. The sheets had not been changed. The maid service just remade the dirty bed. Someone should be fired! I went to the front desk. She offered to move us to a different room. I hesitated (because I really wanted to leave and get a refund) so she said, ”Do you just want clean sheets?” (Hotels.com had stated the room was non-refundable. It's hard to get a refund when you book through a 3rd party.) I took the sheets and pillowcases. We made the beds and you could tell the difference between clean sheets and the previous ones that had been slept in. We should be paid for doing the maids' job! I'm glad we are only here for one night. We will NEVER return. It was over-priced, too. $135/night for this hell hole. There were over 1,000 reviews on hotels.com giving this place 7.1/10.
