Meet The Hoxton, Vienna - a boutique hotel blending bold style and local charm, from the rooftop pool bar to the sleek, modern lobby bistro. And don't miss a Hox first: The Auditorium, our in-house events space.
"One of the worst service experiences I have encountered, and certainly not comparable to the price paid.
First, the receptionist was not friendly. While it is perfectly normal for guests to ask questions, especially during a multi-day stay, there was one receptionist who appeared visibly uncomfortable and impatient when I asked for assistance. This was noticeable through both tone and body language, and it made me hesitant to approach the front desk for further inquiries the following day.
Second, unlike most hotels where housekeeping can be requested simply by placing a cleaning sign on the door, this hotel requires guests to inform the receptionist directly. Unfortunately, this information was never communicated. As a result, despite placing the sign, my room was not cleaned.
Third, I attempted to upgrade to a larger room during my stay, as I had booked for seven nights, but this was not accommodated.
Fourth, when I tried to contact the receptionist via the in-room telephone, it was not functioning.
Fifth, in many hotels, guests are promptly informed if any belongings are left behind, even small items. In this case, no notification was provided at all.
Lastly, the amenities were extremely limited and did not meet the expectations of a hotel in this price range.
But the hotel’s design is quite good and unique, and the location is strategic."
