A pleasant hotel a little already needing works. The bathrooms are already in use. The floor and very old locks. For people with reduced mobility, it becomes very complicated only to have bathrooms. The breakfast is satisfactory. The hygiene tb is present in the rooms and inside the hotel. But walking through the pool patio we found some less careful part behind the breakfast room. But nothing worrying. In general, a pleasant hotel for a weekend.

Hotel with modern lines, friendly and comfortable staff, spacious room with a beautiful view of the pool. A breakfast within the expected but the surprise was kept for the excellent quality of the Chaparro restaurant, which made us broadly happy with the decision made to book with half-pense. Only a reserve for the necessary maintenance, especially on the ceiling of the indoor pool and some details of the room, but that do not change our will to return.

Superb small hotel in the centre of the city. Impecable room furnished with tasty and adorable staff. Prices challengeing any competition. Superb stop to do in this beautiful city. Perfect place to discover the alentejo. I recommend 400%

Hotel moderno e bem localizado no centro de Portalegre, sendo fácil o passeio pela cidade apenas a pé. Quarto moderno, com muita luz e muito espaço. O pequeno-almoço é variado, mas gostaria de ver um pouco mais de cuidado com alguns detalhes, por exemplo, os sumos estavam pouco frescos e alguns alimentos um pouco secos, julgo eu devido ao calor… o colchão é quente e as almofadas são muito baixas e muito quentes também.

The hotel is located in a mountain city and only one gate (Portas de Ródão) can be accessed by car. After entering, please use the downhill passage on the left, and then proceed along the city wall. Please note that there are only 2 parking spaces (coordinates 39.393559, -7.376018) opposite the front desk, this parking space does not need to go up and down stairs for luggage and luggage. However, if the parking is full, you can only park at the other 8 parking spaces (coordinates 39.393512, -7.375692) near the R. do Embique road down the front slope. This parking space needs to go up and down stairs for luggage. Therefore, it is recommended to check in early. If the parking space you are using is not ideal, it does not matter. When checking out, you can put your luggage on the side of the front desk first, then drive the car over to load your luggage, and then leave. Although the road will be blocked during luggage loading, everyone is like this, it does not matter, other vehicles will wait patiently. The mountain city is basically a one-way street, it is best to ask the front desk to leave the route, so as not to go the wrong way. The 24-hour front desk staff are enthusiastic, professional and satisfied. The internal facilities of the room conform to the website introduction and are comfortable. There are no slippers in the room, please bring your own. The view and service of the hotel restaurant are very good. The breakfast is rich and high quality. Dinner is exquisite. There are two lounges, very comfortable, don’t forget to enjoy them. If you live in the building opposite the restaurant, you can go back and forth through the arch bridge, which is of great significance in rainy days. I tried the Casa do Povo restaurant in the city. The local crock-pot lamb (with pictures, easy to order) is very delicious and highly recommended. It is recommended that Marvão exit the Porta Este De Marvão city gate and go down the hill to the ancient Roman road of Portagem via the Convento de Nossa Senhora da Estrela. The trail takes about 2 hours. Most of the trails are shaded. It goes down the road, and the birds and flowers are scented. The front desk provides free trail maps to Portagem under the mountain, recommends local restaurants and provides the phone number of the taxi driver on the return journey. If you can’t get in touch, the Portagem restaurant waiters also have their own familiar taxi drivers (the return journey is about 20 Euros, acceptable), don’t worry. I tried Hotel Sever Rio e Restaurante Sever by the Portagem River. Only the tomato soup is delicious and generous, so I can recommend it.
