Slightly uninspired food (you can have supper here including a Saturday buffet, but there are better restaurants within a short drive. Wine selection very poor). Breakfast buffet typical - good fruit, poor ‘fruit juice’, best bacon I had in half a dozen Azores hotels ... if you want proper coffee rather than instant you have to ask for it. The architectural concept is well thought though, a high degree of privacy is ensured although the six apar**ents are all in one row. Eqipment in the kitchen/living room is excellent, TV is connected to internet including various apps like youtube, Netflix etc. Beds, cleanliness excellent and heating system efficient. The pool could/should be heated to extend its usage beyond the summer days, given the high likelihood of strong winds in the Mosteiros area its otherwise colder than the ocean (in October) - only around 17-18 degrees. Staff is friendly and helpful particularly a young lady and a gentleman, both very fluent in EN. The one thing that really got me started is the breakfast - while the selection is fine and local, there is staff literally hiding in the kitchen to avoid guest contact. If you want sth else than watery coffee you need to explicitly ask, likewise for eggs, which is not offered pro-actively. Same goes for resupplying the buffet and reordering / cleaning things, particularly after the buffet was ******* by some barbarian guests before us.
