The hotel is located in a quiet area, which was lovely after a busy day exploring the city. Plus, with the 'Praterstern' station nearby, you can be back in the heart of the action in no time. I can genuinely recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again."

I expected a wider selection, and the breakfast area was quite busy. The staff there also didn’t feel as friendly or attentive as the reception team. "I highly recommend booking the half-board option. The food was absolutely fantastic and well worth the price. Breakfast and dinner are served at Günter's, located on the hotel's ground floor. Yes, the rooms are a bit dated, but I've definitely stayed in worse. The carpets are dirty, the elevator can sometimes be inadequate, and there are no restrooms in the lobby. The air conditioning worked in three out of four rooms, with one being faulty. There's also not much seating area in the lobby. Other than that, I can easily say it's a good choice. It's a true value-for-money hotel, and the tram stop is right outside."

"The location is absolutely superb! It's close to all the main attractions, which are all within walking distance, and the luxury shopping street is right next door, making shopping incredibly convenient. Plus, there are several historic coffee shops nearby; I managed to visit two this time. It's a shame that Central Cafe is closed for half a year for renovations, so I'll have to save that for next time. Vienna is great, and so is this hotel! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again."

Here’s a detailed one: This is not our first stay at ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof, and both times have been awesome—especially for early arrivals, as they consistently manage to allow early check-in. Location & Access • The hotel sits right in front of Vienna’s main train station (Wien Hauptbahnhof), making arrivals and departures effortless. • The airport connection is straightforward: the station is about 15 minutes from Vienna International Airport by train. • If you’re comfortable exploring on foot, the area is actually quite close to Vienna’s old town, with easy walks or short tram/U-Bahn hops to the Ringstraße sights. Room & Comfort • Rooms are neat and well maintained. • Towels and bed linens look and feel as good as new, adding to the fresh, clean impression. Service & Consistency • Staff are accommodating, particularly with early check-in requests—a big plus for travelers with morning flights or trains. • Given our repeat stays, the consistency in service and room quality stands out. Overall: A dependable, clean base with excellent transport links and friendly service—ideal for short stays or as a start/end point for your Vienna trip"

"The first room had an unpleasant smell in the bathroom, but the staff were very friendly and immediately gave us a new room when we reported it. Breakfast had plenty of choices. I was driving and the Hotel Parking was easy with an underground car park. Also Easy to reach public transports"

"Great location, close to the central station. The room was small but clean. The front desk service was good. What was not so great was that even though check-in time was stated as 2 PM, we were told to come back after 5 PM. Also, during check-in, we were asked to fill out some forms, but no one mentioned it was for a membership registration. I later received an email confirming I had become a member. The room didn't have a mini-fridge. We booked two rooms, and the air conditioning in one of them was broken, blowing hot air on a sweltering day. After talking to them, they moved us to another room and even gave us two drink vouchers. The restaurant downstairs also served decent food."

Being a hotel in the heart of Vienna, the room wasn't exceptionally spacious, but it was perfectly adequate for a sightseeing-focused trip. It was also kept very clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. What particularly stood out was the rooftop. It featured a restaurant, bar, and pool, offering a wonderful experience with views over Vienna. I also had breakfast here, and the open-air setting allowed me to leisurely enjoy my mornings during the trip. The selection of dishes was ample, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were also very kind, and I had no issues from check-in to check-out. Returning to the hotel after a day of walking around Vienna, the calm atmosphere was truly soothing. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy both a convenient location for sightseeing in Vienna and a stylish hotel atmosphere. It's especially perfect for those who want their hotel itself to be a memorable part of their trip, rather than just a place to stay. I enjoyed the Viennese cityscape and had a slightly special stay.
