The hotel is located close to a mall with great variety of food options. It is relatively close to Yu garden and key sights around Shanghai. The hotel provides free shuttle services to certain must go sites in Shanghai.
The stay was comfortable with excellent bedding and the room is very clean. As we requested for completely smoke free room, it was indeed smoke-free. The items in the bar fridge were free for consumption too. The service staff were friendly and approachable, and will always try their best to make it comfortable for all of us.
Highly recommend this hotel for families, couples and even business travellers.

My stay at The Angsana Shanghai on the Bund was absolutely fantastic! The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to The Bund, Yu Garden, and Nanjing Road, offering truly stunning night views. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with high-quality bedding and well-appointed bathrooms. Many rooms also feature fantastic balconies perfect for enjoying the river views. The service was warm and professional, and the food selection was varied and delicious. It offers superb value for money, and I highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Although I had to climb a stairs to reach my room, the staff were extremely helpful. Most importantly, as a solo traveller, I felt very safe walking around since it was right next to the Metro station and a Family Mart. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I visited Shanghai in the future

The location is excellent, just a short walk to Yu Yuan, and the room itself was comfortable, though some areas of the hotel, especially the front of the hotel entrance, feel a bit dated.
Check-in was the main downside. We arrived at 5:30 PM but were told all the rooms weren’t ready, and despite requesting same floor rooms in advance, it took quite awhile to arrange 1 room for us. Even after returning from dinner, 10PM the front desk service felt a bit overwhelmed and inattentive, not sure if this is because of summer school break.
Overall, this hotel works for a short stay if you don’t mind some waiting at check-in. For families with kids or those expecting seamless service, it may not be the best fit but for travelers who prioritize location, it’s still worth considering.

Location very good, right inside Yuyuan Garden.(Very superb night view). Tons of food to choose. Remember The road / access to this hotel will be closed from 9am- 10pm. So you have to walk to the hotel around 100m, but no worry the front desk are very helpful can help you choose the drop off point.
Room is very clean, comfy and they have a smart-room assistant 多多 .Room is not that spacey but quiet modern and the closet seat is warm, very helpful during cold weather. They provide lots of mineral water, just ask from the front desk. Overall i have a wonderful stay with my friends. This hotel have a common space garden at 5th floor.

A budget-friendly hotel right in the center of Shanghai — that’s its biggest advantage. The location is great, although at first you might feel like you’re walking through a rather odd shopping mall to get there. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. The room is quite small but has everything necessary for a short stay. Soundproofing isn’t great, and there was a very unpleasant smell from the bathroom, but that’s about what you’d expect for this price range.

The 2 bedroom apartment was a really good size which fitted us 4 adults well.
The place is clean and well maintained. Front desk staff are helpful and pleasant at all times.
With the Laoximen Metro station Exit 1 right next to hotel, it gave us really great accessibility to all the places by the metro.

Really great hotel. Our experience was marvelous. The room is very spacious and clean, the view is great, the hotel is walking distance to most tourist attractions (Yu Garden, the Bund, East Nanjing Rd), but what sets it apart as the hotel that I want to come back to for my next trip in Shanghai are the staff. From the moment we checked in until when we checked out, the staff were all very warm and welcoming and really made sure we were comfortable and all our needs are attended. Special shout out to the receptionist Hannie who even added us in Wechat and answered our questions regarding where to go to shop, to eat, etc. She really made sure we had a pleasant experience. I'd love to be back soon and stay at this hotel again. ❤️ The picture is the view from our room.

Hotel is pretty clean and tidy with free washer and dryer. Opposite the hotel is a train line to travel anywhere as well. I’m please and satisfied to be serve by 南星 and 空青, they attended our queries and needs as well as our tabao parcel that we sent to the hotel lobby. Nothing much fancy, the hotel has all the basic needs you need for vacation and the location is pretty ideal. My only cons from my fiancee is that the room does not have a full length mirror and that the lobby is at level 6 instead of level 1. So while waiting for cab, there isnt any seats where u can sit and wait. Other than that, the hotel is really fine to stay for short trip vacation.

This hotel possesses respectability and dignity of classical Shanghai. That is why it is very popular among foreign travelers who prevail among the visitors. The hotel is very conveniently located: 10 minutes walk from the Bund and 5 minutes from the metro station Yuyuan Garden. This garden and Old city are unbelievably beautiful places.. We are grateful to a very skilled lady at the reception, who speaks perfect English: our room was upgraded to the executive suite, and we received free beer in the bar. The room is really spacious, containing a bedroom and a small living room. Though there is construction just near the hotel, the sounds are not disturbing at night. The king-sized bed is very comfortable. All the linen and towels are impeccably clean and soft. The room was cleaned daily. We were given 2 bottles of water per person and a free minibar. There is a round bath with a beautiful view. The shower stands nearby.
Breakfast was included in our booking. Oh, it is really a gorgeous breakfast for everybody's liking; European and local dishes, salmon, local varieties of fish, different vegetables and fruit. The time of breakfast is also very convenient for guests: from 7.00 till 10 a.m.
A free laundromat on the 2nd floor is also a great help to guests who spend all day walking in the city. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends!

Замечательный завтрак с 7.00-10.00 на 4 этаже, где есть крытое помещение и терраса с потрясающим видом на Бунд. На выбор предлагаются европейская и местная кухни, красная рыба, курица, утка, много овощей и десертов. Однозначно рекомендуем! Тем более, что работники рецепции говорят на хорошем английском. Основные постояльцы - иностранные туристы. Предложенная услуга бесплатного прачечной комплекса на 2м этаже оказалась очень кстати.

GGuest UserI stayed at Tongren Pavilion B&B in Shanghai. The host was very nice and welcoming. The room photos were just as good as the pictures. The location is very convenient, just three metro stops from the Bund. I originally planned to spend a day there, but ended up staying an extra day and extending my stay for another night. The room had everything I'd expect at home. Staying at his B&B in such a big city like Shanghai felt like home. I'll try my best to buy a place in Shanghai next time. Cheers! I'm already home, thanks to my host for his hospitality! Here are some beautiful photos of the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Bund.

It's very convenient for getting around, being close to both bus stops and the subway. It's also conveniently located near Dafugui Restaurant, which served delicious meals we enjoyed daily during our stay. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

DDavid BryanThe hostel has a potential. The rooms are clean with the right temperature. Location is perfect. It’s near Exit 5 of Dashije or Exit 4 of Yuyuan Garden. The main issue is actually the toilet. The men’s toilet has no ventilation at all. It doesn’t help when people smoke inside. Although not allowed, some locals still smoke. Since all cubicles are western style, those who are used to squating still squat and there’s poop and clogged toilet every now and then! It will be better if the toilet gets cleaned multiple times during the day. Kudos to the cleaning lady. She cleans the whole floor every single day.

GGuest UserThe front desk manager on the 25th, when I checked out, was absolutely wonderful! She perfectly embodied the Rujia brand. I had a late check-out, and after I'd finished the process, it started pouring rain. I really didn't want the bother of going back upstairs, but she very warmly suggested I return to my room to rest for a while. Her kindness and helpfulness were truly exceptional. However, the female receptionist on the 24th, during my check-in, was very unprofessional. When I asked a question, she gave me a very impatient look. I was originally going to leave a negative review, but your front desk manager on the 25th completely turned things around.

Cleaning room not very good but i not attention much because all time outside but bed linen has very clean and comfortable sleep and morning has hear singer birds from outside. Near hotel have a small chinese food restaurant, menu with pictures, so no problem order if dont know chinese language and also there is shops for small using things.
