"The hotel was very crowded, and there was a wait for check-in. However, while waiting, the front desk gave us temporary room cards so we could visit Panmen. The pool was the most crowded spot, with many coaches giving lessons both indoors and outdoors. It was swarming with people, and they splashed water everywhere without regard for others. It was only less crowded around noon and early in the morning. The breakfast was good and served until 10:30 AM. Although there was no announcement before closing, the local specialties were all delicious, and the fruit was very sweet. The only fresh juices available were carrot and cucumber. However, during our stay, there was renovation work on the floor above us, specifically floor drilling during nap time, with no prior communication. The assumption that guests wouldn't be in their rooms was very disappointing. We called the front desk to complain about the noise, and they kept saying they would look into it, but nothing was done. Eventually, my family had to go upstairs themselves to ask the workers to stop. Afterwards, the duty manager came to apologize and asked if the renovation could continue for just another hour... I almost laughed out loud. We paid to stay here, not to listen to construction noise. They finally offered a welcome fruit basket as an apology, which was also quite amusing, as other hotels provide welcome fruit upon check-in, but here you only get it if something goes wrong. Neither during check-in nor check-out were we asked if we had a car, nor were we informed that we needed to scan a QR code for free parking. It was also difficult to reach the front desk by phone, as it often rang for a long time without anyone answering."

"The stay in the Chengxian Hotel was okay. Judging by the photos you expect a very clean and Norderney facility which is only right in part. The room I stayed in was ok cleaned ok, no real dirt but on the photos you see that there was water dripping into my bathroom sink and some dirt on the wall. But overall it was a good place to be with a working AC, fresh water and everything you need, but not a place I would stay if I’m the whole time in the hotel."

"Hotel location is rather convenient after you've found it and gotten familiar with the surrounding. Just about ~ 10mins walk from the subway station. Good to note that the hotel is not in a stand-alone building, few hotels shared the same building such as Ji. The lobby reception is slightly unconventional. Would be great if guests are able to wait at the lobby and see that the cab has arrived at the front instead of being blocked by a hallway due to the infrastructure design. Facilities and amenities were fair. The gym room is surprisingly big and spacious as compared. The staff were helpful and friendly. Appreciate Ella 纪凤 who assisted with check in and wonderful room arrangement. Thanks Wendy who assisted with check out. Room is spacious and clean. It comes with a smart toilet which is a plus point. It would be even better should the glassdoor of the shower and bathroom not semi-transparent and comes with a lock, could be awkward for room sharing with friends or colleagues. There's also Nespresso machine and fridge provided, which is also fair for the room rate. Experience for the short stay been positive this far."

"First off, my child absolutely loved our stay in Xuzhou. They were so sad to leave! The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming, even providing complimentary breakfast and toiletries for my little one. The front desk lady was very kind and gentle. The location is super convenient with the Metro Line 1 station (Xuzhou East) directly accessible, and attractions like Wenmiao Temple, Huilongwo, Fuguo Street, and Hubu Mountain are all within walking distance. The underground area connects to Suning Plaza, making shopping and dining a breeze. Golden Eagle and Wenmiao Street are right next door, and there are many small bars and snack stalls around in the evening – perfect for a stroll. Definitely a big recommendation! We stayed on the 55th floor, which my child adored. The room itself was pretty standard but clean, tidy, and well-equipped. Given the quality of the hotel and the service from the staff, it absolutely deserves a five-star rating. The breakfast was also absolutely fantastic with plenty of seating. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Xuzhou!"

The environment, location, and exclusive experiences are all top-notch. Even without entering the Slender West Lake scenic area, staying here allows you to enjoy a private part of the lake's scenery. It offers both great value for money and a relaxing atmosphere. **I. Irreplaceable Location Advantage** The hotel is separated from Slender West Lake by a body of water and features an exclusive express通道 for guests. You don't have to queue at the main scenic area entrance; you can walk directly to the core area by the lake. Building No. 1, Shoufanyuan, where we stayed, is the closest building to Slender West Lake in the entire hotel. From the room window, you can see a small patch of lake view with weeping willows, enjoying the scenery of Slender West Lake without even leaving your room. Additionally, Building No. 1 is only a 2-minute walk from the Black Pearl-rated Qüyuan Teahouse, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy authentic Yangzhou morning tea without a long trek through the park. **II. Exclusive Features and Immersive Ambiance** 1. **Commemorative Souvenirs:** You can get exclusive hotel postcards at the front desk, and there are several spots within the garden where you can stamp them as a souvenir. You can also get a custom room key card, which makes for a meaningful travel keepsake. 2. **Explore the Expansive Gardens:** The entire guesthouse is filled with pavilions, waterside terraces, rockeries, and long corridors, with lush greenery everywhere. Every step offers a new view, and you won't get tired even after strolling for half a day. The internal scenery is as exquisite as that of paid gardens. If you get tired of walking in the vast park, you can call for a free shuttle at any time. 3. **Weekend Intangible Cultural Heritage Performances:** On weekends, there are intangible cultural heritage mini-theaters, where you can watch Yangzhou's intangible cultural heritage puppet shows and folk music performances without having to leave the hotel. **III. Living Experience in Building No. 1 (Pros and Cons of the 'Old Cadre Style' Building)** **Pros:** 1. **Rich Historical Heritage:** In its early years, it was exclusively used for official government receptions, showcasing a classic 'old cadre' Chinese style. The solid wood furniture and sophisticated aesthetic are timeless and enduring, looking far from cheap. 2. **Waterside Location:** Surrounded by lush vegetation, the building offers maximum privacy and tranquility, with almost no noise from crowds. 3. **Well-Maintained Rooms:** Although it's an older building, the overall condition isn't outdated. The space is generous, and the bedding and soft furnishings are meticulously maintained. **Sole Drawback:** The bathroom hardware has a noticeable drawback: the shower pressure is low, and the water flow is weak, making for a mediocre experience when washing hair or showering. **IV. Overall Summary** There's a good reason why Yingbinguan consistently receives rave reviews: it boasts private views of Slender West Lake, its own Black Pearl-rated morning tea, vast garden grounds, unique commemorative souvenirs, and a full range of leisure activities. If you prefer a tranquil, retro atmosphere and want to experience the quality of a traditional state guesthouse, Building No. 1 is an excellent choice. The only thing you'll need to adapt to is the low shower pressure. If you're looking for brand-new modern facilities, consider buildings No. 8 or No. 18. For our trip, having already visited Slender West Lake, staying here meant we didn't need to re-enter the scenic area. We could enjoy a comparable lake and garden experience right within the hotel, perfectly meeting our need for a relaxed vacation."

"I revisited the Nantong Sandy Hotel with high expectations for a second stay, but this time my experience was significantly worse. Many of the amenities and services have been cut back. Regarding transportation, the shuttle service within the park, which used to allow guests to board at any point, now only stops at a few designated locations. This makes getting to and from the activity areas very inconvenient. As for included activities, the miniature train ride and animal feeding experiences, which were previously complimentary, have been canceled. Now, to explore the park, you either have to rent a car at your own expense or drive yourself, which implicitly increases the cost of the visit. The experience at the Ice and Snow World was even worse. The snow inside was dirty and discolored, and basic protective shoe covers are no longer provided for free. Staff informed me that I either had to purchase disposable plastic shoe covers for 45 RMB or let my shoes get wet from the snowmelt. On my first visit, shoe covers were provided free of charge; this now feels like a disguised form of forced consumption. Overall, the hotel and park management seems increasingly perfunctory, and the quality of service is declining year after year. It's completely inconsistent with the high room rates, and I'm very disappointed."

"This hotel was super convenient for catching Super League matches. I could even see the 'Southern Bird's Nest' stadium right from my room, and it was absolutely stunning when lit up at night. The hotel service and environment were also excellent. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Nantong."
