Little Bear 29Room was exactly as described and with Cooktop, microwave, and fridge did not need take out all the time. Staff at front desk were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. May not be the flashiest hotel but it is great value for money and in a great location with a tram stop right outside the front doors, would recommend this hotel.

PARAS RABRAWarm welcome by receptionist. Awesome service. Quality and service at par excellence. Very much near to train stations.
The Best Western was perfectly fine for my one-night business trip to Melbourne—clean enough and very well-located. My only real complaint is that basic amenities were missing; there was no toothpaste or bottled water in the room. It didn't ruin my stay, but adding these simple comforts would go a long way for short-stay guests.

Anonymous UserHad a great stay in Melbourne! The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from Southern Cross Station, making it very convenient for airport transfers, day trips, and public transport.
Being within the Free Tram Zone was a huge bonus, allowing us to explore Melbourne CBD easily without additional transport costs. There were plenty of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and attractions nearby, all within walking distance.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it’s a great choice for travelers looking for convenience, accessibility, and value for money in Melbourne. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Anonymous UserExceptional Location and Great Value in the Heart of Melbourne
If you are looking for an affordable yet exceptionally well-located place to stay in the heart of the city, The Victoria Hotel in Melbourne is a fantastic choice. Situated on Little Collins Street, this historic hotel offers unbeatable convenience for both leisure and business travelers. The moment you step outside the lobby, you are instantly surrounded by Melbourne's vibrant laneway culture, iconic cafes, bustling boutique shops, and major public transport links, including the famous Flinders Street Station.
The hotel itself perfectly blends heritage charm with modern practicality. While the building is historic, the interior is well-maintained, cozy, and comfortable. My room was compact but spotlessly clean, featuring all the essential amenities needed for a relaxing stay. It included a very comfortable bed, a tidy en-suite bathroom, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi that worked flawlessly throughout my visit. Though some of the hallway decor feels slightly dated, it genuinely adds to the classic, old-world character of the property rather than detracting from the overall guest experience.
One of the standout features of The Victoria Hotel is its excellent guest facilities. After a long day of exploring the city's sights, having access to an indoor heated rooftop pool, a spa, and a fitness center was an unexpected and delightful bonus for a budget-friendly hotel. Furthermore, the on-site restaurant and bar, Mister Munro, provides a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with a great selection of delicious food and beverages.
The hotel staff also deserve a very special mention. From a smooth, welcoming check-in process to providing helpful local sightseeing tips, the customer service was consistently polite, efficient, and highly professional.
Overall, The Victoria Hotel offers outstanding value for money. It provides a comfortable, safe, and incredibly convenient base for anyone wanting to experience the best of Melbourne without breaking the bank. I highly recommend this wonderful accommodation and would gladly stay here again

Beautiful souls 🤍
I recently stayed at Quality Hotel Melbourne Airport and wanted to share my experience for anyone travelling in or out of Melbourne. We have stayed here a number of times, the first time was because we had flight delays and didn't want to head home to return the following day. It made sense and ever since then we have used it as our little night before we go on the next adventure stop over. So if you are like me, and you’re looking for something close, easy, and stress-free before a flight… this place really delivers. The location is incredibly convenient, just minutes from the airport, and the shuttle service makes everything feel seamless especially when you’re travelling early morning or arriving late. That alone takes so much pressure off. And if you are like me and need to have a change of suit case for clothing it makes a great base between flights and countries.
The rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable. Not overly luxurious, but they have everything you need for a short stay. It feels more like a practical stopover than a holiday destination and that’s exactly what it’s meant to be.
What I appreciated most was the ease of everything…
No overwhelm, no complications — just a place to land, reset, and move on with your journey. If I had to describe it energetically… it feels like a “pause point” between destinations.
A couple of things to note:
It’s more of a classic, older-style hotel, not modern luxury but its a great base and we leave our car there for convince. Dining options can be limited depending on timing, but we ate next door a Sheesh and plan to go there again. You may hear a little airport noise (as expected) But overall, for value, convenience, and simplicity, it does exactly what it promises. We will definitely stay again when I need a smooth airport stopover, like in September with a group of travelers heading on.a cruise. The place suits business, family, couples, solo and groups.

We stayed for one night and found the self-check-in and check-out process very easy and convenient. It was also great to have a dedicated parking space for each car.
The interior was a bit loud, with a ”school trip” or ”auntie style” vibe, but everything was functional. We really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the heating mats in the bed, which were a nice touch for the colder weather. Overall, it was a good, practical stay.

SRuss83I stayed in Box Hill motel between 3rd of Nov'23 - 5th of Nov'23. My husband and I arrived at Box Hill motel around 12-1pm. We were so exhausted as we took turn driving from Sydney - Melbourne. We drove from Sydney past midnight. Upon calling if we would be let in early, surprisingly it is allowed. Otherwise we would have slept in the car until check-in time if the room isn't ready yet. We got room no.1 and it was very clean. I didn't use the towel as I prefer to use my own towel, my husband also use his own towel.
One of the hanging towel though had a snot on it and I put that towel aside despite we didn't use it. There were 3x plates in total and one of the plate was dirty and I assumed previous guest must have used this 1 plate and didn't wash it but instead just slipped it in between the clean plate. We used 2x plates for ourselves but I washed the 3x plates myself.
Great Wifi speed too as I was able to complete a little bit of work from Room no.1.
My parents always taught me to appreciate and respect people's places. Upon checking out, I saw Carol and OMG, she is so kind, friendly, down to earth and helpful. She was busy rolling people's luggage to their room. I remember my father always taught me the great businessman is not the one who always wanted to be served but the one who knew how to serve others first. There's a saying about ”servant leadership”. A great leader know how it feels to be at the bottom to observe, learn and serving others as well as better appreciate the top and experience various roles to understand the duties and responsibilities of each roles.
THANK YOU Box hill motel team and Carol too for allowing us to stay at your beautiful clean and tidy place. We were able to sleep very soundly, hope nobody can hear us snoring :)
I highly recommend Box Hill motel, Melbourne to anyone on a trip to Melbourne.

Guest UserThe facilities are well-equipped. The front desk staff are very friendly, especially Niki. The first time I stayed in a 6-bed dorm, she saw I was only staying one night and upgraded me to a 4-bed dorm. This second time, she even let me store my luggage for free the next day. I'll definitely be back!
