MMark FUNGBeing in the desert, yet feeling at home! Thumbs up!
Thanks to the recommendation from previous guests who stayed at this desert tent camp, I chose to stay and enjoyed a pleasant three-day, two-night experience of modern desert living.
First and foremost, the service deserves high praise. The two male and female (Xin Yue) managers at the tent camp were extremely warm and polite. They kept in touch via WeChat within the camp, frequently reminded guests of safety precautions morning and evening, arranged transportation, and even booked BBQs in the evenings! Everything was done efficiently and effectively. Another commendable aspect is the group of jeep drivers who helped with luggage, provided transportation to and from meals, and were all very polite and friendly.
The tents were very large and simply furnished, with air conditioning and complete, clean, and hygienic shower facilities. Sandboarding was available next to the tent camp. Walking on the sand, listening to the sound of the sand, watching the dunes, and gazing at the bright starry night sky were all wonderful experiences.
At night, I sometimes heard the wind or conversations from other guests. Because it was a tent camp, soundproofing wasn't a major concern.
There are restaurants and food stalls near the campsite, including BBQ options. If the restaurants close at 6:30 PM, you can ask the manager to arrange shuttle service to and from restaurants near the Yilisha Service Center.
A package ticket to Xiangshawan (a desert Disneyland) is required for staying at the tent campsite. I chose the Yuesha Island package, which includes access to the water park, swimming pool, mini-train ride, and camel riding.
Among the various accommodation options in Xiangshawan, this tent campsite offered excellent value for money in all aspects. It's highly recommended and praiseworthy, allowing you to experience life in the desert day and night.
