3-Star Hotels in Shiga Prefecture, Japan

We didn't know that this is a love hotel and only realised it the day before checking in, as the check in is only from 6pm. The room is very spacious and we didn't mind the ****, condoms and lots of beauty products it came with. :D However, I didn't know that hotel rooms in Japan can allow smoking, so the strong cigarette smell in the room was very off putting. We put up a 'do not disturb' sign because we don't need cleaning daily. The second day I noticed some of the **** from the hotel were gone in our room but the room wasn't made (bed wasn't made, trash not emptied). I asked the staff and they said they removed it because they thought it bothered us. This was a bit weird to me, I'm not sure where they got the idea from and I don't know why they entered the room. It's also important to note that the train only runs once per hour most of the day (during some hours twice).

It was a really nice hotel. The hand soap had a nice scent. I was happy with the free water, tea and Ritz service. The journey from the front desk to the room was also very enjoyable. I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again.

When I went there in March, there were a lot of flying insects flying around and landing on the food.

It was a container hotel, but it was clean and spacious enough. It was good to have light meals. It was good that there was Lawson next to it and a convenience store next to it. However, it was hard to have no taxi and no transportation to restaurants.

The room was clean. To be honest, I wish it was a little bigger. The toilet and bathroom were smaller than other hotels. It was good that there was a shared bathroom downstairs. Security was also good. The women at the front desk worked hard. It's a new hotel, so it has a bright image.

We stayed two nights in the hotel with breakfast and dinner. The web page of Trip.com showed that there was onsen in the hotel but when we check in, we were told that it was a ”mistake”. There is no onsen and the photo is a public onsen half an hours away. It was very disappoining that the Trip.com include photos irrelevant to the hotel. Dinner was also diffferent from the web photo. We have to pay 2500 yen each to upgrade the dinner to shsbu shabu. Breakfast is Japanese style with limited choice. Other than these, we had lake view room and shopping mall is nearby which are the advantages.

This hotel was recommended by my Japanese friend in Shiga. It has a great location and can be seen from Omihachiman Station. The key is the sunrise in the morning 🌅 It is extremely beautiful! I will choose this hotel next time~

Hotel location is general, although not very convenient, but the natural scenery nearby is pleasant, suitable for guests seeking relaxation. The environment is very clean, the room and facilities are well maintained, making me feel comfortable and assured. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff made me feel at home during my stay. Amenities are perfect, bath design is great, let people fully relax and enjoy the hot springs.
