Wyndham Garden Shahzan Fraser's Hill

It was a totally different welcoming setup as compared to the Shahzan we used to frequent whenever we are in Fraser Hill. The rooms were very noticeably improved in terms of floor, bathroom and fittings. The restaurant, Puteri Teja Cafe, was also positively relayed out with a corner allocated for kids playground. The restroom next to the restaurant was also remarkably improved and sparkling clean. Overall, our stay here was a super sweet and we would definitely make another trip in future.

I would say that the check in process is tedious. We have two rooms, and they mentioned that if we book 2 Quad rooms. Its hard for people who have leg issue due to the platform beds. - toilet cleanliness could be better -water provided - quite good tv channel provided. -view is spectacular - 2 fans in the room (one is a rotating fan on top, and the other is hanging on the wall) - 2 queen bed can sleep 4 people comfortably. - request for connecting room can only be made upon check in. - they dont really entertain if u request it earlier. -toilet floor slippery. Families with young kids or elderly. Please bring anti slip mat as the hotel doesn't provide. - customer service staff at the reception during check in, service could be better, somehow potray as rude. The image below is the view of my room. Walking distance to skyworld outdoor theme park. Definitely u need to walk abit more to get to the mall. Not sure if other hotel is more convenient. But for parents with 2 young kids 7 and 3 i would say it's a distance for the kids. But they enjoyed it.

My family had a nice stay at TDR. It lived up to our expectations and MORE. I am writing because I would like to commend the resort for their help in locating my missing backpack (left at the ferry jetty). When we realised we were missing an important bag (dont ask how, things happen i guess) we called the resort and asked the help from the staff to check if we did leave our bag at the jetty which was a 10 minutes-walk away from the resort. They immediately went to check but the bag was not there. It seemed that TDR didn’t just leave the matter at that, and I dont know how they managed it, but 6.5 hrs later they called to inform me that the bag was on another ferry on its way to a different jetty 30 minutes away from us on the mainland. Kudos to the Bluewater ferry service for picking up the abandoned bag and sent it to their office albeit at a different nearby location. Again, I dont know how but i am so glad that TDR was able to get that information and relayed it back to us. After more than 8 hours of despair, with God’s will, we got back our bag with the help of the staff of the resort, the staff of the Bluewater ferry service and possibly the networking within the small island. Thank you so much for the help TDR. Thank you for making this a really memorable trip with a happy ending.

The suite was good and spacious. It has balcony and the facility around that area is quite good. The view also nice. There is a few cafe to choose from, and retail outlet like The News and KK Mart outlet. There are basic room item provided such as iron and iron board, slippers, toothbrush, soap & Shampoo, kettle, coffee & tea, mugs, TV, safety box and hair dryer, but there is no mineral/drinking water, small fridge or microwave provided. However the check in is quite tricky as you may find the person arranging check in staying in the alley nearby The News outlet, there is no proper reception counter available. The customer service will not answer your call. They only reply via what's app so do not bother to call, you may get scolded by the lady who answered. This can be said as not a hotel service, so do not expect that kind of services from this provider. It is more like AirBnB style. However it was a nice stay just during the night i don't know why there is strange shouting and yelling and disturbing sound once in a while came out from nowhere. so it's quite disturbing my sleep a few time wake up in a shock hearing something unwelcoming sound. But if your ear is sound proof while sleeping i think it will not becoming a problem to you.

KUANTAN IMPERIUM SEAVIEW BY AVANZEE

The past few days in Kuantan, we stayed at Kuantan Imperium Seaview by AVANZEE and honestly, we loved the experience. Check-in was smooth, fast and hassle-free. The security guards and staff stationed near the mail room were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating, making the entire process feel easy and comfortable right from the beginning. Our unit was located on the 7th floor. The room was clean, spacious and beautifully designed with a modern aesthetic feel. It felt like a cozy studio apartment equipped with a simple kitchenette complete with microwave oven, water filter, kettle, refrigerator and kitchen utensils. Hairdryer and iron were also thoughtfully prepared inside the built-in wall cupboard, giving the room a sleek and minimalist appearance. The TV came with Netflix and YouTube, though we barely had time to use them because Kuantan itself has so much to explore. Internet speed was decent too, which is important especially for travellers, foreigners or content creators who need reliable connectivity. The bathroom was modern, clean and well-maintained. Shampoo and bath gel were provided as well. One thing we really appreciated was the sleeping arrangement. Besides the main bed, there were also two very comfortable sofa beds. A family of four can easily stay here comfortably, or even more if travelling with young children. Extra pillows and blankets were also prepared in the cupboard. Location wise, it’s almost perfect. The property is peacefully located slightly away from the busy city centre, yet still close enough for convenience — just across a short bridge. This balance makes it feel like a relaxing seaside escape without being too isolated. The seaside is located directly beside the property and is only a short walk from the carpark. Every morning, we could see locals collecting clams along the shore. Their buckets were filled with white clams and edible sea snails, which was honestly quite fascinating to watch. The facilities here are excellent too. There’s a beautiful swimming pool, wet and dry playgrounds for children, barbecue area and plenty of family-friendly amenities, making it an ideal destination for a family getaway or staycation. But perhaps the highlight for us was the breathtaking view from the room. Being on the East Coast of Malaysia, we were treated to stunning sunrises every morning as the sunlight reflected beautifully across the crystal-clear sea water. Sunset views can also be enjoyed from the opposite side in the evening. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return again — hopefully next time together with the kids and our parents.

I checked in on 17 May 2026, and overall, the stay was disappointing. The room condition was poor and clearly needs serious refurbishment. The mattress appeared dirty, and several parts of the room looked old, worn out, and not properly maintained. The overall hotel lobby and atmosphere also felt run down and did not give a welcoming impression. Service was also below expectation. The receptionist staff were not welcoming, and there was no bellboy available or on standby during check-in. There was also confusion regarding the high tea service. A female staff member at the hostess station in the main restaurant informed us that the high tea set was available, the restaurant serving high tea closes at 6 pm, and walk-ins were acceptable. However, when we came back later at around 5 pm, a male staff member told us the restaurant was already closed and that booking was required for the high tea set. This was frustrating due to the inconsistent information given by the staff. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing. The bread rolls were hard, the puff pastry tasted like an imitation and was unpleasant, and overall the food was mediocre. Based on the room condition, service, facilities, and food quality, the hotel did not meet expectations and is in serious need of improvement.

Absolutely horrid check in and check out process, the counter is at an entirely different hotel which makes no sense at all. You have to climb up and down a hill for checking in and out OR take a taxi. They could at least offer a buggy or something. The walls are paper thin, the corridor has a persistent bad smell with any minor noise exacerbated by the echoes, and the geniuses invented see through blinds where anyone in the corridor can see into your apartment. The toilet smelled terrible, and the TV is not even smart..

I booked the Royal suite but what I get like economy suite. No toiletries except hair shampoo and shower liquid. Slipper, oral care, face towel only sent upon request. Tissue box was empty. Asked soap bar for hand wash, the staff told me not provided. After I complaint the staff sent me a bottle of hand wash which like Belong to someone. My room has pool but only provide 2 bath towels. When request, can give another 2 only. Means I can enter my pool 1x only. If enter more no towel to use. Charge high price but provide below basic services . The reception counter is on top and get wet when raining. Only 1 person on duty, if this person go to toilet. Have to wait for her to come back. Breakfast very basic, less protein, no chicken nor fried or scrambled egg … just hard boiled egg cut into half for Nasi Lemak. Only 1 word: kedekut operator and lack of hospitality skills.

Breakfast was so good, because its Raya Haji they served rendang ayam and lemang. Super delicious! We hang out at the cafe, the food was delicious.
