Surprisingly Great Stay! Unique and Comfortable
I really enjoyed my stay at the Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The atmosphere is unique and definitely something you don’t experience at a regular hotel — in a good way!
The staff were friendly, the place felt safe, and the location was convenient for getting around Ottawa. Overall, it was a great stay and I would happily come back again.

I was more disappointed than I expected. There's no separation for men and women; it's all one space divided into small cubicles with beds. Even the doors are just curtains, so there's a lack of security. And of course, it's not soundproof. If this is what a capsule hotel is like, I'd rather go to a hostel.
This hotel was a little out of the way, but with the free shuttle to the airport, it was easy to get downtown using the UP train. The restaurant on the premises is pretty good and has good drinks. This hotel is quiet and not the most expensive which was exactly what we were looking for. If you’re looking for a cheaper hotel next to the airport this one is perfect!
The most cost-effective hotel near the airport, very satisfied, the breakfast was also very good, I will not consider staying in other hotels near the airport in the future.
The new hostel has improved quite a bit since I last worked and stayed there .I'm telling u it went from a dive to a high end hostel .everything is new.the owner has an established chain of hostels in Asia HK . Upon entering the new hostel I was greeted by trilingual staff. No deposit for the key fob like the old days
This hostel has solid frame beds . Though a bit further than the Clarence park . This hostel is the Porsche of hostels .great thoughts went into ie hair dryers and a 24/7 hoteater supply . Excellent shower and decks to rest ur tired legs .the area is less crazy then the main hostels .but there r two supermkts near y and a dollar rama and liquor store . Starbucks is housed with metro .but across the street from the Royal Bank is the freshco .
I will be frequenting this hostel between air BB's. Thank-you P and staff for the new open tour .
One little bar of soap and very small for shower and washing hands one wash of shampoo . Asked for help with pur bags the guy lifted suitcase then went onhis pbo e Ihad toask him again to help us. There was a big Crack in the door opening I asked for tape he never returned could care at all my con wen for bugs, fly, bees.
It is a two star hotel but has the comfort of a 4 star hotel. Not much to say, we had a two-night stay and it was a really great and hassle-free two days. The heated pool area and heated pool water were great. Thanks to the staff and the owner. The location is great, everything is perfect. Sheets, duvets, towels are incredibly clean. You can get coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day. It's a great example of a team that loves its job from top to bottom.

My friend and I were passing through and needed something at the last minute. We were so happy to find this deal. We each got our own space and own beds. The place was very clean and quiet, and it was neat to be near a forested area.
There's no TV or microwave, but there is a full-size fridge, full bathroom, AC.
We came for one night to shop Costco Windsor and then head back to the US. Location was convenient, hotel was quiet, Not many people were checked in the night we were there. Check in was fast and convenient. The only downside was there was no elevator so we had to walk upstairs to our room with all of our luggage. When we got there, the room was adequate and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was pretty basic. We had toast with peanut butter and jelly, always a safe option. The best part of this hotel is that it is located immediately next door to Tim Hortons. Price was good and I totally would stay here again when I need to come back to shop Costco again.

GGuest UserOne night stay during a road trip. Compared to the other hotels we stayed in during our trip, this one is a little less well laid out and simpler and the room smaller, at a more expensive cost than the others. Despite everything, we spent a good night there.
GGuest UserI saw the address and door of the apartment, but I actually got the key from the supermarket. The apartment is relatively new, with three rooms, two bathrooms and three beds. The decoration, furniture and appliances are all new, suitable for families.
LLele61The hotel seems old and cramped. The room is not spacious and the facilities are average, just enough to stay in. The air conditioner is quite noisy and there are only two towels in the bathroom.
GGuest UserWhat they say about first impressions rings true here. Our room was on the second floor in a corner, and to get there, we had to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke from the many people smoking outside their rooms. And right by our door, there was a bucket of still smoldering cigarette butts.
The room was okay, but not the cleanest. There were a lot of assorted hairs on the bathroom floor, and the ceiling fan had not been cleaned for years. The only window in the room had also not been cleaned in a very long time. And it was seriously lacking in amenities. There was no coffee maker, but we did manage to borrow a kettle from the front desk. The television had no channels and only had streaming services. Luckily, some previous customer left themselves logged in to Apple TV. Wayne, if you are reading this, thanks! And the breakfast were very basic - frozen waffles or toast.
Next time we are in Niagara Falls area, we will definitely be looking elsewhere.
GGuest UserThe food was good as well as the location of the motel. Not sure though if bed bugs was causing my back to itch. But overall, it was a good stay
GGuest UserAlthough the breakfast was small, it had the usual foods and fruit, and I finished off with a coffee, which filled me up!
They had shampoo and conditioner, but I don't think they had toothbrushes!
GGuest UserIn our opinion, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Belleville, Ontario should be the benchmark for all such hotels. My husband and I have been traveling from Indiana to Quebec for some years, and this hotel provided our best experience _ever_ for our overnight stay on our trip, going up or coming back. The desk clerk, a very helpful young woman named Raymon M., was exceedingly kind and personable as well as professional. We called when we found ourselves downtown with no hotel in sight, and Ray quickly diagnosed the problem and gave us the solution (we'd left out part of the address in the GPS), then watched for us to arrive, and made us feel welcome when we did. The room rate was quite reasonable, and they were able to give us a ground floor room, as requested. The hotel was very clean and clearly well cared for, in our room as well as in the public areas. The breakfast options were fresh and ample, including fresh fruit as well as cereal (for me), a waffle iron (which my husband loved) and sausages that looked (and apparently tasted) like good quality sausages. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel wasn't just one of a cluster of such hotels near the 401, and that there were ample resources nearby for food, though we arrived in the late evening. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Belleville has become our go-to for our future driving trips up to Quebec. In fact, I wish I could clone it and set the clones down wherever we need to stop overnight! It is SO good. ~ Rebecca & James Longster (Stay: Dec 20-21, 2024)
GGuest UserOverall, this was a nice little place to stay. You can tell it's an older facility, but seems to be fairly well maintained. Pretty clean overall, though the floors were a bit sticky. The setup of our rooms was nice as well. I'd probably stay again if I were ever in the area.
