2-Star Hotels in Ontario, Canada

The facilities is old and worn out, i.e flooring, walls and lighting; it needs serious renovation. For the price, it's a ripped off. The location is very convenient, at the same time is noisy.

This is like a oasis in a desert of sand or the hookies. Checked in at 11pm still found it very peaceful and quite place. Felt welcome and had a good nights sleep.. all the area is surrounded by ******* people walking on the streets.

Room was as expected... Included breakfast very good Friday!! Scrambled eggs hot and well cooked, potato cubes well cooked and tasty Breakfast Saturday okay, but not as good as Friday, cheese omelet..cool and uninspiring, potato wedges not completely cooked, coffee both days very good

I generally liked my stay, but there were a couple of things that could use some improvement. The bathroom amenities were a bit lacking instead of the small individual toiletries, it would be great to have full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Even a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner would be a nice touch. Additionally, the fan in the room wasn't working properly, so maybe that could be fixed, I felt pretty hot when the fan didn't work properly when I was taking shower. Other than those issues, everything else was fine. Free breakfast are good.

The food was good as well as the location of the motel. Not sure though if bed bugs was causing my back to itch. But overall, it was a good stay

In our opinion, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Belleville, Ontario should be the benchmark for all such hotels. My husband and I have been traveling from Indiana to Quebec for some years, and this hotel provided our best experience _ever_ for our overnight stay on our trip, going up or coming back. The desk clerk, a very helpful young woman named Raymon M., was exceedingly kind and personable as well as professional. We called when we found ourselves downtown with no hotel in sight, and Ray quickly diagnosed the problem and gave us the solution (we'd left out part of the address in the GPS), then watched for us to arrive, and made us feel welcome when we did. The room rate was quite reasonable, and they were able to give us a ground floor room, as requested. The hotel was very clean and clearly well cared for, in our room as well as in the public areas. The breakfast options were fresh and ample, including fresh fruit as well as cereal (for me), a waffle iron (which my husband loved) and sausages that looked (and apparently tasted) like good quality sausages. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel wasn't just one of a cluster of such hotels near the 401, and that there were ample resources nearby for food, though we arrived in the late evening. Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Belleville has become our go-to for our future driving trips up to Quebec. It was perfect the way I wanted. Additional Air Shuttle Bus as Free Service in every 30 minits was so impressive one.

Overall, this was a nice little place to stay. You can tell it's an older facility, but seems to be fairly well maintained. Pretty clean overall, though the floors were a bit sticky. The setup of our rooms was nice as well. I'd probably stay again if I were ever in the area.

Overall a great experience and very well located hotel. Many people from Ottawa don’t even know it exists but it is located right between Parliament Hill, Byward Market, the Rideau Canal and the University of Ottawa, all within reasonable walking distance. The room was nearly organised and clean, they provide fresh bed sheets, a towel, and a locker for each person in the room for the dorms. The bathrooms have body wash. The services are great too as they hold your luggage and offer different activities to do. A big highlight was the free jail tour in the mornings where they provide insights on what the building was like during its run. My friends from Ottawa came with me and found it interesting too as a local. If you do not have time for that, each floor has informative banners that explain similar historical background. Furthermore, they had laminated sheets in the lobby with recommendations for places to go beyond the regular tourist staples and great places to eat. I went with one of their restaurant recommendations and it was delicious! Note that I do not think it is accessible since it is a building that has to be preserved in its original state, there is no elevator, but each floor is only around half a flight of stairs. Sound also travels a lot in the hostel because of the jail’s design, but they provide ear plugs at the front desk. The breakfast was also great :)
