This place is a perfect place for those who want to stay close to the big beaches, but not on the big beach itself^^ The area is super quiet and the beach is a little bit deserted, but it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the central beach with all all the facilities. The owners met us with the drip coffee bags with a password, we didn’t really see them all this time, which is perfect for introverts too 🙌 We especially enjoyed our breakfasts outside at the terrace, and the food was exceptional, thank you so much for preparing those kimpabs and hot sandwiches 💛 They also had towels and you could use as many as you wanted (one towel per day I guess?) The only thing that was disappointing was the absence of the elevator (we had to carry our suitcases to the 4th floor), but it was the only inconvenience, so it did not really ruin the whole experience!! 🙌🥹👌 There weren’t that many people living on our floor, so it was not that noisy (maybe take some earplugs for the night tho?)
Location
The hotel is located near Gyeongpo and Gangmun Beach. Buses 202 and 202-1 run between Gangneung Station and Jungang Market (they run infrequently, so please check schedules in advance).
Seeteabus can also be used to reach Anmok Cafe Street and the BTS bus station. A stroll along the lake to the Arte Museum and Heo Gyun Memorial Park is also a great option.
Facilities
The room was clean and well-equipped, with fresh water and towels provided daily. The Wi-Fi password is located on the router.
Services
If you arrive early, you can leave your luggage at the front desk.
It's a little far from Namchunchun Station, but it's along the road so it's easy to find. (The photo shows the exterior from the back.) I entered from the back, so I got a little lost to the reception desk lol. It's right there if you enter from the front. When I checked in, the reservation confirmation didn't go smoothly, so I was a little worried that maybe the reservation hadn't been made!? But the staff member helped me out by asking me to wait a moment, and I was able to stay there without any problems. The room was spacious and comfortable. I would use it again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much.
Good value for money and tidy 2 days rest well. I use 2 coffee capsules, water purifiers, dryers, etc. in the room. Sokcho Central Market is not far away, so it is good to walk and the food and sights are very satisfying. However, the jade restaurants seem to be not good.
The picture is Dongmyeong Port Coffee Shop View ^^
It's about 100 meters away from the beach, so there's no firecrackers and it's quiet. The facilities and cleanliness are very good. Best in terms of value for money
Pros
1. Location (in front of sea nose)
2. Bathtub water pressure is good and warm water is the best
3. Cleanliness
Cons:
1. Room is smaller than I thought
2. There is no breakfast at over 250,000 per night during peak season
I'm going to have a cafe on the ground floor, and I'm going to have a cup of coffee.
No discount coupons.
3. Amenity is the worst ... ㅎㅎ
4. There's no one that's empty and empty.
The price is low, but everything is offset because it is in front of the sea
I'm a doctor back.
Great location, the beach is within walking distance. On the ground floor at the reception there is a table for eating, a cooler with hot and cold water, a microwave. The room is light, cozy and has a beautiful view from the window. There are all the necessary accessories for personal hygiene, towels, a hair dryer, a refrigerator, a table. At the entrance to the hotel there is a washing machine, which you can use at any time (the reception will tell you how to use it).
The hotel itself is very quiet and comfortable, clean and tidy, smoking is prohibited. Near the entrance to the hotel there are tables and benches for rest.
Near the hotel there are a large number of shops and cafes. I would especially like to note the cafe with a pleasant atmosphere and delicious food, where you will be gladly greeted by a married couple of respectable age. Their restaurant is located near the lake and the police station. From the Italian restaurant Toms Bistro on the right side through 2 cafes (photo with the name below).
This is a good place to stay if you come to visit the Raksansa Temple or to swim. The hotel is three years old, so facilities are fairly new. It has a cafe downstairs, waterfront seafood restaurants and convenience stores all within walking distance. It has a gym and washing machines and dryers (5000W per cycle for each) at level 2. staffs are friendly - they speak English, one of them Mr Chui speaks Chinese - If I come back to Yangyang, I would consider booking here again.

Amazing
JJackiewmThis is a super good experience, the homestay environment is very beautiful, there is a cute clean small pool. The owner of the hotel is super good. The owner knows that we have not prepared food for barbecue at night. He immediately picks us up to buy food at the nearby supermarket. At night, he also prepares a delicious raw fruit plate for us. It is very kind.
There are also three cute dogs from the boss, all of them are very close. The boss knew that we were not traveling by car, and sent us to the station in the morning. Thank you very much for the boss's help. I will definitely come again next time I have a chance and recommend it to friends.
GGuest UserThe room is spacious, has 2 bathrooms and toilets make usage convenient for a family. We stayed there because we went skiing in Elysian so it’s 15 min drive. I don’t think it’s very accessible by public transport.
Interior design is a bit strange, combining colorful and traditional wooden bulky furniture, the wall is painted black and there is only one small window in the big living room so the feeling is dark, and the led light hanging on the second floor fence don’t work. So I would say facility and hygiene is just ok , but the price kind of explain this, so it’s acceptable.

PParkeunkyungThis is a room I booked separately for my younger sibling who went on a trip with the adults.
He said he was very satisfied with the comfortable, clean, and delicious breakfast sandwich service.
He said that the feeling he got when he saw the exterior of the building and the parking lot was very different from the feeling he got when he went into the room.
He said that the bedding was clean and he slept very, very well.
AAnonymous UserTo be honest.. all's good. Just 2 mini grumbles..
1. I suppose because they do generally allow their guests to smoke in the room, i can still smell the tabacco lingering. Not the best smell through the nights there.
2. No lifts. Thankfully my luggage is not heavy this round so its still manageable else i could foresee an issue lugging it up and down the stairs.
Now.. the pros..!
1. It is very clean. Bathroom attached which its great.
2. Room size is okie for 2. Has tv, wifi, lots of plugs.. facial care as well actually.. and a rather nice-smelling diffuser.
Spacious even, to put 1 luggage. Theres a heater and aircon unit ( of cuz not needed in this winter season)
3. Bathroom is spacious. There's towels provided. Shampoo, bodywash and toothpaste even! Abundant hot water.
4. A stone throw away from the bus terminal. Less than 5mins walk. Loads of eateries, cafes and even a diaso. Oh and the market.
5. Small town.. so everywhere's walkable. Quiet, slow-paced town. Awesome to chill here.
다다문It's relatively early summer, so I stayed quietly for two nights.
The boss was very kind, and he was very kind when he told me about the things he needed, such as towels, chargers, etc., and he asked me to return them well ~~
The hostel was quiet and the shared shower and toilet were neatly maintained
Not about the accommodation, but unfortunately
It's still off-season, so there are three convenience stores around it for less than 24 hours ㅠ

GGuest UserWe stayed 2 nights, and the owners were really kind and friendly and invited us to sing and play Korean songs along with them and other families in the stage they have in the basement. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my whole trip in South Korea.
The room and water were warm and well suited for the winter. They upgraded our room for free and there was so much space with sink, fridge, sofa and table included. The breakfast every morning is delicious and filling, preparing you well for a day of walking in the mountains. 설악산 was beautiful coated in the white snow. The location of the hotel is great too, as there is a frequent bus that takes you to the park in no time, as well as to the city when you first come or when you leave the last day.
I hope I can come back again to visit the park during different seasons, and I will definitely would like to stay in this hotel again.
Thank you for everything.
Gracias, 감사합니다 😄
GGuest UserThe yard is small and the beds and bedding are average. The beds in particular are spherical and hard, so I had trouble sleeping all night. However, the price/performance ratio is average.
EExplorer777Located in an excellent place in the mountains. Excellent place when escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. Close to the tourist attractions, Seoraksan National Park and other places are a short bus ride away. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom could be cleaner in terms of the sinks and forceps. The staff is very nice. They don’t clean your room without your permission. Also free water, ramen, drinks and few mini toiletries. I’d definitely stay there again when I visit Sokcho again.
