The first time I traveled abroad alone, I started from Luang Prabang. I am very glad that I chose this youth hostel, which made a good start for my solo trip in Southeast Asia. I am full of expectations for the next trip!
First of all, the public area environment is superb! The large swimming pool, open restaurant bar, open-air green plants, and I happened to meet employees climbing trees and cutting coconuts to drink... Each item makes the holiday feel 11111. Even if you don't go shopping on the street, just staying here to bask in the sun or lie down is a very comfortable and pleasant enjoyment.
Most of the people living here are Europeans and Americans. The restaurant bar provides simple meals and drinks. Get up early and watch the 1.9-meter-tall foreigners with double doors in the swimming pool. Drink a cup of coffee, a salad or yogurt. It's pleasing to the eye and in a great mood! Or it's also comfortable to have a few drinks in the breeze at night. Chinese people don't cheat Chinese people, sisters, just go!
There are also many kittens here. The cats are smart and clingy. When they see you have food, they will come to you and stick to you. They cheated all the eggs and meat in my salad!
The location is only a few hundred meters away from the entrance of the night market. Luang Prabang is not big, so you can go anywhere, which is very convenient.
Finally, let me talk about the staff. They are very friendly. Everyone smiles, which makes people feel good. The front desk can also exchange currency, which is very convenient.
In short, it is a super satisfactory experience. If I have the opportunity, I will come to Luang Prabang again for this place!

I can say this place is good to stay if you are on budget. They give a good breakfast, location is walking distance to night market, Mekong riverside, restaurant, convenient store, they provide towel, shampoo and body soap, they serve good coffee and lobby where you can rest from long walk. Thanks to friendly Ms.Tian and her team.

Spotless clean and friendly staff, the hotel is located at around 15 minutes walk from downtown. They dispose of free bikes that can be used to roam around town, the place is quiet and with good vibes around the place.

Stayed here for one night and the impressions of the room were very pleasant. Clean, clean, convenient location. It is only difficult to find this place, tc it is in the hill on which you have to roll over the indicator from the long morning market

Good location. Night markets and river side caffè shops are just 1min around there. My room was 1F. In the morning time there were sound like some one jumping or running from 2F. It was not noisy. Except that all good.

This time staying at the Secret Hotel in Luang Prabang, it is really the most pleasant choice for this trip! Must give five-star praise!
The location of the hotel is perfect. It takes a few minutes to walk to the Mekong River. The balcony of the room is facing the river. Every evening, you can nest on the rattan chair to watch the sunset. The sunset dyes the river golden red, with the distant mountain shadow, which is so beautiful that people can't move their eyes. It is also convenient to go shopping at night. It is super close to Foreigner Street. A variety of specialty shops, cafes and night markets are just a few steps away. You can feel the excitement and will not be disturbed by the noise.
What makes me most unforgettable is the early morning delivery experience. The hotel is very close to the main street of the old city. You don't have to get up early to hurry, you can quietly watch the pious delivery scene of the locals on the street. The picture in the morning light is warm and healing. This feeling of integrating into local life is too precious.
Living here, you can not only sit on the quiet scenery of the Mekong River, but also easily play the lively of the foreigner street, and the most moving morning in Luang Prabang. It is definitely the first choice for accommodation in Luang Prabang. It is highly recommended!
We had a nice stay at this hotel. Room is spacious. Staff are friendly, even though we had some miscommunication about early breakfast. They kept our luggage for 2 days, which was wonderful for us to travel light dure a 2 day tour
The hostel is well located and within walking distance of major sites. It is close to a minimarket and a few restaurants. Beds are big, and breakfasts are included in the already very affordable price. The owner is very helpful and hilarious. When I came and was really starving, he offered to cook something for me. As I was worried about not being able to book a car ride to the airport, he eventually drove me there on his scooter. He is very chatty and willing to share his enriching living expériences.

GGuest UserIt's okay for the price~ I liked the balcony.
The bathroom and toilet are separate.
It's not completely clean, and you have to take that into account because it's an old building. The location is a bit far from the night market, but you can walk there, and I rented a scooter, so it wasn't difficult to get around.
YYeeMonThe room is pretty clean and the atmosphere is very pleasant. An absolute 5 stars for location because it’s close to everywhere and you can just walk around if you like. I only have an issue with their tour service. I booked a private tuk tuk to Kuang Si waterfall and everything was fine. However, for the Pak Ou Cave and whiskey village tour, I paid 250k kip as you can see on the receipt. As per the receptionist who helped me booked, the price included all the transportation fees such as pick up from the villa and boat ride. On the day itself, the tuk tuk came 10 mins late to pick me up and waited for other people to arrive at the pier. For your information, from the villa to the pier is about 7 mins ride. After a while, I got on the boat and a staff asked another 30k kip for the ride. And there wasn’t any pick up at the pier when I got back from the cave. So basically, it’s like I paid 250k kip for the 7 mins tuk tuk ride and I wanted to clarify about that. But I didn’t get to meet the same receptionist until I checked out. Overall, it was a total scam and a waste of money. If you are planning to stay there, try not to use those services as they are so overpriced and not worth the money at all.
SSempornaLocated at a central to go the night market and also along the Mekong River. Very quiet and splendid hotel. Opposite is the Huean Chan Historic House museum and a Spa massage centres. Adjacent is the main road and easily accessible to ATM to withdraw cash. Local food stalls and coffee bars are abundant here.
Staff are helpful and my room is clean and change towels everyday. This is an thumbs up to the room service staff. One of the amenities you have to bring is your tooth brush and your tooth paste. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at thatsaphone hotel.
CChicdeshitouniuOverall, good value for money.
I like the wooden style and the warmth and security brought by the locked door of the homestay.
The price is still very good.
The problem is that it is far away from the center, and we rely on bamboo bridges during dry seasons. After the bamboo bridges are gone, we mainly look at the feeder boats. The boats leave very late in the morning, and taxis in Laos are very expensive, which is always inconvenient. It doesn't matter if you rent a car.
The room is small, but the hygiene is good.
Bedding was torn. Bathroom shower and toilet cannot be separated.
GGuest UserWe loved Ock Pop Top. All of the staff were so friendly and made us very welcome. Especially Mr Duan who helped us arrange a slow boat and Mr Noi and Mr Air who gave my partner lots of tips for local fishing. We only stayed 1 night but we will be coming back for sure. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. You can learn a lot about Hmong crafts which is very interesting. The food and drink is delicious, I recommend the tamarind margaritas! The rooms are beautiful and full of eco friendly amenities like mosquito spray, shampoo, soap etc and locally crafted decor. The balcony rooms facing the Mekong are amazing. The location is out of the town centre but they offer a free shuttle service via tuk tuk, you may have to wait a while but you can relax in the bar while you wait. The sunset from the restaurant is amazing but be aware that between 5:30-6:30 the mosquitoes come out in full force! Cover up or bring the spray from your room and keep topping up.
JjrrrrrGO!Convenient to travel, in the center of the old city, and very close to the morning and night markets. The room was booked as a family room with three beds. There was a youth hostel next door, so it was a bit noisy at night. The price is similar to that in China. The villa has a beautiful appearance and a beautiful courtyard environment, which is suitable for a short break. Overall good, recommended 👍
GGuest UserReally great hotel for the price, we ended up extending our stay twice.
The room was big, with hair dryer, mini fridge, outside seating, towels and shampoo/shower gel.
WiFi was strong, water got super hot really quickly.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, not much English but we used translate app where needed.
Location is about 20/30min walk from the main centre, but there are a lot of restaurants and coffee/tea places along the way.
The room itself was clean and tidy, there were some bed sheets in the closet in a pile that was quite random but as the ones on the bed were clean we weren’t bothered.

HHa Bui 3101Old hotel like everywhere in Laos, “breakfast “ is some eggs and some toast and banana, that’s all you have. The room and bed are so tidy so prepare if you have big suitcases.
The landlord is very friendly, just the facilities are old
