AAnonymous UserWe booked a double room, but upon arrival we were given a very small room with two single beds. There was minimal space between the beds, and overall the room did not match what we had booked.
Before our arrival, we submitted a request to the hotel asking for a double bed instead of two single beds. Trip.com indicated that our request had been forwarded to the hotel. However, when we checked in, the staff told us that they had not received such a request and refused to change the beds to a double bed. They also said that an extra charge per night would be required to provide a double bed. This was disappointing, as we had booked a double room and the request had been marked as handled on our side.
This was the first time we experienced an issue like this for such a simple request, and we were quite disappointed with the service.
In addition, the size of the bathroom was very small. It was not practical for two people to be in the bathroom at the same time, which further affected the comfort of our stay.
We hope you will look into this matter and improve the handling of bed-type requests for future guests.
Thank you.
AAnonymous UserWe have stayed in many Daiwa Roynet Hotels in Japan, and we’ve trusted the Daiwa Roynet brand very much. However, the Takamatsu property is the worst we’ve experienced so far, and after this stay we will be more cautious about choosing to stay at Daiwa Roynet in the future.
The facilities are very old and urgently need refurbishment. The cleanliness of our room was also quite shocking. There was hair in the bathroom and bathtub, and hair on the pajamas they provided, as shown in the photo. There were stains throughout the room as well. The bedding used is also smaller than the bed as shown in the picture.
If you’re planning day trips to the islands, the hotel isn’t very close to the port. There are plenty of shops nearby, though, so the overall location is ok.
SSZ1031Here’s a concise and enthusiastic hotel review in English:
I highly recommend this hotel! The location is absolutely unbeatable — just a 3-5 minute walk from a vibrant nightlife district and a food street packed with amazing options. The on-site bathhouse is spotless and even offers free ice cream, which was a delightful surprise. Breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, with something for everyone. Overall, a fantastic stay — I’d definitely come back!
GGuest UserThis was probably the most expensive hotel we stayed at during this trip, but it was unavoidable since it coincided with a Japanese holiday.
**Environment:** The location is excellent. You can catch the airport shuttle right outside.
**Facilities:** The room was quite spacious. We had no problem at all opening up two large suitcases. I'm glad we stayed here on our last day.
MMargaritaPaskoI loved staying in Dormy inn.The room wasn't spacious, but it had everything you may need for a comfortable stay. The bed was big and comfortable.Though I didn't have a shower, in the room, I could use onsen which was terrific! It has both indoor and outdoor baths., very clean , well equipped. Nice music ,nice aroma in the sauna.
There's a coin washing machine and vending machines as well.
The location of the hotel was very handy, walking distance from the port and bus station, lots of restaurants around.
GGuest UserHelpful staff, beautiful and clean room, nice onsen with high-quality water and stunning view from the top in the morning. The dinning room was nice in terms of atmosphere and the food was above average. But the restaurant staff refused to borrow a knife for us to cut fruits at our room, making us slightly frustrated despite their explanation about safety issues.
AAnonymous UserThe location is very convenient, right next to a shopping street, and close to the recommended parking lot. The room size is decent, with a small living area. However, the cleaning wasn't very thorough. We stayed for two nights, and after the second day's cleaning, there were still a lot of hairs on the floor. Breakfast is until 9:30 AM, with last orders at 9:00 AM. But when we went down at 8:40 AM, there was almost nothing left, and they weren't refilling anything. While this might be to avoid waste, as a customer, the experience was quite poor.
GGuest UserHere's a review based on what you've shared:
I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location is incredibly convenient, with easy access from the station and close proximity to the city center. The hotel itself is modern, spotless, and very comfortable. The rooms are well-designed, providing both style and comfort, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The attention to cleanliness is top-notch, and the overall atmosphere feels fresh and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay!
MMitiKwokNice hotel, good room, historical value, very clean, the front desk clerk is also very good, although the hotel has stairs, but the two waiters worked hard to help us move the itinerary to the room, thank you very much!
But this hotel does not have a formal counter to check in, so we also need to pay attention to the brand nearby before seeing which store to go to to handle the check in service.
The most unacceptable thing is that when booking this hotel, the check-in payment has been deducted, and the payment will be officially made when you arrive at the local area, and then you have to wait for 3-35 days before arrange the original return.
I have waited for a month so far, and there is no refund. According to the customer service of trip.com, the payment has not been refunded because the hotel has not made a loan, so I have to wait.
I can't understand this very well, so I can't get a full score on the service ...
GGuest UserLocated in the heart of the bustling commercial district, the hotel boasts elegant Art Deco decor. The front desk staff who checked me in spoke English, and interestingly, on my check-out day, both front desk agents spoke Chinese. The room's furniture and lighting subtly exuded an old-money aesthetic, feeling natural and effortlessly sophisticated.
