I had a wonderful stay at The Granite Luxury Hotel Penang. The hotel offers spacious, clean, and beautifully designed rooms that provide both comfort and luxury. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore George Town and nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help.
One of the highlights of my stay was the overall comfort and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The facilities were well maintained, and the room was equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The hotel offers great value for money and exceeded my expectations in many ways.
I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious experience.
Excellent location to delicious local food - char kway teow, hokien prawn noodles. Fried beehoon with fried fish meat (available only in the morning). Don't forget to order ambra drink. Love it!
The first shop on the left when you get out of the hotel, we ate there 3 times. Yummy
Every night the local food stalls along the street will be busy with lots of people.
The charcoal fried char kway teow's queue can be up to 1.5 hours.
They start at two pm so go early. Close on Wednesday.
Across the street from the hotel, you can buy Penang Tau sar pniah.. there is a nonya restaurant but we didn't try.
This was our first time in Penang, and it was our honeymoon! When I made the reservation, I added a note about it, and the hotel staff really did prepare our room in advance. Even though we arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, there was a cake already waiting in the room, and it was decorated with rose petals and swans. A huge thank you! 🙏 We'll definitely stay at this hotel again if we come back to Penang. The emotional value was through the roof! Plus, it was super convenient to get everywhere by taxi.
It is located somewhere in between Batu Ferringhi beaches and George town which depending on what your objectives are you should stay to nearer to those locality
It's Location next to Lotus hypermarket is superb.
Not much facilities and amenities. Bathroom is very old school though overall room size is not bad.
Not much view.
Lobby area is dark and black. Breakfast is not the best but decent.
Staff are helpful.

The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.”
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of George Town, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. The room itself is pretty well-maintained. My only gripes are the unstable Wi-Fi and the weak water pressure in the shower.
The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion (also known as The Blue Mansion) boasts an excellent location in George Town's historic district. Right across the street are the Clan Jetties, and there are countless historical buildings nearby, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. What truly stands out is the hotel staff; they are exceptionally polite and attentive. The hotel itself is an old heritage building, so the facilities are a little dated, but they are very well-maintained. The rooms are cleaned immaculately every day, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices to suit most tastes. For this area, it offers fantastic value for money.

No swimming pool
Just stayed at the new Capri by Fraser Penang and loved it. The design is gorgeous, especially the huge arched window in the room facing the city roofs and the beautiful terrazzo bathroom.
The location is perfect and right in town. You can easily walk to three malls (Gama, Prangin Mall, 1st Avenue), nearby convenience stores, local food, cafes, and restaurants. There is ongoing LRT construction opposite the hotel (slated for 2030 or later), but it didn't affect the stay.
Great facilities (pool, gym, sauna) and I loved the floor water refill stations with the eco-friendly glass bottles provided in the room. The staff were super friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out.
Recommended for anyone visiting Penang who wants a fresh, modern, and highly convenient place to stay.
Had a pleasant stay at Urban Suites by Urban Pleasure in Penang. The unit was clean, spacious, and comfortable for our group of 7, although I would say 6 people would be the ideal number for a more relaxing stay. The location was convenient and the facilities were quite complete, especially the swimming pool and gym. One thing we really appreciated was the washing machine and dryer, which made the trip much easier for longer stays. The view from the unit was also beautiful, especially at night when the city lights started glowing like a mini galaxy. Overall, a good and worthwhile stay for families or groups visiting Penang.

Ssj91this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

PPetrelHad a fantastic stay! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The free parking was a huge bonus. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Unlike other hotels that offer a welcome drink, Sho Hotel provides a complimentary coffee/tea/orange juice every single day. If you stay for several days, you get several drinks – it's such a thoughtful touch! I'd redeem mine every morning before heading out, and the staff would put it in a to-go cup for me to take with me. Absolutely delightful! ❤️
Sho Hotel will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Penang!
WWalter Zhou-zhouyipingOn a business trip to Penang, I'd stayed here before and chose this hotel again. The location is excellent, about a 30-minute drive from Penang International Airport. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping malls nearby, and it's not far from the Street Art area. The front desk is on the 20th floor; the staff are friendly, and there's a comfortable business and lounge area. The room amenities are comprehensive and clean. This time, I noticed they added a water dispenser, which is eco-friendly and convenient for guests from different countries, offering warm, hot, and iced water. Breakfast on the 21st floor isn't extensive but decent. There's also a good cafe right opposite the hotel with nice breakfast options. Overall, a great experience. I'll choose this hotel again next time.
AAnonymous UserThe room was quite spacious, but it was incredibly noisy at night. Our room, 1207, faced the street, and the sound of motorcycle engines was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. The air conditioning in the master bedroom and the exhaust fan in the bathroom were also very noisy; you could hear a clear difference in a video I took when they were on and off. Sleeping with the AC on was too loud, but sleeping with just the fan was too hot, and combined with the noise from the motorcycles outside, I really didn't get good rest. I tried to change rooms, but was told they were fully booked, so I had to stay there for three nights. Since it's an apartment, there was no bottled water. The bathroom only had a single, very basic all-in-one shower gel/shampoo. You'll need to bring your own toothpaste and other toiletries, so keep that in mind if you're planning to stay here.
AAnonymous UserCitadines Connect Penang boasts an excellent location right in the heart of George Town, making it super convenient for getting around, finding food, and exploring attractions. The hotel's overall cleanliness is top-notch; the rooms are neat, fresh, and well-maintained. They even offer complimentary freshly ground coffee in the lobby, which is a nice touch and very convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was very cozy, which helped me get a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, convenient and safe, with plenty of dining options nearby. The room is spacious, and the environment is pleasant. The service is also very prompt. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. Great value for money!
