We had an excellent view with a very clean room. We chose the Bayview and it was indeed an excellent choice. Many stores in the hotel to shop and food and drinks. Very family friendly as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel old rooms are not clean, I'm not happy to stay, and location is not good

I found this hotel near Newark Airport last minute due to a flight change. They offer a shuttle service every half hour, and it's all about value for money and convenience. The hotel is about a fifteen-minute walk to a European immigrant neighborhood with many restaurants, including a BBQ joint that serves huge portions. The hotel itself is a bit old, but it prioritizes good value and convenience, especially for an airport hotel.

Exceeded my expectations! Even though the hotel opened quite a while ago, the facilities aren't outdated. It definitely lives up to Marriott's standards. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and friendly. They also offer a 24-hour airport shuttle service, organized by terminal. You just need to wait for the correct terminal shuttle bus right outside the hotel.

The hotel itself is nice, with spacious rooms and a great waterfront location right next to the PATH station. However, keep in mind that it’s in Jersey City, not NYC, so you’ll need to pay separately for the PATH every time you travel to and from Manhattan. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. My first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and was nothing like what I had requested. They eventually moved me, but the staff generally felt unfriendly and unaccommodating. I was also surprised that they refused to store my luggage for a few days while I was traveling, even though I had another reservation at the same hotel upon my return. When I asked for help finding a reliable alternative, the staff were completely unhelpful. Finally, on two of my four nights, guests in nearby rooms were extremely loud from around 2:30–6:00 a.m. I had to call reception both times and ask security to intervene. Better soundproofing would definitely help. Overall, the room and location were good, but the service and lack of flexibility made the stay much more frustrating than I expected from a Hyatt.

We ate dinner at Capriccio‘s. The bar and dining service was impeccable. The food delicious. Navigating through the hotel was difficult, there is not a lot of information on site as to the floor plan and where things are located. Would be nice to have maps like in a shopping mall. Traffic to most locations is routed through the ******. The smell of cigarette smoke was both shocking and unacceptable. The nicer bars closed down around 10 o’clock. It seemed. Had to go into the ****** for a late night cocktails. By that hour of the night ****** bars were messy, smoky and loud. All of the staff that we connect with, were very helpful and pleasant and went out of their way to accommodate us as much as they could .

The room we checked in did not prepared well. The sink is clogged and no power supply for coffee maker. However, they did change a new room for us. Good for the backup. Nothing to complain.

Service not applicable. The room was large enough and bathroom very clean!!! The noted price for bottled water ($4 each) - no good and the they were old.

The room offered great views of the magnificent Manhattan skyline. However, the facilities inside were quite old and had an unpleasant odor, and the air conditioning was very noisy. The restaurant on the first floor was excellent. It was also very convenient to get to Manhattan as the port was right outside.

Big hotel, is old. Including lobby and room interior. Ctrip can't book breakfast, which is a bit baffling. Convenient transportation and free parking. The nearby lake view is good, you can go for a jog by the lakeside in the morning 🏃.
