Hotels in Beijing Railway Station, Jianguomen and Guomao Area, Beijing

This guesthouse, tucked away in a hutong, is the former residence of Edgar Snow and perfectly captures the old Beijing hutong charm. I stayed at Beijing Zhong An Hotel for three days, and my overall experience was excellent. The hotel staff were warm and attentive; one of the service guys even helped me carry my luggage to the room. During my stay, I saw many foreign guests, which created a great atmosphere. The breakfast, especially, was a highlight. It was a Western and Chinese buffet with a rich variety of authentic dishes, catering to both Chinese breakfast preferences and Western light meals. The hotel's location is also superb, close to Beijing Railway Station. There's a small alleyway from the hutong that leads you to the hotel in about a hundred meters, and it's also very near Tiananmen Square, making transportation incredibly convenient. Overall, it's great value for money and highly recommended.

Conveniently located near two subway stations, about 600 meters from Beijing Railway Station and 700 meters from Jianguomen, it's super easy to find. There are also plenty of dining options nearby, so grabbing a quick meal is no problem. The environment is very clean, and the staff are all lovely. Highly recommend! I stayed for a week, and they even gave me a small gift before I left, which was a nice touch. I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I get the chance.

After a lot of research, I chose Xinyi, and I was so impressed with the service upon arrival. It felt like a very well-run, standardized operation. I later found out from a staff member that it's a state-owned hotel. The room was very clean, with one 1.5-meter bed and one 1.3-meter bed, which was perfect for our family of two adults and two children. We stayed for four nights. I would definitely choose Xinyi Hotel again on my next trip to Beijing. The hotel breakfast was excellent, with new varieties every day. The hotel lobby also had stamps for the kids, which they loved. We even bought a watermelon, and the kitchen staff helped us cut and arrange it. Xinyi truly deserves all these heartfelt compliments today. Traveling with my elderly parents and two children, I felt a genuine sense of comfort and care throughout our stay.

Five stars all around! Stayed for two nights and had a great experience, so I extended for another night. ✅ Excellent location, right across from Beijing Railway Station, accessible via an elevator skybridge. ✅ Subway Line 2 is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get around without traffic. It's a 30-minute subway ride to Chaoyang Station. ✅ The hotel has a lot of international guests, and the breakfast tends to be Western-style. The breakfast dining area is stunning, with a domed ceiling. ✅ Food delivery to rooms is handled by robots. ✅ The guest rooms have good soundproofing. ✅ The front desk staff (Xiaona, Qiuye, and others whose names I can't recall) and restaurant staff (can't remember their names either 😄) were all incredibly warm and attentive. ✅ Upon checkout, we received complimentary cookies, which made for a perfect snack on our high-speed train ride home. They were delicious and even came with a small chain, so you could wear them like a bracelet 😄 (I'd suggest serving these at breakfast; they'd be amazing with milk).

The hotel is not really close to a metro station, but nothing in Beijing is, I guess. It is on a quiet street, close enough to an area with shopping malls. There are lot of food and shops very near. The rooms are cosy and good enough for the value. One of the receptionist is super helpful and kind and attended to all my needs, that were a lot :) There is a small temple near by that has musical performances every day.

The location is great, right next to Beijing Railway Station, making it super convenient for getting around. The room, though small, was well-designed and very comfortable. Hot water was available 24/7. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

The hotel was cleaned daily, and toilet paper and water were replenished. The hot water was really hot, and the hairdryer was powerful and blew very hot air. The obstructed window didn't bother me; in fact, it enhanced privacy. It's about a ten-minute walk from Beijing Railway Station and Jianguomen subway station. There are also bus routes like 622 and 9. Convenience stores, restaurants, and Beijing specialty shops are plentiful nearby, offering many choices. Jiangcheng Zhangji's braised dishes were delicious! The pea cake had a grainy texture, likely unsweetened, and tasted very authentic and firm – quite a pleasant surprise! Personally, I think it's much better than what you find at Jinfang or Niujie. The red bean jelly cake and zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles) were also tasty! However, the fruit was expensive and not very good.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from the start; the reception team was very welcoming and made check-in a breeze. The room was spotless and well-organized, making it very comfortable to stay in. I did have a small issue with the air conditioning controls, and although I couldn't communicate in Chinese, the staff was incredibly helpful—they sent someone up to our room immediately to fix it for us. Regarding the breakfast, the selection wasn't huge, but the quality was good and the service staff were very attentive. The location is in a quiet, peaceful area, which is great for resting. However, keep in mind that it is a bit of a walk to reach the main dining and shopping areas, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great experience!

It's a very convenient location, not expensive, but you'll have to put up with the not-so-good repairs and perfect audibility, especially when at 8am someone decides to dry their hair for half an hour when you were thinking about sleeping longer.

The young lady at the front desk during the day was incredibly enthusiastic. My husband and I, two seniors, had two large suitcases, and she helped us carry them downstairs. She even waited with us for our ride-hailing car and helped us load them in. We really can't thank her enough! The location is great; turn right out of the main entrance and there's a delicious Shunde restaurant. The food is fantastic! The hotel's location is truly excellent, though the only drawback is the lack of an elevator.
