⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly satisfying stay! Our recent stay at this hotel in Beijing was excellent overall, leaving us with a warm and lasting impression. First and foremost, I'd like to commend the hotel's service. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and kind, making us feel very comfortable and truly at home. The hotel's location is also incredibly convenient, right behind Beijing Railway Station, making transportation exceptionally easy. This was a huge relief for us as tourists visiting Beijing. Furthermore, the thoughtful services provided by the hotel pleasantly surprised us. We stayed for four consecutive nights, and the hotel offered a complimentary bag of laundry service and even a complimentary half roasted duck, which was a very generous gesture. The hotel's dining prices were also very reasonable, with the breakfast buffet at just 38 yuan per person, and in-house guests receiving a 30% discount on regular meals. I particularly loved the small courtyard in the center of the hotel. It offered a relaxed and comfortable environment. After a busy day, sitting in the courtyard to eat and relax felt incredibly pleasant. Of course, I have two small suggestions for the hotel to consider: The carpet in the hotel corridors appears a bit old. If possible, I suggest replacing or renovating it in due course, which I believe would make the overall environment even more comfortable. Additionally, during our stay, the toilet flush in the bathroom seemed a bit sluggish. I hope the hotel can check and improve this. Overall, this is a hotel with warm service, a convenient location, great value for money, and a very human touch. Thanks to the dedicated service of the hotel staff, our trip to Beijing was made even more memorable. If we visit Beijing again, we will definitely choose this hotel and recommend it to our friends! 💕

I stayed here 10 years ago, and the rooms have been renovated with smart features, which I'm quite happy with. However, the soft services have declined. This is the first time I've encountered a five-star hotel where there's not a single seat in the lobby for check-in on the first floor. It was mostly taken up by an event registration desk. As a guest, I had to stand with my luggage for 10 minutes waiting for a car, which was exhausting. Don't expect any service at all; I couldn't even get a bag for my food from the restaurant. They only provide them for breakfast takeaway, not for other guests.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It’s conveniently located in the centre of Beijing, making it easy to reach many of the city’s major tourist attractions. Considering the central location, the price is also very reasonable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel was disappointing. The room was not very clean, the air conditioner was leaking, and we occasionally spotted cockroaches, which was quite unpleasant. Overall, while the convenient location, affordable price, and helpful staff are definite positives, I hope the hotel invests more in cleanliness and maintenance. With some improvements, it could be a much better place to stay.

This is a very good choice for a family hotel, two large beds, big room and nice sized bathroom. Location is excellent only 1 min to Beijing Railway station metro. Shops and restaurants 100m outside. Close to Wangfujing, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven etc. The morning breakfast is incredible. At least 10-12 selections, then dim sum and hot pot. Coffee and pastry section, large seating area with spacious seating. I don't think its possible to find a better breakfast at this price point. For those a little adventurous there's a barber in the Hutong less than 3 min away for authentic Chinese barber experience, inquire at reception. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Use a language app to figure out laundry settings. Overall wonderful experience with a suprise gift from the hotel on checkout.

The hotel is great, and the location is superb. Everything is convenient nearby. Especially the hotel staff, their attitude is excellent. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the service is thoughtful and meticulous. I just have a small suggestion: I hope the hotel can learn from Atour Hotels and provide seating for the front desk staff, in response to social calls. Employees need to balance work and rest; appropriate breaks during work hours will enable them to provide even better service. I hope the hotel can pay attention to this detail.

The young lady at the front desk during the day was incredibly enthusiastic. My husband and I, two seniors, had two large suitcases, and she helped us carry them downstairs. She even waited with us for our ride-hailing car and helped us load them in. We really can't thank her enough! The location is great; turn right out of the main entrance and there's a delicious Shunde restaurant. The food is fantastic! The hotel's location is truly excellent, though the only drawback is the lack of an elevator.

On the 4th floor, the room was a bit small for the price, but I guess that's common in places like Beijing where space is at a premium. It was very convenient for getting around, with the subway station just a 2-minute walk away. The soundproofing wasn't great though. There were some kids making a lot of noise late into the night next door, and people heading out for the flag-raising ceremony at 2 or 3 AM were chatting loudly in the hallway, and I could hear everything in my room.

It’s situated opposite the Beijing railway station and there is a subway station round the corner from the hotel, which we find super convenient to get about. It’s line 2 on the subway and it’s only a few stops to Qianmen so it’s really quite central too. The hotel itself is superb, from staff service. Cleanliness and comfort. We are a family of 4 with two grown up children and 1 King size bed with 2 single beds arrangement room is very hard to find. This hotel not only fulfil this, they also have 2 separate toilets, 2 shower cubicles and a bath. The room is super spacious. The buffet style breakfast has a wide selection of choices and it runs from 6 to 10:30am during weekdays and to 11 am at weekends so it suited people who need to wake up early for further excursions and people who wants a lye in in the hotel’s comfy beds. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to use this hotel again if we are to come to Beijing again. In fact we are already looking for Howard Johnson chain for our next trip to Chengdu😍

This hotel stay in Beijing was very satisfying. Before arriving, I did a lot of research and gathered useful information online, which made me quite anxious because there was so much conflicting information about hotels, both good and bad. In the end, I chose Zhaojialou Hotel because it was close to the attractions I wanted to visit. Taxis usually took about ten minutes, so I didn't waste much time commuting. There were some unassuming spots nearby for breakfast, which was perfectly fine for a quick bite. If you're planning your trip, it's best to book your room in advance as prices can fluctuate.

I was very satisfied, it exceeded my expectations! Great value for money. The hotel is only a few hundred meters from Beijing Railway Station, and it's also very close to the subway station. You can even take a stroll through the nearby hutongs. The only drawback was being woken up by noise the next morning... The lady at the front desk was also very enthusiastic!
