Hotels in Tian'Anmen Square and Wangfujing Area, Beijing

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

As a solo traveller on my first trip to Beijing, I had a pleasant stay at Dongsi Hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the metro station and close to popular attractions, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with the essential amenities needed for a good stay. What made my experience especially memorable was the warm hospitality of the staff. A special thanks to Yao Song Shan and Zhao Weicheng for their friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to help whenever I had questions. Their excellent service made me feel welcomed and added to the overall positive experience. Overall, Dongsi Hotel offers great value for money and is a good choice for travellers looking for a convenient and comfortable base in Beijing. I would gladly stay here again.

Absolutely thrilled with the room! The bathroom had a fantastic wet/dry separation, and the floor-to-ceiling windows were a lovely touch. There was even a mini-fridge that kept my fruits and drinks perfectly chilled. The staff's service was outstanding; they were incredibly helpful and met all my basic needs. During a rainy day in Beijing, they even proactively asked if I needed an umbrella or raincoat – that was truly thoughtful and heartwarming. The mattress and pillows were super comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. For a Ctrip 3-diamond hotel, it genuinely felt like a 4-diamond experience in terms of facilities and ambiance. The public areas were spacious, offering a co-working space, a lounge, a laundry room, and a gym – all fully equipped. Highly recommend it! I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I bring my family to Beijing next time.

This hotel was really good. The location was amazing, really near to the Wangfujing street and the main touristics points (Forbidden City, National Museum and Tianmen Square). The hotel is located behind the St Joseph's church. The staff was very kind. I received an upgrade from a single room to a double room and it was possible to do the check in before the defined time as I arrived earlier. The room was very clean, comfortable and tyde. There is a laundry available for free at the hotel that was very convinient for me. There is also a gym and space for kids at the hotel. There is no breakfast available at the hotel however, that are a lot of options near to the hotel, that was not a problem. I highly recommend this hotel.

First, about the room – the moment I opened the door, I knew it was worth it! The space was much larger than I expected, and the decor was sophisticated and understated, not that cheap, gaudy kind. The bedding was incredibly comfortable; the mattress was just the right firmness, and there were several pillow options. Even I, someone who struggles to sleep in new places, had a full night's rest. All the room amenities were there, and the details were well thought out, like the brightness of the bedside lamp and the placement of outlets – you could tell it was designed with care. The bathroom was also very clean, with an excellent wet/dry separation. The hot water came quickly, and the water pressure was good, making for a super comfortable shower experience. I especially want to praise the front desk service! Among all the hotels I've stayed in, this one had the most consistent and pleasant service standards. When checking in, the front desk attendant was incredibly friendly, speaking at a perfect pace, explaining everything clearly, and even recommending nearby restaurants and attractions. Any issues we called about were responded to very quickly, and problems were resolved efficiently. It wasn't a perfunctory 'okay, okay' – they genuinely tried to find solutions. Check-out was also smooth, and they even proactively asked how our stay was and if we had any suggestions, which felt very sincere. The location is also top-notch; it's convenient to go anywhere, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, my impression of the stay was – for this price, to get such quality and service, it's truly excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Beijing and will recommend it to my friends! I genuinely recommend this hotel to everyone; if you're visiting Beijing, give it a try – you won't be disappointed~

I needed a room just to rest and shower, so I was happy to find this clean little hotel. It is relatively very small compared to other hotels I usually stay at, but I knew what I was looking for during this particular trip. I was looking for an affordable, clean, condo hotel with a great location. This hotel met my criteria. I left all my luggage in Shanghai, so I only brought a small bag and a tote bag. That's why I did not have a problem with the fact that the room is enough for two people to rest comfortably, and that we need to just take the stairs to our room. The soundproofing might not be the best, but again, we're sleeping well without any problems. Cleanliness is excellent. I especially love the clean bathroom. The shower is in the same area as the toilet, so the toilet will get wet. For a standard bathroom in the US, this might not be proper, but I really did not mind it considering the price is really less than a two-star hotel. I am always trying to be reasonable. Bottom line, the bathroom is very clean. Basic toiletries were provided. Two bottles of water and an electric kettle were available. AC worked great. One great service that I want to mention is the willingness of the receptionist to help us make a reservation for the Tiananmen visit. We couldn't do it because of the system that didn't work with our US phone number. The receptionist used her phone number and went through the whole process to make a reservation for us. I greatly appreciate her help, and I hope the management will also recognize her great job too. Next to the hotel is a wonderful restaurant with great service and great food as well. It was so convenient. The location of this hotel is also convenient. It's easy to reach many tourist attractions and easy to get a taxi. For anyone looking for a budget place to stay, this is one to be considered.

A small hotel tucked away in a hutong! It's located in Dengshikou, which is a fantastic location. I was on a business trip alone, and I really enjoyed cycling through the hutongs in the mornings when I had free time. The owner was incredibly nice. It's been a month since I stayed there, and I suddenly remembered I left my power bank at the hotel. I contacted them, and they actively helped me find it and even arranged to ship it to me – their service was 100%! I think they also gave a small gift when I checked out. All in all, for this price in such a prime location, if it fits your needs, you absolutely must choose this place!

The location is the main reason we booked this hotel, it’s in a great spot. The staff was also very kind, but the room seemed not very clean. There were marks all over the walls, stains on the curtains and on the floor, and one of the elevators was covered in wood on the inside which was odd. The other thing I disliked was the bathroom wall is glass and the light on the toilet and mirror couldn’t be shut off so there was light shining into the bedroom all night.

The room was great, and I loved that food deliveries could be brought right to my door by a robot. The location is super convenient, with popular spots like Siji Minfu and Grandpa's Tea right downstairs. It's also not far from the shopping mall. I was really happy with this last-minute booking.
