Hotels near Kosei-in Temple in Kyoto

The transportation is convenient. Exit 3 of Kyoto Shiyakusho Station on the Tozai Subway Line leads directly to the downstairs of the hotel. Although the facilities are not smart enough, they are well maintained and easy to use. The service is particularly good. The Japanese breakfast set menu is exquisite and delicious, and the buffet breakfast has both Japanese and Western styles, as well as Chinese steamed dumplings and siomai. It is very close to Kamogawa. There are many delicious restaurants in nearby Kiyamachi (mainly Western) and Pontocho (mainly Japanese). The restaurant is relatively late. The three nearby commercial streets are also very lively, and most shops close early. The view from the room is great, as is the view from the breakfast restaurant.

A wonderful hotel all around. Rooms were comfortable, though small like most Japanese hotel rooms, it still had a luxury feel to it. I especially loved the faucet/shower head controls. Very nice stay and unbeatable location!

It took us a while to find this hotel. It is situated in the side streets of Kyoto. A bit far from everything. Not much cafes and restaurants are found within the vicinity of this hotel. The check in process is a bit frustrating especially if you’ve traveled far and walked a long while prior to check in. There is no personnel to assist you. No complimentary bottled water. No convenience store nearby which is odd if you are in Japan. The nearest Family Mart is probably 300m away. The room is planned well. There is ample space to walk around despite having 3 luggages. There is a little tub in the bathroom and electronic toilet.

Best location hotel so far. Located between two subway station. Center of kyoto shopping street. Nice and clean facilities. I like the view from our room this was surplus. Will definitely come back to stay here again.

The location is excellent and right in the downtown of Kyoto but not in the front street which will be too crowded and noisy, still there were some noisy from the restaurants and bar nearby which still played loud music even after 12:00AM, so not ideal for those people who needs total silence to sleep. This is probably the necessary evil when live in the downtown hotel, but the hotel is already in the back alley so felt a bit better. Cannot consider the service top quality since the hotel front desk is located at 8th floor, and there is only one person tending the luggage at ground level till 6PM, so no service can be offered at ground level, this is the part can improve since some of the high floor hotel do have ground floor service crew unless in a big commercial building complex. The room is nicely decorated and everything feels new, no complaint about the room. Although the breakfast is a bit disappointed given the very limited selection of foods and Japanese style breakfast can only offer limited number (25 serving per day?), this part can definitely make some improvement, at least inform the guest about the limited number so we can book in advance.

Strategic location besides Karasuma Oike station and 5mins walk to Karasuma station if you need to take the Hankyu line. Quaint area with nearby 7-11 for your snack runs and Starbucks on the main road. Good security too with hotel card access. Note that there is a main and annex building (2 buildings for different rooms selection).

The location is good. Keihan train and bus stations are nearby. There are also coffee shops and restaurants in the downtown area. You can have breakfast in the hall downstairs, but you have to wait for a table. The front desk is polite, check-in is manual, check-out machines are self-service, check-in is at 3pm, and you can store your luggage if you arrive early. The room is spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and the shower has a large flow of water. The only drawback is that the sliding door of the bathroom is a bit noisy.

Take the Kaohsiung bus from Kyoto Station and get off at the door. The hotel is not big, but the facilities and cleanliness are definitely better than those of ordinary five-star luxury hotels. The service is also very good. There is a young overseas Chinese girl from Myanmar at the front desk who can speak Chinese. She went to school in Japan and studied hotel management and worked hard at the hotel. Communication is so convenient. It's a six or seven-minute walk from the JR station, which is very convenient.

The concierge was very helpful. Location is great. Room is small, no view but has a bath tub and bath salt is provided.. which was wonderful after walking around kyoto the whole day. Plenty of Umbrellas were available when it rained 👍

A lovely hotel. Reception staff a delightful very friendy, warm welcome and very helpful. Obviously being Japan rooms are spotelessly clean. Quiet, comfortable, compact rooms with every facility you can wish for. The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing in Kyoto. I most certainly will stay here again.
