"Here’s my honest, heart-felt take on Aui Nguyen Trai in Hai Phong City, Vietnam. From the moment I stepped through the doors, Aui Nguyen Trai felt like a calm exhale in the middle of the city’s lively rhythm. The location is spot-on—close enough to Hai Phong’s cafés, markets, and landmarks for easy wandering, yet tucked just enough off the main flow to stay quiet at night. The rooms are bright, thoughtfully laid out, and impeccably clean; little details—good water pressure, comfortably firm mattresses, and reliable Wi-Fi—made it effortless to settle in after a day out. Service is where the hotel truly shines. Staff were warm without being overbearing, quick with local tips, and genuinely proactive—everything from a smooth check-in to helping with rides and recommendations felt easy and human. Public spaces are tidy and modern, and the overall vibe is understated—more “well-curated haven” than flashy boutique, which I loved. Value for money is excellent; you get the kind of comfort and consistency that usually costs more. If you’re visiting Hai Phong for work or a quick city break before heading to the islands, this is a place that makes travel feel simple—in the best possible way. I’d gladly stay here again."
"Overall, if there are any issues encountered, the hotel manager will respond quickly and take appropriate action. For example, when I mentioned that the WiFi signal was weak and unstable during check-in, the hotel manager arranged for a room change. Upon inquiry, I discovered that the room allocation and distance would affect WiFi reception. The hotel staff then suggested that for future stays, I could make a note requesting a room with better WiFi reception. This stay from October 3rd to October 9th was also quite good. Unfortunately, my wife and I only learned about the hotel's structural issues on October 7th, and since my wife had too much luggage, we didn't want to change rooms again. We will be staying again soon in the future."

"Very spacious room with a convenient kitchen and a large refrigerator! It was very pleasant and cozy to spend time here! Internet is excellent! You can watch any entertainment content on TV. And how comfortable and wide the bed is! I slept just great! The view from the window was very good."
"The home was pretty good and clean, very relaxing being alone. I was in Hai Phong for 3 days and felt very lucky to have booked a decent home. I was so busy having fun that I forgot to take pictures of the room and only remembered to leave a review now."

AAnonymous UserClean hostel well located 5 minutes from the bay + very friendly staff
GGuest UserNice hotel well located near the center but still in a quiet area. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and professional. The breakfast was good with a wide choice of Asian and western style food. Overall, really satisfied with my stay I would recommend it to friends and family.
GGuest UserEven the hotel was well maintained and everything was quite new, the location is a bit far away (you can rent bikes on the hotel, for a very reasonable price) Since it was tet festival in Vietnam, the breakfast was limited, the woman didn’t speak English, but she was very nice!
KKarsten YuenReview for View Point Anh Quan Hotel, Cat Ba I recently had the pleasure of staying at the View Point Anh Quan Hotel in Cat Ba, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, which provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the pier and close to Cat Co beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with stunning views from both my balcony and the rooftop cafe. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was truly a highlight of my trip. The staff at the hotel were exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. They helped arrange transportation from Hanoi to Cat Ba and even organized a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay for me. Breakfast at the hotel was enjoyable with a variety of options available, including made-to-order eggs that were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt welcoming and homely, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend View Point Anh Quan Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Cat Ba!
