The décor was modern yet cozy, and the apartment was equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay – from a fully stocked kitchen to fresh linens and fast Wi-Fi. The location was perfect, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to explore the area. Despite being central, the apartment was very quiet at night, so I slept really well. The host was also fantastic – responsive, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations or questions. Their attention to detail really made me feel welcome. Overall, this apartment felt like a home away from home, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again on my next trip. "The location is a big plus. It's right by a subway exit, with MixC City just next door, offering plenty of dining options. The facilities are decent, though they feel a bit dated and the lighting is quite dim. It comes equipped with a washing machine, a fridge, and kitchen facilities. Cleanliness was just average."

"The location of the hotel is magnificent, close to many attractions and in the highly developed Shinan District. Mixc is just downstairs!!!. The room itself has a nice ambience and atmospheric vibe to it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very clean, and the rooms are immaculate. "The room was impeccable, featuring a stunning floor-to-ceiling window with panoramic sea views, a spacious and impeccably clean king-size bed, breathtaking scenery, and a captivating light show at night. The sumptuous breakfast and afternoon tea were truly delightful, and the fruit platter was a particular highlight for my wife. The convenient car service, the manager's dedication and professionalism, and the doormen's thoughtful and attentive service all contributed to an exceptional stay. A huge thank you to all the staff for their exceptional efforts; Haitian truly lives up to its reputation as a 'super five-star' hotel. "Pros: The hotel's location is fantastic – easily walkable from Qingdao Railway Station and directly adjacent to a vibrant pedestrian street with endless shopping and dining options. While the entrance is modest, the hotel houses a good number of rooms. We booked a twin room (one larger, one standard bed), and the complimentary toiletries were of decent quality. Service was pleasant, and breakfast offered a good selection. Breakfast is served at the dumpling restaurant next door, where we also had a delicious, value-for-money lunch – highly recommended! Cons: However, the room was quite small (think budget hotels like Home Inn). The bathroom was also cramped and felt like an afterthought, with an exceptionally loud toilet flush. You'll struggle to fully open even a 20-inch suitcase."

"The hotel boasts a luxurious and elegant lobby, and its prime central location in Qingdao puts it close to May Fourth Square and MixC Mall. Certain floors offer stunning sea views. With Metro Lines 2 and 3 conveniently located right outside the hotel entrance, guests can easily access and transfer to all of Qingdao's attractions, many of which provide free entry for seniors. The hotel staff are highly attentive and promptly resolve any issues. Dining options include Chinese, Western, and Japanese restaurants, where the set menus offer great value for money. This hotel is truly the best choice for anyone visiting Qingdao."

"We were given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. The room was very spacious, and the service was excellent. For families traveling with kids, having laundry facilities available was incredibly convenient. The breakfast area was very clean and well-maintained; it would have been even better with a wider variety of options. The hotel's location is also very convenient for getting around, with easy access to Metro Lines 2 and 3, plus various bus routes. One minor issue was the low water pressure in the bathroom and slow drainage, which might be due to ongoing renovations."

"## Location: The location is incredibly convenient: just across the traffic light from the Zhongshan Road subway station exit, right on the main street. Taxis are also easy to hail. With public transport (bus and subway) right at the doorstep, getting anywhere is effortless. Zhanqiao Pier is also within walking distance, and the stroll there is quite pleasant, allowing you to admire the architecture and browse the small shops along the way. Just a heads-up, during hot weather, it's wise to stay cool. ## Environment: The courtyard itself is very quiet. Surrounding it are many small shops, accessible through a back gate from the courtyard – just knock and you can step right in to explore them, which was a fantastic feature. We'd read reviews suggesting ground-floor rooms are more convenient, so we booked one. However, the garden-style courtyard made it a bit challenging to wheel our luggage. But the front desk staff (the young gentlemen, in particular) were incredibly helpful, always carrying our bags in and out. Our suitcases were quite heavy, so we were truly grateful for their assistance! ## Stay Experience: The bedding was quite comfortable, although the pillows were a bit too soft. It would be ideal to have both a soft and a slightly firmer pillow option to cater to different preferences. The air conditioning kept the room refreshingly cool, but it seemed to lack a dehumidifier function (or we couldn't find it), making the room feel a bit too damp. Clothes hung out in the courtyard took a while to dry, but having a washing machine to pre-spin them helped a bit. Each room has its own private courtyard perfect for tea and conversation; on hot days, we simply moved our tea setup just outside our door, which was equally pleasant. We did notice a slight odor in the bathroom, but after mentioning it to the front desk, they promptly cleaned it again for us. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable, and we would definitely choose this place again on our next visit to Qingdao. The people of Shandong are genuinely warm, friendly, and talkative – they never showed any signs of annoyance, which we truly appreciated!"

"A wonderful and cozy hotel with a perfect location! I had a fantastic stay here. The property is beautiful, the breakfasts are great, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find a coffee maker in my room—it made my mornings perfect. The best part is the incredible location. The hotel is just a short walk from the beautiful seaside promenade, where I enjoyed lovely walks and watched stunning sunsets every evening. It was also incredibly convenient to be able to easily walk to major sights like May Fourth Square and the Olympic Sailing Center. I had such a positive experience that I am already planning to stay here again on my next trip! 🌸🌸🌸"

"For my trip to Qingdao, I was looking for a hotel with convenient access to transportation, shopping, and dining. After reading numerous traveler reviews, I opted for the newly opened Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square branch). The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, and the cleanliness was also quite good. The facilities were comprehensive. Although there wasn't a direct sea view, the city lights at night were still dazzling. Breakfast was plentiful, offering local specialty snacks that tasted great. Even with many guests staying, everything remained quite orderly. A notable feature: The laundry room was a very popular spot, often with queues forming. The hotel site originally served as the Qingdao Workers' Sanatorium, which I personally believe contributes to its 'quiet oasis in a bustling city' feel. Downside: As some other guests have mentioned, the shower water temperature would occasionally fluctuate between hot and cold, and the water spray was too dispersed. I hope this can be improved."
