This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to give a hotel a positive review, mainly because Ms. Bianca's service was absolutely amazing! The day before we arrived, she proactively contacted us to ask about our needs. When she learned we were traveling with a baby, and since the hotel couldn't provide a bed rail, she upgraded our room and arranged for two beds to be pushed together. Every evening before we returned to the hotel, there was turn-down service, with water replenished, and the room was cleaned twice a day, so it was always spotless and tidy when we got back – it truly made us feel great! For deliveries and takeout, after contacting the hotel, the concierge would bring them directly to our room; the service was incredibly attentive! They never seemed bothered and always greeted us with a smile. We rented an electric car after landing in Kunming, and there are charging stations in the underground parking at Spring City 66, very close to the hotel!
The freshly baked flower pastries at breakfast were absolutely divine! Better than any I've bought elsewhere!!! The latte art in the coffee was so therapeutic! I travel frequently for business and leisure, and I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but I've only seen latte art at breakfast once before, at a hotel in Singapore! They also had freshly made Eggs Benedict! Our child loved the colorful glutinous rice – the chicken noodle soup was just so-so.
When our child vomited in the middle of the night, we contacted room service, and they changed the sheets and duvet covers very quickly! At 3 AM, we took our child to the nearby Kunming Children's Hospital, where he was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis and put on an IV drip. I contacted Bianca to ask if we could have a late checkout. The front desk had initially said 2 PM, but Bianca, considering our little one hadn't slept all night, proactively offered to extend it to 4 PM! This gave us ample time to rest and pack. Being in a different city with a sick child and experiencing such thoughtful service truly made us feel grateful! We will definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again next time we're in Kunming! Thanks again to Ms. Bianca! 🌹

GGuest UserI rarely write any reviews, but my stay at the Doubletree was extremely worth documenting.
Coming out of a 24 hour long trip, this hotel and its staff Yedda, Daisy, Jack and Mr. Wang immediately made me feel home!
First of all, arranging airport pick up was extremely smooth. Mr. Wang waited for me patiently at a clearly instructed parking place, so there was no confusion.
Next, as soon as I arrive at the hotel, there were staff members helping me with the suitcase and guiding me to check in. Then Yeda and Daisy showed their extreme hospitality by providing an amazing room on a higher floor with a view, helped me charging my phone, providing me with freshly baked welcoming snacks. And Jack walked me through on connecting my phone and laptop to the hotel WIFI. Due to my work schedule, they’ve accommodated me with late checkout. Room is huge and clean with full amenities.. even a scale!
And yes! I ate both of the rice noodle dishes!!
Thank you for going above and beyond taking care of me on this short trip.. I’ll be back and will looking forward to seeing Mr. Wang, Yedda, Daisy, and Jack again soon!

GGuest UserI've stayed at this hotel twice now, and the service, facilities, and even the meditation classes have consistently been excellent. The hotel's ambiance and scent create a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere, and the green views from the windows and the design are incredibly relaxing. All the staff members are exceptionally kind and friendly, always greeting you. I particularly appreciate the hotel's cultural offerings and the thoughtful little details – they've put a lot of care into them. The breakfast is delicious too. Location-wise: across the road is Daguan Park and Yuyuan, perfect for a morning stroll. There are also dedicated cycling and running paths right outside the hotel. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride to Haigeng Dam, and Cuihu Lake isn't too far either. Overall, it offers great value for money; it's healing, quiet, and truly feels like a home away from home.

LLijuan ♪(^∇^*) This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with a Southeast Asian decor style. The front desk staff were very responsive to all my requests. They even allowed a late check-out when my plans changed unexpectedly. I'm very grateful and had a very satisfying stay.

GGuest UserOur stay at InterContinental Kunming was exactly what you would expect from a true five-star international luxury hotel. The property is beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and offers a peaceful resort-like atmosphere that feels like a welcome escape from the bustle of the city.
The grounds are stunning, especially with the beautiful jacaranda flowers in bloom, which made the hotel even more picturesque. The breakfast selection was excellent, with a wide variety of quality options to start the day.
What truly stood out, however, was the Concierge team. I would especially like to thank Mr. Smulin and the entire team for their outstanding professionalism and dedication. Prior to our arrival, they assisted with receiving several packages on our behalf. When an issue arose involving a missing package, Mr. Smulin and team went above and beyond to help track it down, coordinate the recovery process, and even arrange for it to be forwarded to another hotel on our itinerary.
This level of service is rare and demonstrates genuine care for guests. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to helping us resolve the issue made a huge difference to our trip.
Thank you to Mr. Smulin and the entire Concierge team for your exceptional hospitality. I would gladly recommend InterContinental Kunming to anyone visiting Kunming and would not hesitate to stay here again.

LLiuxingyufeifeiSo glad I chose this hotel! Liruide Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Its location is fantastic, just a short walk from Cuihu Park (unlike many other hotels that claim to be near but are much further). There are also countless excellent restaurants and shops nearby, offering plenty of choices.
The hotel itself is superb. Being on a high floor, the Sky Bar and restaurant on the 19th floor offer panoramic views of Cuihu Park and the beautiful cityscape of Kunming. If you book a lake view room, you can enjoy the stunning views of Cuihu Lake right from your room, which was a wonderful surprise. The hotel's decor, with its strong contrast of classic black, red, and grey, feels modern, stylish, and tasteful from the moment you step into the lobby. I especially loved the ”ENJOY IT” neon signs in the lobby and restaurant; indeed, you can truly enjoy all the beauty Liruide has to offer.
My room, though not large, was incredibly comfortable. The bedding ensured a good night's sleep. It was spotlessly clean, and the shower had great water pressure and hot water, draining super fast (many hotels struggle with drainage, but Liruide nailed this detail). The smart toilet was a nice bonus. While breakfast wasn't lavish, it featured local Yunnan specialties and was more than sufficient. A freshly made rice noodle roll with a generous topping of braised meat was the perfect way to start a day full of energy.
What truly touched me was the friendly and thoughtful staff. After checking out, I had a video conference in the lobby, and a staff member specially lowered the lobby music volume for me and kindly brought a bottle of water. A huge thank you to Mr. Curry at the front desk for his meticulous service. Your kind and warm attention made us feel as comfortable and wonderful as if we were home, which is a rare treat for those of us constantly on the go.
Oh, and the rose petal shortbread offered at check-in was absolutely delicious! The rich rose fragrance bloomed in my mouth with just the right touch of sweetness – unforgettable. For parking, you can drive onto the sidewalk, inform the front desk, and a staff member will immediately valet park your car. After a two-day stay, my experience was simply perfect. The next time I'm in Kunming for business, I'll definitely book here in advance to enjoy it all again.

Parking is exceptionally convenient, with ample spaces available. The rooms are clean, tidy, spacious, and well-lit, making them very comfortable to stay in. They are perfect for families. The prices during the off-season are truly excellent value for money. Special mention must be made of Tara, the front desk attendant, who provided warm and attentive service. The breakfast was also very generous, offering a wide variety of both Chinese and Western-style options, ensuring that both adults and children could enjoy their meals. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and we will choose this place again in the future.

WWELLCzThis is a well-established five-star hotel in the area, once famous as Kunming's tallest building. During my holiday travels, I passed through Kunming and was deciding between a hotel in a scenic area and the Grand Park Hotel. Considering the potential noise in the scenic area, I chose the latter, and I'm so glad I made that smart decision.
The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. We had a lot of luggage, and we were fortunate enough to get an upgrade to a corner suite, which completely alleviated our concerns about space.
Both the public areas and the rooms are decorated in a simple yet elegant and stylish manner. The materials used are solid, and the maintenance is impeccable, so it doesn't feel old at all. It truly lives up to its five-star rating.
The room offered expansive views, excellent soundproofing, and was spotlessly clean. The bedding was comfortable and soft against the skin, and the hot water supply was quick and abundant. Coming back after a day of sightseeing and enjoying a relaxing bath in the tub was just perfect.
The location is right next to a subway station, with a direct one-stop ride to the high-speed rail. To the north, it's just one transfer to the Wuyi Road scenic area and commercial district, and to the east, one transfer to the airport. Taxis are also very convenient.
The hotel's facilities are comprehensive. My trip was rushed this time, so I didn't have a chance to experience the pool or other amenities. If I get the opportunity to visit Kunming again, I will definitely choose Grand Park Hotel!

The whole stay was so great, the brft was superb with many choices to choose from.
The location was also easily accessible via the L3 Tuodong Stn which is just ard the corner of the hotel.
Everything is so great about this hotel and we were upgraded too!!!
