SSherSHAWA great and comfortable hotel!
Location: The hotel is directly opposite Daguan Park and Yu Garden, so we could start exploring right after checking in on the first day! It's also a quick taxi ride to Cuihu Park/Jiaochang Middle Road, usually around 20 minutes. It's about 45 minutes from the airport and roughly 40 minutes from Dounan Flower Market.
Ambiance: Located by Dianchi Lake, it's very quiet overall. The room was incredibly clean, equipped with smart home devices, and ordering takeout was super convenient. We could order things like 'Zhen Tan Fried Chicken' or 'Shang Shan He Cha' (tea) and a robot would deliver them to our room. The hotel also offers sound bowl meditation classes in the evening, which I tried and found very therapeutic~
Service: The service was excellent. The staff at the front desk were all very kind and gentle. They even proactively helped us with our luggage when we took a taxi to the airport, which was incredibly helpful. Plus, breakfast runs until 10:30 AM and offers both Chinese and Western options. During my two-day stay, I tried the rolled noodles and rice noodles, both were delicious, and I especially loved the accompanying mushrooms.
Overall, a very satisfying trip! I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Kunming, haha!

AAnonymous UserOur butler, Bianca, was incredibly warm and attentive. She anticipated our needs and even gave a souvenir to my child. A huge bonus was not having to go downstairs to pick up food deliveries; the concierge brought them directly to our room! The hotel's central location is perfect, directly connected to the Plaza 66 mall. On days with bad weather, we could easily pop over to the mall for some shopping. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Kunming!

MM334838****I booked this for my family's trip to Yunnan. I chose this hotel again because I thought the decor and cleanliness were quite good, and they offer spacious two-bedroom suites. The staff's service was prompt and enthusiastic. They also provided a detailed explanation and instructions for the wardrobe lighting issue I mentioned last time. The room's facilities and amenities are excellent, with a great sense of space and fully equipped, making it as convenient as staying at home. The hotel is located in the city center's commercial district, making it very easy to get to the surrounding attractions. Overall, this return stay was excellent, and I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for future trips to Yunnan.

LLijuan ♪(^∇^*) This is my third visit this year, and I absolutely love this hotel, even though it's only 30 kilometers from my home. My favorite part is the large balcony, which offers a delightful view of the lake and lush green mountains, with high skies and drifting clouds – it's incredibly peaceful. The evenings are very quiet. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic.

We originally booked a 60-square-meter hot spring king room with a terrace and breakfast. To our surprise and delight, the hotel kindly upgraded us to an even larger room free of charge.
The upgraded room was incredibly spacious. Besides the bedroom, it featured a separate living room, a large balcony, an enormous bathroom, a jetted tub, and a private sauna. The moment we opened the door, we couldn't help but exclaim, ”This is huge!”
The room's design heavily incorporated wood, complemented by high, distinctive ceilings, creating a strong resort vibe. Our favorite areas were the balcony and living room; they felt incredibly open and were perfect for simply relaxing, enjoying tea, or chatting.
After a soak in the jetted tub in the evening, followed by a session in the sauna, all the day's fatigue just melted away. This setup far exceeded our initial expectations.
The hotel's service also deserves praise. While a free upgrade isn't mandatory, it's these extra touches that make guests feel valued and cared for.
The biggest takeaway from this stay is that we booked a hot spring room but unexpectedly enjoyed a suite-level experience. From the room size and facilities to overall comfort, everything was exceptionally satisfying.
I would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation.

LLavinia Ꮤ💐During my stay in Kunming, I chose this hotel renowned for its tropical ambiance. Upon check-in, there were certainly commendable aspects, as well as a few minor disappointments, which I'll honestly document for fellow travelers' reference.
🌴The hotel's most captivating feature is its environment. The lush, layered greenery gives the distinct impression of being in a tropical garden. The space is expansive, and the rooms are quite spacious with a well-designed layout, making for a very comfortable stay. Although it's been open for some years, it's evident that maintenance is meticulous; the walls, floors, and furniture are kept clean and tidy, with no signs of age. The vibrant green foliage is abundant, with winding paths creating a serene atmosphere. Being here feels like escaping into a quiet, hidden sanctuary deep within the city, far from the hustle and bustle, with the evening breeze rustling through the trees, gentle and relaxing.🍃
🏋🏻♀️I also want to specifically mention the fitness center and swimming pool. Their size is uncommon for hotels of this type, with a full range of equipment and crystal-clear pool water, making for an invigorating swim. The changing room facilities are also well-equipped. For those who regularly exercise, these are definite bonus features.
☔️However, during this stay, I also encountered a few minor disappointments. What was particularly disheartening was the lack of appropriate service etiquette. The hotel's greeting service seemed subjectively biased, treating guests inconsistently. I observed other arrivals being greeted with polite welcomes and gentle assistance with their luggage, while upon my arrival, no one inquired or assisted me. This disparity, the absence of a warm greeting or help, subtly diminished the initial excitement I felt upon entering the hotel.
Furthermore, for me personally, the mattress was too soft, and the pillow height wasn't ideal, leading to some shoulder and neck discomfort after a night's sleep. The comfort level definitely didn't meet my expectations.
Also, my friend arrived before me, and the room they were initially assigned had a leaking ceiling, possibly due to old facilities in some rooms. While the hotel promptly addressed it, I still hope that housekeeping can thoroughly inspect rooms before assigning them to guests.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center next to Cuihu Lake, and very convenient for reaching the main shopping malls. GGuest UserMy stay at the Sofitel Kunming with a Dianchi Lake view room was absolutely perfect! The high-floor, panoramic French windows offered stunning views – during the day, I could see Dianchi Lake and the Western Hills in the distance, and in the evening, the sunset painted the lake beautifully. The nighttime city lights were incredibly soothing. The room's French-style soft furnishings were elegant, and the MyBed bedding was so soft and comfortable for sleeping. The bathtub with a view, paired with Lanvin toiletries, created a fantastic atmosphere for a relaxing soak while enjoying the scenery. Young at the front desk provided thoughtful service and handled check-in efficiently. The room was clean and odor-free. The hotel's location is convenient, and it has excellent facilities including a heated swimming pool and a high-altitude restaurant. The French design blended with Yunnan characteristics makes this view room the top choice for a vacation in Kunming. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThis is my second stay at the Goodview Hotel, and I'm once again impressed by their service and attention to detail. The location is incredibly convenient, whether you're driving or taking the subway, flying or arriving by high-speed rail.
**Facilities:**
The environment is elegant and clean, and the bedding quality is excellent. All facilities are well-maintained, and the hotel lobby is beautiful and perfect for photos.
**Service:**
The front desk staff are professional and meticulous. Check-in and check-out are handled quickly and efficiently, and any requests are promptly addressed.
**Room:**
The suite's window view has always been my favorite reason for choosing Goodview. You can see the distant skyline and a panoramic view of Kunming city – a wonderful experience without even leaving the room.

GGuest UserThe location is pretty good, close to Plaza 66, about an 8-minute walk. The hotel's concierge service was good; staff were always there to greet us multiple times when we entered and exited. We booked connecting rooms, but they were externally connected, not internally. This made it inconvenient, especially when the kids were asleep, as the sound of swiping the card to enter the room was quite loud. So, it wasn't ideal.
The room was too small; the bathroom and shower were cramped together, and there wasn't enough space to turn around. It felt very restrictive.
Breakfast was just average. Not many varieties, but the quality was decent. The freshly squeezed juice was watered down, and the watermelon juice wasn't good.
Overall, I didn't really feel like there was much service.
