It is near the top of the mountain, the scenery is invincible, suitable for friends, family, wedding vacation, food is very good, is the first choice for self-driving, the photo of the lawn side of the building is
First of all, the scenery in Lucerne exceeded my expectations! The hotel is right on the edge of Lake Lucerne, and you can see the scenery when you step out. You can sit downstairs for an afternoon✅
🗺️ Location:
Turn right at the Weggis Pier for 50 meters. There is a bus stop downstairs from the hotel. Go out the hotel front desk and go up the slope to the Rigi cable car. It takes about 8 minutes to climb, so the transportation is very, very convenient!
🏠 Environmental facilities:
The hotel is relatively traditional, not a star-rated hotel. It provides breakfast and has its own restaurant. The rooms are not big and some have terraces, facing Lake Lucerne. It is clean and hygienic.
✅Service attitude:
The boss personally helped to carry the luggage🧳, thank you very much; the sister at the front desk was super nice, check-in was very smooth, and she gave Rigi's travel guide and introduced it in detail, including several routes up the mountain and how long it takes to walk. When I was leaving, I saw my earrings and complimented them on how beautiful they looked. It made me feel good for the day!
The check-in process was really difficult. We arrived at the hotel around 9 PM. The self check-in machine couldn’t find our booking. We called for help and talked on the phone for a long time, but still couldn’t check in. Luckily (and unluckily), some other guests arrived and had the same problem. Because there were more of us, finally a male staff member agreed to come and check the machine.
This staff member kept saying it was our fault – that we entered our name wrong, or that we mixed up the first name and last name. He insisted the machine had worked fine for six months and couldn’t be broken. We tried different combinations of our names many times, but nothing worked. He tried too – and when it still didn’t work, he finally admitted the machine was the problem. Around 11:30 PM, we finally entered the rooms.
The next day, after we explained everything, the very friendly and polite ladies at the front desk kindly gave us a 10% discount. Most things about the hotel were great, and the front desk ladies were super helpful. We fully understand that technical problems happen sometimes, and waiting 2.5 hours to check in was also okay for us. We doNOT blame anyone or anything for that. But what we couldn’t understand was how the staff member insisted it was our fault and how he did NOT believe anything we said, and his attitude was a bit rude when we tried to explain that it wasn’t our fault.
We really liked our stay! The rooms were very spacious and clean , with the perfect amount of amenities. It’s a 40/45 min drive to Luzerne city centre, but we purposely picked a hotel outside cause we wanted to drive around. The room from the view was great too. I’d stay here again!
Maybe it is a good stay for a short trip if you had quiet neighbors. but I was unlucky to have very noisy guests around and it makes hard to have a good rest.
Although it is a bit old, it is well maintained. The room is large and there is no problem opening two large suitcases. Although the hotel is a bit far from the city, the hotel provides free transportation tickets, which makes travel very convenient. You can take the train or bus as you like. The hotel has a parking lot, 14 francs for 24 hours, and you can enter and exit multiple times. You can scan the parking ticket at the front desk every time you leave. The front desk service is very good👍
The location is very remote, it is recommended to drive by car, the scenery is very good, the hotel’s swimming pool is also very nice, suitable for taking pictures but do not allow mobile phones to go in, I don’t know if no one can secretly take pictures when the door is opened in the morning hahaha, the hotel has nothing to eat , It’s best to bring something up from the mountain. There is a small supermarket next to the hotel to buy food. There is also a ski resort behind the hotel. The lift tickets do not need to be purchased in advance. When buying tickets on the spot, remember to tell them that you are going to stay in the store. discount
Mooi hotel en goede ligging. Alleen geen airco en basic ontbijt.

GGuest UserAn Unforgettable Stay! The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered a breathtaking view. Every amenity you could think of was thoughtfully provided, making it feel like a true home away from home. The hotel’s facilities were equally impressive — pristine and relaxing I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

AAnonymous UserA strange thing happened in the early morning. Around 5:40, when we were still sleeping, the doorbell suddenly rang, waking us up. How could someone ring the doorbell so early in the morning? The bell rang for a while and then stopped. Just as we were about to fall asleep, the doorbell rang again. It lasted for a while and then stopped. This time we were completely woken up and felt a little panicked. After all, we were abroad. When the doorbell rang for the third time, we went to the door to see what was going on. As soon as we walked to the door, we heard the sound of someone rushing downstairs in the corridor. Looking out through the peephole, the lights in the corridor were still on and no one was there. There couldn't be a thief. We suddenly lost all sleep and immediately contacted the landlord on WHATSAPP. There was no reply, so we contacted Ctrip customer service. It was not until 19:57 local time that Ctrip customer service contacted the landlord and told us that the hotel's reply was that because the apartment is located in a public area, it cannot control who rings the doorbell. The doorbell was indeed installed in the hallway. The name of the apartment was clearly written on the bottom of the doorbell. There should be no possibility of pressing the wrong button. Moreover, the doorbell should be set up with a doorbell shut-off function like a hotel, otherwise it will seriously affect the normal rest of the guests and make people doubt the safety.
What is worthy of praise is Ctrip's customer service, quick follow-up and responsible attitude.
The apartment is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station and about 5 minutes from the old town. The apartment is located next to a small street, and there are no people on the street at night. There is a double bed and a sofa in the apartment. The double bed is not big, and there is something wrong with the spring. It creaks when it moves.
The kitchen has an oven, refrigerator, and induction cooker. The hand-held shower head and rod are broken, so it can only be held by hand, which is very inconvenient.
XXi XuThe hotel is in a prime location with convenient transportation. The rooms are clean and tidy, very quiet and the scenery is excellent. The service staff is enthusiastic and the facilities are complete and advanced. The experience is very satisfactory and it is very convenient to go anywhere in the old town.
KKCcccccccccCentrally located in a quiet street in the city centre near the main train station ; stylish renovation of the hotel and functional kitchenette in the room I stayed (can you imagine there is a dish washer in the room ?😂and every day the housekeeper used it for our dirty dishes); laundry room on the first room and cozy cafe on the ground floor; reasonable price considering a Swiss standard; overall, excellent (input the confirmation number from trip.com and your name when you need to do the self check in at the entrance indoors; the door is closed and looks locked but actually you can open it 😂) ; will book it again when coming here in Luzern again ) 👍
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is perfectly beautiful and conveniently close to public transport. This includes the boats which go on various trips on the lake.
Service in the hotel was very good and I would especially like to mention Kenny at reception who was happy to go the extra mile. The food was good and a wonderful breakfast buffet is served. The coffee was good, croissants and bread fresh, a wonderful selection of good quality jam, simply excellent.
For those who wanted, there was even smoked salmon and on certain days, a glass of bubbly!!
Would also like to mention the two ladies who run “breakfast” and keep things clean and fresh. Thank you.
GGuest UserThe location is good, close to the train station and most sightseeing places in Luzern. The receptionists were all friendly and helpful. The only drawback of the hotel is noise levels. There are many restaurants around with outdoor seating so you would hear people chatting all the way till 11 pm. 5AM in the morning there would be loud street cleaning trucks. There was one night some bar nearby had loud drunk people noise till 2AM. There's no AC in the room so you have to leave the window open and deal with all the noises.

RRuishixiaokaiBeautiful and modern structure, located in a quiet area. The environment is elegant, modern and cozy, with a large internal breakfast room, a wide selection of sweet, savory and fresh fruits, and most importantly, a professional, friendly staff, always attentive to the needs of the customer. Very clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Hotel Alpina Luzern! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Lucerne and just a short walk from the train station and iconic Chapel Bridge. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat after exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a warm smile. The hotel’s charm and excellent service made my visit truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and convenience in Lucerne !
