The location is perfect just little more than 5 min from NewCastle Station. The Breakfast buffet is perfect English Breakfast I had in recent times.
I liked the quality of mattresses for comfort sleep. However, cleaning was not perfect when I checked in on first day. I stayed in total two nights.
Overall, comfortable stay for couple of nights!
Although I stayed for one night, the overall experience was good. The environment was quiet, the front desk service was very friendly and kind, the parking and transportation were very convenient, and the breakfast in the morning was very rich and delicious. Next time I go to Newcastle, I will choose this hotel
Lovely big and clean room with city view, smells nice, comfortable lights and pillows. The showers were nice, provided hairdryer, clean towels, shower gels and shampoo etc too!
Great location though a bit of noise audible from the bars around at night. This did seem to ease off after midnight however. Room itself nice and clean, bathroom very nice. The breakfast is just ok but can’t complain if included at the price. Overall would recommend.
The view of the hotel was very nice and pleasant staff are very friendly and the breakfast was included and it was very tasty,, peaceful environment, near the sea side just so beautiful
At Premier Inn Hotel South Shields (Port of Tyne), the buzzing centres of Sunderland and Newcastle are close by, as well as incredible national parks. Whether you're here for work or for pleasure, you'll find there's so much to do. Go for a personal best on the Great North Run. Or get up close and personal with some great surf along the North East's unspoilt coastline. Go back 1300 years at Bede's World. Or catch the very latest bands at the three-month-long South Tyneside Summer Festival. Lovely food awaits at our onsite Taybarns restaurant, as well as our spacious rooms and extra-comfy beds.
We had an amazing stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the breakfast every morning and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely will recommend
We just stayed over night before an early flight next morning.Rooms are quite tired could do with a refurb.Food is good and bar has cheap drinks till 7 pm ,unfortunately although the bed was comfy the pillows were like sleeping on a boulder, they had no others to offer us,would still stay for the convenience.

YYiu Wai RaymondThe location of hotel is nearby the city centre so it is good for visitors. The breakfast was provided by inn was simple but it is very good for visitors to take away for travelling.

GGuest UserStayed in this hotel for a one night business trip stay over. If you’re looking for something with a little character this is a great place to stay . Central Newcastle , right next to the central train station and Metro entrance, a little bit of elegance. A lovely entrance foyer ( decorated with an amazing Christmas tree) with large chandeliers and helpful staff at check in. Finding my room was a bit of an adventure , but part of the charm of a historic building .
My room was clean , quiet , mini fridge , kettle and tea/coffee , tv , surprisingly good bathroom and comfortable bed.
I had a good English breakfast in the morning , and again the staff were lovely.
I thought it was very good value , and I would stay again .

RRyan DavidA really lovely place. Made better by the pleasant and helpful staff.
I rang ahead to ask about parking as I was attending an event and the person who answered the phone couldn’t have been more brilliant.
This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I’ll probably continue to now, having been coming up to Newcastle for 10+ years to visit friends this is probably the most pleasant and well priced place I have stayed in.
I really recommend this place. I much preferred staying on the side of the road to where you check in though which would be my only point for the next time I come up.
GGuest UserStayed here many times with work. Excellent location, super friendly staff and amazingly clean. Great value for money. Restaurant inside and bar which is a little expensive for what it is but there is a pub and carvery across the road (2mins walk).
Parking is free and there is always loads of it. The hotel itself is on a bit of a retail park which can get busy at times but I’ve never struggled to park and I’ve stayed here at least 40 nights since April.
I don’t write reviews to be fair. But credit where it is due.

BBev RussellThe Hotels lovely , the room was comfortable and nicely decorated . Negatives were we had a squeaky bed frame and the you could hear the occupant’s above us walking back and forward back and forward all night. The room would benefit from a king size bed breakfast was great English breakfast was a bit sparse with only one sausage and bacon , but there was continental breakfast available , eggs Benedict were lovely and beautiful views of the garden from the conservatory
