The first room we stayed in had a leaking roof outside the door. The door itself would not close easily and need very strong force. Shower good, aircon good.
We were then quickly moved to Room 2. No aircon (Heatpump). The heater fan was like a 747 winding up for take off, Shower floor tiles very slippery, shower good temp and flow. On the last day the door lock failed completely.
Clearly work is needed as during rain, there were several roof leaks with buckets underneath.
Staff were helpful and communicated well.
The premises are not what they were 40 years ago.
Restaurant food selection rather limited.
Food supplies and drinks especially were low or unavailable.

Great location, right in the city center and close to bars. If you’re ok with noise then it’s a great hotel. We could hear lots of people outside drinking, people in the room next to us all night.
Breakfast was great.
If you are stay for 1 night and are looking for a hotel near the bars then this is a great hotel for you.

The Ibis hotel was perfectly located in downtown Wellington for our needs. We could walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go; close to Te Papa, Cuba St, and the train station. The hotel rooms seem a little dated in decor, but it was all clean and comfortable. The rooms are quiet at night and offer black out curtains for late sleepers. When we went, they had a full Uruk-hai costume on display in the lobby and my LOTR heart loved it! A downside was that parking was expensive (45NZD per day and actually completely booked out when we arrived, so book your hotel parking in advance if needed).

To our surprise, we managed to check in at 8am earlier than the allowed time of 2pm. A lot of eateries are nearby. Within a few minutes on foot, there is a shuttle point for pickup for the interisland ferry as well as metro train station.
Disadvantage: smelly room
Arrived early but were able to put our bags into storage till our room was ready.
Room was clean and had everything we needed. Beds comfy.
Great breakfast 😊
Overall very happy with our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room is so good every thing is fine but expect the wifi connection is really bad. Slow sometimes is not working that the problem but everything is so perfect thanks alot🥰

There is no chair in the basic room! The room is also very small! One more thing, the wind in Wellington is particularly strong. We live on the top floor and obviously feel the house shaking at night ~~ Cowards probably can't sleep
But the location is very good, next to the city center, the airport bus station is also nearby, and there is an Asian supermarket opposite the Korean one.

刘刘Hotel location is very good, in the center of Wellington, the parking lot is on the upper floor, to go up a steep slope, parking fee 15 NZ / day. The interior decoration is a bit antique and has a sense of history. The downside is that I arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve, and the front desk was closed (should be at 7 pm), saying that I sent an email to me, but I didn't find it in fact. Still the cleaning guy, contacted me, opened the key box, and got the key.

BBessem SaraiThe location is excellent, the bus to the airport and key places are just infront of the hotel. Taco bell and AbraKEBABra (best kebab) and other eatery surround the place from Chinese, Italian, Indian, Turkish, etc.
Cuba Street, Courtenay, Lambton Quay are within reach.
Definitely the best! Receptionist is not always around but they're just a phone call away.
I hope you can add toothbrush and toothpaste as well.
GGuest UserFirst of all, the entrance is a staircase, so it is difficult to drag a suitcase.
There was a Korean staff member at the desk, and he was very friendly.
There is an elevator, but it is old, so I only used it to move luggage.
I was on the 1st floor, so I felt like I was on the 2nd floor.
There is a musty smell coming from the hallway.
The desk in the room wasn't cleaned and there was food on it.
The worst part was I never wanted to go to the bathroom again.
There are two restaurants, but the one with a kitchen that we can use is the backpacker's kitchen, located past the desk.
It's a little dirty here too
You have to eat at another restaurant.
The overall review is that the staff is friendly and the service is good, but it is very dirty.

GGuest UserMy family and I had an excellent stay. The view was great, our room and our beds were so comfortable. There were plenty of towels for all of us to have showers. The only thing that could improve is the choice of food that is friendly for families, especially for children. But yes was an ideal one night stay.
