The guesthouse is conveniently located near the North Gate parking lot, and the surrounding area is filled with other guesthouses. The owner picked us up upon arrival. I had originally planned to bring my two children and my parents, but my parents had an unexpected commitment and couldn't make it. We ended up with a one-bedroom, one-living-room suite, and the three of us comfortably slept on two spacious *kangs* (traditional heated beds). There was also a large sofa, making it very cozy. We especially loved the charming courtyard. We stayed for three days, and the kids absolutely didn't want to leave! The owner's homemade vinegar was excellent and more affordable than what you'd find on the street. Their recommended shops and restaurants were all excellent. While many say Pingyao is becoming commercialized, we spent three leisurely days here and didn't experience any rip-offs. An electric cart ride within the old town was only 10 RMB per person. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with our trip to Pingyao.

Excellent stay and location near Datong ancient city wall with a lot of food options nearby (must try the sliced noodles, local specialty). Great place to rest after visiting all of the nearby attractions and walking all day. The room is very clean, spacious, bright and well equipped. Additional bonus is that you don’t have to carry a key around since the doors are equipped with combination locks that are customized for your stay. I recommend this hotel and would return on a future trip. Note: There is no front desk or reception and the rooms are spread out in a large multi-story building. Make sure to get in contact with the hotel once you arrive and the manager will meet you at the lobby and take you to your room. If you don’t speak Chinese, having a translation app is also useful.

The guesthouse is perfectly situated within the ancient city, offering a quiet retreat from the bustle while being incredibly close to all attractions. It's super convenient to pop back for a rest after exploring. The owner is exceptionally kind and hospitable. Given our late arrival with elderly family members, he thoughtfully came to pick us up from the parking lot. His travel suggestions were also incredibly helpful. For anyone visiting Pingyao, this guesthouse is absolutely the best choice. The guesthouse is simply wonderful – truly, absolutely wonderful!

The room has floor heating, which is very warm even in the cold winter. The afternoon tea prepared by the housekeeper is a pleasant surprise. The bedding and bathroom are very comfortable, and they also provide a beautiful hair comb. The breakfast is also very nice. In addition, the location of the B&B is excellent, and it is a ten-minute walk from Yong'an Temple and Confucian Temple. In short, if you want a comfortable stay in Hunyuan, I recommend staying here.

This stay at Home Inn was a great experience! The hotel is near the high-speed rail station. It is only a few minutes' walk from the station and it is not difficult to drag luggage. It is very friendly for passengers who are catching a train or transferring. Walking into the hotel, the overall environment is warm and bright. The lobby is simply decorated yet stylish, making people feel very comfortable. The room was even more of a surprise, the hygiene was impeccable! The floor and tabletop are spotless, the bedding is white and soft without any stains or odors, the glass and tiles in the bathroom are polished to a shine, and the toiletries are neatly arranged, making it particularly safe to live here. The breakfast section is a plus, with more variety than you can imagine! There are not only classic Chinese breakfasts such as soy milk, fried dough sticks, and eggs, but also freshly cooked noodles and wontons, paired with a variety of side dishes and seasonings. At the same time, Western light meals such as bread and yogurt are prepared, and hot and cold drinks are available. You can have a full and energetic breakfast with just one meal. What touched me the most was the service, from the enthusiastic and fast check-in at the front desk to the responsive room service, the staff kept a sincere smile throughout the whole process. When I was leaving the hotel, they kindly reminded me to check my belongings. This thoughtful and considerate service really made me feel the warmth of home! With such a high cost-effective hotel, I will choose Home Inn next time I travel!

The hotel offers convenient parking in its own dedicated area, and having free parking for guests is a fantastic bonus. There's direct elevator access to the front desk. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and provided excellent service. The hotel ambiance is lovely, and the soundproofing is excellent. Highly recommended! It was a wonderful stay, and I'll definitely be back.

Hygiene: The room is clean and comfortable, looks relatively new, and the bathroom is large. Service: One pick-up or drop-off is included. There were not many cars on the road at 6 o'clock, and the speed was super fast. It took less than ten minutes to drive to the airport. During the period, I left my phone in the car and it was returned quickly. It was really troublesome for the boss. Environment: It is relatively remote, suitable for a night of transit if you want to catch an early flight the next day.

Fantastic value for money. I really liked the room. Shower and bathroom were great. Bed was comfy. The hotel is in a quiet street a little bit outside of the main streets which for me was a big plus. It's not too far away and way quieter. The owner/husband picked me up and dropped me off at the north gate. They have a fridge where you can pay for drinks per qr code. 2 water bottles a day for free in the room. The wife gave me a map with explanations and an itinerary idea. Super nice! Improvement ideas: - Water refill from a big jug to safe on plastic - English explanation on how to book the Pingyao 3 day ticket on WeChat (I figured it out myself but a small guide would be cool) - some way to close blinds so people can't look in without having to shut off all daylight. Would recommend the place and would book again without looking for anything else.
