Location location location! After a long train ride, you probably do not want to travel further to your lodgings. LaTroupe is just across the street from the train station and although beside a busy traffic junction, it’s very quiet.
Also, the team comes up with various programmes in the evening, between 6-8pm. After that, you can head out for dinner as most restaurants open from after 7 or 8pm. Tabernas in touristy spots are open from the morning thru till late though.
It is the third time we stay. The manager is always ready to improve your stay. It is a quiet place with comfortable beds. The cleaning is ten, and the views of the river, a luxury. The village is very quiet in winter; it is a joke. New bathroom and shower.
The front desk was very friendly and kind. The early check-in also received temporary luggage. Early flights and some people checked out, but after all, the Youth Hostel did not provide drinking water, but overall it was satisfactory.
It was a pretty satisfying stay. Internet is very good and the bed/chair are comfortable. Check in was easily arranged too and there was no issues.
Minor negative is that the room is too dark and there is no fridge. - However I guess that is expected with the price.
Most annoyingly this is the first ever hotel I have been where they restrict the internet! Even worse they have the cheek to block certain VPN protocols. Pathetic, too need to use a VPN to fully use the internet! Nanny hotel!
Un séjour bien : staff qui parle espagnol et un peu anglais malheureusement il y a pas de bagagerie, pour l'emplacement c'est à 25 minutes de la gare, bref c'est un hostel propre.
San Jose Sebastian was very high in the hotel and stayed at this hostel.
Each person is assigned a locker that can hold large luggage such as suitcases, and the luggage is managed there. It was good that I didn't have to worry about the noise because it was far from the sleeping space.
The sleeping space was clean and comfortable. Toilets and showers are decent ...
Because it is a hostel, the comfort changes depending on the morals of the guest because it consists of the guest autonomy or the manners of each other. I was scheduled to stay for 3 nights, but the guest who came on the 2 day of my stay smoked in the non-smoking sleeping space, and it was the ventilation port on the bed space? It flows in from the bed, and it smells like cigarettes. I tried to put up with it and search for someone who was smoking, but in the end I couldn't put up with it and rounded it up for 2 nights and moved to another place. Of course, I gave up the hotel price for one night.
When I told the hostel manager, who was it? I thought I would be careful if I knew it. After all, I didn't do anything.

The room has a slightly unusual shape, but it wasn’t an issue at all for a solo traveler. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The location is very convenient, especially for hopping between nearby tapas bars.
An ordinary hotel, everything is ok. A small place with everything good and ordinary, but the price is sky-high. But it is still hard to find a room. Prices in Europe are really out of control.

Very Good
The pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean. The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season. The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages. Local food is excellent. I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.
Loved my stay at Hotel Arriaga! The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of everything and super easy to walk everywhere. The room was clean, modern, and the bed was super comfy. The staff were really lovely and gave us some great tips for local pintxo bars. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, which we appreciated. Small note for light sleepers: ask for a room away from the street, as it can get a bit lively at night (but that's part of the charm of being in a great location!). The WiFi was also a bit spotty at times. Overall, fantastic value for money. Would definitely stay here again for a casual city break! Perfect for: Travelers who want a central spot without the fancy price tag.
Second time I’ve stayed here. Hotel is modern, clean and the location is perfect, just a few minutes from the beach. Hotel staff are always super helpful. Looking forward to returning
I have a great stay! The location is fantastic — just a few steps from the Guggenheim Museum, which made exploring the city super convenient. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable — exactly what we were hoping for. However, there's one detail that could be clearer: the hotel advertises ”private parking,” but in reality, it's a public city parking lot located about 450 meters away. It costs €20 per day, and there is no parking directly at the hotel. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to know in advance.
Get your towel for 3.5eur) It's very clean and nice especially if you are not at the full packed room. Even at Final LE it looked empty, haha. But all the rooms were purchased. It takes time to get the city and back, hostel locates up on the hill. Big canteen with breakfast included: you may have your bun, pack if jam and butter, cocoa or coffee cup, orange juice and corn with milk.
Incredible!! I loved the experience. It's very centrally located, the reception staff is very friendly, and the hotel itself is newly renovated and has an unbeatable aesthetic. The room is clean, cozy, and well-equipped. I 100% recommend this place and will come back again.
I really enjoyed my 1 night here and was very good for a hostel . Beds were comfy and private and bathrooms were lovely and clean . The staff were super helpful and accommodating and was such a social hub with things to do each night and makes it much easier for meeting people while travelling . The breakfast was a great deal too and luggage storage was super helpful . As well as popping in and out of ther hub area even after I had left . Felt very looked after and will be coming back
I contacted Luis via his website to let him know we'd be late checking in and right away, he responded. Within minutes, we were messaging each other on WhatsApp. Luis sent me loads of useful information and helped us get settled. The Pension Joakina is lovely and the whole place is immaculate. I could hear the staff cleaning every morning. The location was brilliant and we were able to walk to all of the places we planned to see. We will definitely go back. David (habitación verde)
