Hotel is at our stop-overnight location. Good spot for star glazing and watching Northern Lights. Bed is comfortable, very quiet at night. Dinner were good and breakfast is moderate.
They allowed us to store our luggage as we arrive early which is very nice.
Very helpful staff on a range of travel information, fantastic. The location beside the harbour beautiful and access to northern lights viewing with excellent staff guidance on where to try. Food delicious for dinner and breakfast. Rooms comfy quite clean and functional, warm shower, hot if you want, good WiFi
Beachfront resort but I only got a skylight. Even the bathroom had a better view. The room had 2 beds but linens were removed for one since I was a solo traveler and only 1 towel was provided. No shoes policy helped keep the house clean. That is very good. I didn’t use the kitchen much except to make tea but seems like it is in good condition. Dishwashing liquid however was in a glass jar instead of pump. It’s strange cos you end up using too much for a small spoon and the jar is very slippery. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent! Hot food along with homemade breads. It was the best breakfast I had in my 2 weeks in Iceland. Location is an hour drive from Egilsstaðir via some mountain pass, gravel roads and along the coast road. The views are breathtaking. But it’s a small town and if you don’t intend to hike around the area then it might not be worth spending so much time getting to and fro your accommodation.
We stayed here in transit for our trip around the ring road. The room was clean and had accommodations for the four of us. The breakfast was a plus and helped us get on with our trip the next day. They have blackout curtains so sleeping wad not an issue. Only detail is we were booked on a half floor were the elevator did not fo directly so we had to go up one floor and then run up some stairs to get to our room.
Hostel for accommodation**** when you pass east of Iceland. There are very well equipped accommodation and several common areas. Clean and comfortable rooms. Malely soundproofed, too noise, the rooms give the living room. The shower is small, the toilets and showers are in the lower floor, which generates people accumulating.
It is still relatively spacious, with a separate bathroom, and the unexpected harvest is that this hotel is very close to the puffin nest. When we arrived, it was almost 10 o'clock in the evening. The front desk little goth waited for us to tell us where to see puffin. It is especially emphasized that you can see thousands of puffin at this time at night. We didn't hesitate to go, sure enough, a lot, but fun
Very very satisfied with the stay. The room is small but there is a sink. There are many public bathrooms and there is no need to queue at all. The staff is good and breakfast is free. The surrounding environment is very beautiful. It is very enjoyable to go nearby in the morning and evening. It is definitely a place to recommend to friends.
Nice hostel with common shared space and kitchen, next to Nettó supermarket. There is a laundromat next door (at the camping place), used with extra fee. 30 mins drive from the Hengifoss

YYee FongAs Aurora chaser, we can observe from inside the room and keep warm while waiting, of course the best angle is still outside the apartment.
Normal sedan car can reach the place despite the road has lots of holes.
One of the shared bathroom is using infrared sensor light which is annoying because inside the shower area, the sensor could not detect my presence, hence it always gets dark in the middle of shower and I have to wave my hand outside the curtain. Nevertheless the bathroom has awesome scenery.
Kitchen are clean when we arrived, but the tools are abit wear off, they are usable though.
