Good
GGuest UserThe hotel location is excellent, right next to Beppu Station – just cross the road from the exit. It has its own hot spring, which is a bit small, but guests can use the hot springs at two other nearby hotels for free. Breakfast is also served at one of those other hotels. The room rate is very affordable for Beppu, offering great value for money.
AAnonymous UserExcellent location with convenient transportation. The place is clean and right by the sea, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shopping malls. The staff are polite and welcoming, the environment is quiet, and it's close to attractions with good facilities.
GGuest UserSuper friendly hostel with lovely dorms, very spacious pods and cute little onsen. Private onsen also available.Free parking was a great perk and staff super friendly
GGuest UserThe location is remote and the transportation is inconvenient. I called the hotel but they didn't answer the phone, so I had to take a taxi. There are not many taxis in Yufuin... It's about 160 yuan...
It's like a small house in the countryside, more suitable for older people to drive by themselves. The surrounding area is very desolate and not recommended for children.
There are about 7-8 households in the whole yard, with a total of 4 private baths, which need to be used with a sign. The outdoor pool is also outdoors, and it's very windy and cold in winter...
Dinner is OK...
AAnonymous UserA great value-for-money option if you're on a budget!
It's right across from Yufuin Station, just a minute's walk away, super convenient. The triple room was clean, a bit small, but it came with a fridge, microwave, and washing machine. The bathroom had a tub and the toilet was separate from the shower, which was really nice. 👍
The rooftop open-air bath gets an extra 100 points! You get to use it privately on a rotating basis, so a family can enjoy it together without strangers. You can even soak late at night.
One thing to note ⚠️ is that it's a self-check-in system, which isn't the most convenient. You need to get a password from the hotel before arrival. You enter the password on a tablet on the second floor, and then it gives you your room number and room access code. Also, check-out is by 10 AM the next day, so you'll need to store your luggage in the lockers at the station across the street.
Overall, it's still a really great place – good location, affordable, and that open-air bath is a huge bonus!
MM475804****The hostess of this B&B is a very neat and tidy lady. She even cleaned our luggage wheels for us and carried our bags upstairs, then reminded me specifically about trash sorting. I was quite diligent about sorting my trash during my two-night stay, which was fine since I'm also very particular about it. Due to the language barrier, on the first night, I went to use the private hot spring and accidentally wore my shoes inside the small cabin. I'll definitely be more careful next time! This B&B is quite clean, and I'd probably stay here again on my next visit!
GGuest UserAlthough the facilities were old, the staff were friendly and the food was good.
The open-air hot springs are especially nice as they are buried in nature.
Eez62This hotel has one of the friendliest reception desk. The elderly uncle manning the front desk was most helpful. When we came back late one night and when the carpark was full. He helped arrange for us to park at the station carpark with no additional costs. And he patiently guided us to the location with a hand drawn map. The local breakfast provided was much enjoyed. Simple fare but it was filling. And it was actually quite enjoyable. Enclosed pictures of our local Japanese breakfast over the 2 days that we stayed in the hotel. The hotel is also within walking distance to the train station. And under the train station there's a supermarket which use super convenient to grab some grocery items for the stay.

GGuest UserAdvantages: 1/In Huaxi Village, the location is excellent, enjoy the tranquil Huaxi Village at night, close to Jinxi Lake. 2/The room is large and the wifi is very fast.
Noteworthy places: 1/checkin The location is not obvious. The road to the hotel is not star-studded in the day. You need to go through the store to get to the room. The shoes you wear are placed on the locker on the basement floor. Change to the hotel slippers on the room, the room is on the second floor, you need to pull your luggage upstairs. The overall feeling is wonderful.
