SiyueqingchengExtremely satisfied! Although the price was a bit high, it was definitely worth it.
First, a special thanks to the short-haired female supervisor at the front desk. She was incredibly warm, patient, and thorough, answering every question we had. My daughter carelessly lost a jacket, and she actively helped us communicate and search for it, and it was eventually found (girls love beauty, and her favorite cosmetics were inside). Other hotel staff were also very welcoming; every staff member we encountered during our stay was able to answer our questions and seriously respond to all our inquiries.
Second, from the moment we entered the resort's reception center, there was always a dedicated hotel staff member guiding us. The most convenient aspect was that, apart from occasional self-funded activities, almost everything else had a dedicated guest channel. When you see the long queues of tourists at the actual sites, you'll realize how friendly and necessary this service is. It saves you a lot of time to enjoy other activities.
Then there's the dining. All three meals were included, and they weren't just some perfunctory, unknown drinks. The main dishes were also very diverse and abundant.
After a day of fun, you could return to the hotel and relax at the bar, enjoying free-flow drinks with a live musician.
Finally, the room wasn't huge, but it was compact and tidy. I had also looked up other hotels in the area at the time, and this one felt excellent. The evening party and fireworks on the island created an amazing atmosphere. Due to the weather, we couldn't experience stargazing in the desert or the sunrise over the sand dunes, or the desert hiking with sound, which was a slight regret.
If our later itinerary hadn't already been fully booked, we definitely would have stayed at this hotel for another two or three days. On the first day, we played at Xiansha Island, and on the second day, Yuansha Island.
In a word: Worth every penny. If your budget allows, I highly recommend this hotel.

Guest UserCleanliness: Even though it's an older, established Chinese brand hotel, the cleanliness has always been exceptionally well-maintained. The room was full of thoughtful touches; as soon as I entered, I noticed the turndown service with milk 🥛, which immediately made a great impression.
Service: The service was exceptionally gentle and friendly, truly making guests feel at home. When the security staff needed to move my car, they were also very polite and courteous, not making me feel uncomfortable at all.
This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Next time I'm in Hohhot, I'll definitely stay here again!

Guest UserStaying at the Shangri-La Hohhot was much better than I expected. The hotel's age doesn't show at all; all facilities are updated and feel brand new. Both the rooms and public areas are impeccably clean. The location is right in the city center, with Qingcheng Park and MixC (The MixC Shopping Mall) just a stone's throw away, and other attractions are also easily accessible, which is very convenient. I loved the room's view. During my two-day stay, both the front desk and room service staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful, making me feel right at home.
The Horizon Club benefits, including the afternoon tea and evening light meals, are definitely worth trying; I really enjoyed chatting with the ladies serving there. The breakfast spread is rich and of excellent quality. Besides the regular buffet, they also offer famous local shaomai and authentic Mongolian dishes, which I highly recommend.

KaixinjialaomaThis was my first time visiting Hohhot, and I chose this hotel based on the good reviews on Trip.com and my trust in Mandarin's quality. I booked a 6-night stay, but unfortunately, the hotel's service philosophy and staff were quite disappointing. First off, daily room amenities weren't consistently replenished, and the breakfast service was particularly bad. I arrived at the restaurant at 9:35 AM (they close at 10 AM) and couldn't find any fried eggs. When I asked a staff member if there were any, she said no. I then pointed out that breakfast time wasn't over yet and asked her to make some, and she looked very unwilling. When I then asked for three, she loudly exclaimed, 'Why three?!' I responded, 'We're a family of four, is there a problem with asking for three fried eggs?' This was my first time encountering such a poor attitude at a five-star hotel. Also, during the buffet breakfast, there were never any staff members reminding guests when closing time was; instead, as soon as the time came, they would quickly turn off the lights and clear the food. The experience was extremely poor, especially considering it was peak travel season during the summer.

Guest UserThe hotel's exterior is grand and impressive, especially at night when it's beautifully lit up. The room itself was well-equipped, clean, and the bedding was very comfortable, leading to an excellent night's sleep. The breakfast was rich and varied, featuring Inner Mongolian specialties like lamb offal soup, milk tea hotpot, and shaomai. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

SobiukemisuThe room was clean and comfortable, and being on a high floor, the view was great! There was even a fan station with concert support cards, and the service attitude was super good! However, on the first morning, I was woken up at 9 am by the engineering department knocking on the door, and then again after 10 am when they delivered fruit and dairy products… Such a shame, especially since I'm lactose intolerant 😅😅 Well, thank you anyway, haha!

Traveling with my child during the summer for the first time in Inner Mongolia, I unexpectedly had to work overtime, pulling all-nighters and dealing with travel fatigue, which led to a bout of acute enteritis. Thankfully, I chose this hotel. Both the facilities and services are excellent, especially the staff – they are incredibly thoughtful and enthusiastic. They truly consider guests' needs, from recommending dining and entertainment to helping with extending my stay, it was very comforting. The room was also very comfortable; my child and I slept until almost noon, getting some much-needed rest. Thumbs up! 👍

XinjingzhishuiThe hotel is located near Hohhot Railway Station. There was some traffic congestion around the hotel due to ongoing construction, but other than that, everything else was very satisfactory. The room facilities and equipment were complete, though a bit old, but very well-maintained. The bedding was clean and odorless. Both the front desk staff and floor service staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a welcome gift upon check-in. The breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection, combining Chinese and Western options, along with local specialties like shaomai and lamb offal soup, which I highly recommend 👍👍👍. The service staff were also excellent, providing proactive service, which is rare these days and a definite plus. The hotel also offers outdoor garden BBQ. The surrounding area has a wide variety of dining options, and the shopping mall is quite upscale. It's not too far from tourist attractions, and all are easily accessible by subway, which is very convenient.
Suggestions: The number of TV channels in the room was a bit limited, and the signal was somewhat disappointing.
Otherwise, it met my expectations, and I recommend it!

My recent stay at the Howard Johnson Plaza Erdos (Civic Center Branch) for my trip to Ordos far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it. The hotel is conveniently located near the Civic Center, making it easy to get around for appointments. The surrounding area is quiet and clean, offering a peaceful retreat in the midst of the city, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The lobby boasts an elegant and grand design, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, the process was efficient and smooth. Any requests were handled promptly, which made for a very comfortable experience.
The room itself was spacious and well-designed, with good natural light and ventilation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, leading to an excellent night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and odor-free, with stable hot water and a full range of toiletries. The facilities were well-maintained; the air conditioning and internet worked perfectly, showing great attention to detail. The breakfast spread was extensive, a mix of Chinese and Western options, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors, catering to various tastes.
The hotel as a whole was spotlessly clean, and the soundproofing was excellent. The value for money is top-notch in the area. It's an ideal choice for both business travelers and families. The service, environment, and comfort all met my satisfaction, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Ordos.

Guest UserTreat this place more as an attraction than just accommodation, and you'll be very satisfied, mainly because the kids loved it.
The hotel is located within the Matryoshka Doll Scenic Area. The lobby was packed with tourists, all doing travel photography, and it definitely made for great pictures. However, the accommodation area is very well-managed, providing guests with a relatively quiet and private space. Taking photos upstairs and in the room was also lovely. Breakfast offered a rich variety, the food was great, and the service was good too. When our room ran out of water, they immediately brought a whole pack of bottled water. All the room amenities were Matryoshka doll-themed, which the children absolutely adored. The curtains provided excellent blackout, and it was very quiet at night.
We booked a hotel package which included scenic area tickets, handled by a dedicated ticketing center. The lady at the ticketing center provided excellent service, explaining everything in detail. We also managed to book the revolving restaurant at the National Gate Scenic Area with a discount, which was very convenient for dining and sightseeing during peak season.
Just a quick note on the scenic area itself: The hotel package included admission to all attractions except the Ferris wheel, which required an extra fee. For the popular circus show, it's best to arrive an hour early during peak season to secure a seat. There are no designated areas or early entry benefits for hotel guests at any of the attractions. While there's a 'guest通道' (guest passage), it doesn't offer any real advantage, which is a bit disappointing compared to other theme parks that often provide more benefits to their hotel guests. During peak season, various park buggies saw a significant price increase. The signage and visitor flow in the park were very unclear, leading to a lot of walking back and forth, which was a really poor experience.
