One of the standout features of this hotel is the efficiency of the staff. The check-in and check-out processes were super fast, which is always appreciated after a long day of travel. Additionally, the hotel provides free parking, a major plus for those of us driving in KK where parking can often be a challenge. The accommodations were excellent. Both the room and the toilet were spotless, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout my stay. I also appreciated that they were generous with essentials—there was sufficient drinking water provided, so I never felt the need to constantly request more. Breakfast at the hotel was a pleasant experience. While the quality of the food was nice, I did find the variety a bit limited and hope they can provide more choices in the future to keep the buffet exciting. However, the absolute highlight of the morning was the fresh juice station. It is easily the best part of the breakfast service; you can request specific fruits, and the staff prepares the juice freshly for you right on the spot. It’s a personalized touch that really elevates the meal.

The hotel upgraded our room directly because part of it was under renovation, and they even added an extra bed for free. It was clean and hygienic, with excellent service and even Chinese-speaking staff. The breakfast was plentiful, the gym had a great atmosphere, and the sunset views were absolutely stunning. Highly recommended!

I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, and I truly appreciated their kindness and understanding in allowing us to check in early without having to wait until 1:00 PM, especially considering my child needed proper rest after undergoing surgery. The hospitality shown by the team made a challenging situation much easier for our family, and for that, I am sincerely grateful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment for recovery. The breakfast was absolutely excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options and great quality food. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable.

Our private family stayed here for 4 nights from the first day of our Kota Kinabalu trip, and we are sincerely grateful for the wonderful service and warm welcome we received. In particular, the front desk service was excellent. They not only answered our questions accurately and empathetically, but they also went above and beyond, handling issues that might not typically fall under their duties with incredible attention to detail. Thank you very much. The facilities show their age but are well-maintained. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to A Street, and you can easily walk to supermarkets, convenience stores, a laundromat, and even grab some light snacks. The parking was also very convenient; once our license plate was registered, we could enter and exit as many times as we wanted. Although the capacity wasn't huge, we never had trouble finding a spot during our 4-night stay. The hotel breakfast was delicious, and the menu varied slightly each day. The only regrettable point was that the male floor manager, or whoever was in charge of the breakfast area, seemed to lack a bit of respect for women and children. (For example, after my husband went back to the room, he bumped into my daughter's chair without a word, and then started giving loud instructions to the staff right next to our table, which we found a bit bothersome.)

I booked this Loft thinking it was like any other Loft that i’ve stayed before. But this here, exceeded my expectations by 100%! Le Meridien KK, thank yoy for the best stay i’ve ever had in my life. A very very big thank you to Natalie & Elvinna at the Club Lounge and to Herna for the swift and fuss free check-in/check out. I will be planning to try the executive suite on my next visit. Thank you!

The hotel's location is excellent, just a ten-minute drive from the airport. Our sea-view room (7326) on the third floor had a balcony directly overlooking the ocean and a lawn, offering great views from the room itself. It was quiet and not crowded, as this building only has five floors. The downsides: the breakfast wasn't good, not really catering to a Chinese palate. Also, there isn't much of a beach next to the hotel; it's very small, mostly just a coastal boardwalk. Overall, it offers good value for money and a true holiday vibe. If you want to catch the sunset at Shangri-La, it's not a far taxi ride. I would still highly recommend it.

Service: Absolutely fantastic! They provide complimentary waterproof phone pouches, raincoats, eye masks, and other little essentials. Plus, there are free iced drinks and, best of all, free laundry service – perfect for a trip to Sabah! The laundry is super fast too, and the housekeeper is very responsive to guests' needs. Facilities: Not great, actually. The space is small, and the apartment design has some issues. The shower stall has a tiny bathtub that's neither comfortable for a bath nor spacious enough for a shower. And the sink is a nightmare – water splashes everywhere the moment you wash your hands, so it feels like you're washing your hands and feet at the same time. Environment: It's an apartment within the Imago mall. Plane noise is quite noticeable, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're a light sleeper. Since everyone takes taxis around here, convenience of transportation isn't really an issue. There's also a fish noodle restaurant in the mall that wasn't very good. Cleanliness: Good. It was clean and tidy, with no visible stains.

For my friend's birthday, I emailed the hotel in advance, tentatively asking if a suite upgrade was possible. To my surprise, when we checked in, the room was beautifully decorated with balloons, a handwritten birthday card, and a lovely birthday cake – absolutely amazing and thoughtful! We were both incredibly surprised and delighted. The hotel is right by the sea, and the entire suite was very spacious and comfortable. The sea-view room, in particular, offered a fantastic view (you can directly watch the sunset!), making our two-day stay perfectly comfortable. I also have to commend the hotel's restaurant; I didn't have high expectations for hotel dining, but we were blown away by both meals. Oh, and if you get the chance, do check out the bar on the 23rd floor. Thanks to the dedicated hotel team, our trip was made truly unforgettable, and the experience was top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values quality accommodation! We'll definitely be back if we get another chance!

Before coming here, I saw a lot of hotel horror stories on Xiaohongshu, but after checking in, I found it wasn't as bad as some people made it out to be. The hotel staff were quite friendly. The breakfast wasn't particularly amazing, but there was a good variety of options. The room facilities, especially the bathroom, are indeed a bit old, but overall it's acceptable. There's a small beach behind the hotel and also a swimming pool with shallow water, which is fine for kids. There's a restaurant by the beach, but it's very expensive and not very tasty. Overall, the experience was decent.

Although the room rate dropped on the day of check-in, making it two thousand cheaper than my original booking, I contacted customer service and they immediately refunded the difference. Overall, the hotel is pretty good. I swam for three days. Honestly, the breakfast didn't quite meet Marriott's usual standards. The pleasant surprise was finding out I had a partial sea view room.

KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.

GGuest UserWe chose the Ocean Wing room type, and the room was very spacious. The bathtub had a great ambiance. The overall service at the hotel was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The environment inside was beautiful, with complete facilities and many activities, including sunset paddleboarding. Plus, it wasn't overly crowded, so you didn't get that 'people-packed' feeling. It's perfect for a relaxing holiday and very unwinding.

GGuest UserEverything was perfect. Every staff member at the resort was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even the maintenance workers I passed on the paths greeted me warmly. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was absolutely perfect – I couldn't find a single fault. The resort doesn't cut back on service or close facilities just because there are fewer guests, which is great. It was a perfect getaway, and I will definitely be returning.

TTravelwithBamThe staff friendliness is just amzing 10/10. Excellent Service. Our room had amazing view of the sea and opposite resort called Gayana. Dinner: Only Buffet option is available and its about RM167/person +taxes. The spread are fairly good and it is delicious. Though they do have 2 more different Restaurant in the island,Japanese and fine dining. Breakfast: Included in the room price. Menu changes daily. I have nothing to complaint about the room, for us its comfortable. All rooms have exactly the dane Designs the only difference is where it is located. You are paying for the view. Activities: For me I think 3 days 2 nights are perfect to spend your time here, swimming by the pool, kayaking, snorkling,Jungle trekking, visiting the private beach. 1 hour complimentary use of snorklinh masks. I like the public guests showers and towel provided.Very convinient. One thing that I would like to comment is the boat fees are relatively very expansive.15 mins speedboat per person one way cost about Rm80+taxes..Just return trip cost RM170++ per person. This is not even including island conservation fees and tourist fees. All this added fees makes the Hotel cost more expansive. Because a boat trip to nearby or same Island cost only Rm40. GAYANA ECO RESORT provided inclusive/complimentary return boat fees. I hope the Management can improve this because we as Guests are going to spend more money on F&B and at the Bar. Last but not least I would like to compliment the service and staffs in thsi Resort I think they did such an amazing job. Overalö the Resort is beautiful andclose to the nature.

GGuest UserThis village is all about beachfront holidays, and its pros and cons revolve around that. **Pros:** The private, secluded cabins offer unbeatable ocean views. You can lie on the terrace lounge chair at night, accompanied by the sound of waves and sea breeze, under a sky full of stars. During the day, various fish and birds keep you company. It's a diving resort, with both scuba diving and snorkeling available. I heard the diving is good, but I didn't try scuba. The snorkeling right off the beach near the village entrance wasn't great. So, we hired a private boat to go snorkeling elsewhere, which was excellent; we saw multiple sea turtles. **Cons:** What made it great also made it less so. The cabin is drafty on all four sides, and the air conditioning is really weak and blows directly onto the bed, almost making me sick. However, it was still better than opening the windows. The ocean waves in the morning were definitely louder than a bus downstairs. The most bizarre thing was that only the terrace had curtains; the rest of the cabin didn't. So, the morning sun shone directly onto the head of the bed, which I guess is due to its orientation. These are points where opinions might differ. Most frustratingly, aside from scuba diving and snorkeling, there are no other entertainment options in the village. Under the tropical sun, everyone just retreats to their rooms. Plus, scuba and snorkeling are handled at separate locations. I have to complain about the somewhat old facilities. You can see sea fish through the gaps in the wooden floorboards. The bathroom had various issues: the toilet needed two flushes (and I, being an engineer, still can't figure out why), the overhead shower only produced about a third of its normal water flow, with the rest squirting out horizontally onto the partition. Luckily, there was a handheld shower that worked for one day. The next evening, the handle broke off when I tried to turn it on, and water started gushing out. So, two security guards came, both claiming they were just security. The last time, around 11 PM, I was already in bed when three people arrived, again stating they'd fix it tomorrow. The next day, both showers were repaired... The food was... edible, I guess. In short, this village is a matter of personal taste.
