Don't get conned by this establishment! It looks nice from the outside but once you're in, the service is atrocious! There's great pretence in ”trying” to serve and assist/help in anything (from restaurant reservations to car park ticket validations) - it's all one big farce! The only commendable thing was the buffet breakfast - that's the only plus point.

Great location, can access most of the places in walking distance. Breakfast is served as semi buffet, however, I ordered my dish and wait for so long and they didnt serve it. A bit disappointed.

First room provided had a small window, that can onky be reached with a ladder. The claustrophobic feeling creeps in. Request a change of room, and was provided with one that is much better. Breakfast was OK, limited spread. No hot water in the morning as the overall heating system was down apparently. Checked out, and was given a free taxi voucher to go to our next destination. Good service saved the unfortunate circumstances. Kudos to the front office team thar managed this. Thank you.

Excellent room, excellent location and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff however, too often, go according to the 'book', and find it hard to think and improvise on the spot. It's as if they are under trained. When checking in there is no need to ask the guest to fill info on the iPad. You have this info, to stay in touch, already. Don't burden the weary traveler with trivial nonsense. If the sun shines, finally after weeks of grey and rain, and a guest sees the patio with tables in the sun, and this guest wants to have tea in the sun outside in the patio, this has to be a possibility. Don't say, well it's not the season so it's closed, it doesn't make sense, you're a top hotel, not the vander Valk. Improvise, think on your feet, explain that he is welcome to sit there and that his tea will be brought out, but it might take a few minutes longer. This way the guest feels listened to and that the moon is even possible. The kitchen is incredible, the food is wonderful. Last evening I had dinner at the Jansz., two ladies working, were very kind, helpful and attentive, they understood the delicate balance between asking how things are going and leaving the guest alone. I want them to know i appreciate them. Please extend my gratitude to them. Also the Asian looking lady who worked during breakfast this morning, was excellent. Please let her know as well. Finally, the staff at the entrance - getting cabs etc. - are great. Some of the male staff are too - in Dutch, popy yoopy. I am your guest and not your friend. That's all, and that's enough. Thank you for a great stay and I hope to come back again when I am back in the Netherlands. Kind regards, Diederik Lugt

The room was clean and comfortable and a good rate through Trip.com. The staff were polite and helpful. I stayed three nights and the room was not serviced during my stay. Someone did knock on my door around 5pm the day before I was leaving and asked if I needed the room to be cleaned. I declined as I had been out all day and needed to relax. Apart from the lack of housekeeping my stay was generally good.

Always a pleasure staying at Marriott here in Amsterdam. This is my 10th. Is it in half as many years and it still upholds to the ethos to today. Excellent hotel with large spacious and tidy rooms. The staff are great and always happy and smiling and eager to assist to make stay memorable. Highly recommended for families and kids and friends as well as business trips. A +++++++

Waldorf Amsterdam. The location has nothing to say, just by the Gentleman's Canal, an old European house.1.2-1.5 kilometers from several major museums, within 20 minutes walk (the three-story canal and each few steps have a cute bridge and a small house like chocolate on the shore make the journey shorter). First-class service, breakfast is very good, smoked salmon and ham are made by themselves, the taste is very good, but the room meal is difficult to say 😭; Room hygiene is also an absolute standard. The floor of the light white bathroom, bathtub, shower, countertop, and anywhere can not find a trace of uncleanness. The cleaning waiter is still so haunted (like the high-end hotels in Hong Kong and Tokyo); The bath is a full set of large bottles of Aesop, put it directly; basically, except for the expensive, there is nothing wrong with ~ I will consider living in Amsterdam next time.

I spent a long time choosing a hotel before coming to the Netherlands. Hotels in Amsterdam are really expensive! Much more expensive than other cities in Europe... In the end, I gritted my teeth and booked the InterContinental, and stayed for eight days. It's really good, very close to the subway station, and there is a big supermarket half a stop away for supplies. Trams to several important attractions also stop at the door. Be sure to book a canal view room, although it's a little more expensive, but the view outside the window is really great! The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and gave me a map. She carefully took the map and helped me explain the main attractions.

BBaronZAThe overall environment of the hotel is good. It is a 10-minute walk from the Van Gogh Museum. It is a 20-minute walk from the National Museum. The surrounding area is quiet, and there is a small town commercial street within a 7-8-minute walk. There are restaurants and supermarkets in the commercial street. The room size is OK, equipped with a capsule coffee machine and a kettle. The sound insulation is good, and you can hardly hear any outside noise. The bathroom facilities are good, and there is plenty of hot water, but unfortunately the water pressure is not enough. The hotel breakfast is worth mentioning. Although there is no chef to cook on the spot, the overall quality is good. The time period from 7:00 to 10:30 can meet the needs of most guests. Check-out is at 12:00 noon, but you can store your luggage. There is an outdoor seating area at the entrance of the hotel. This hotel is recommended.

GGuest UserI hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at your hotel, which we chose based on its high ratings and positive reviews. During our two-night stay with my family, we were shocked to experience a theft of our entire luggage from our BMW X7, parked right outside your hotel, on the night of April 17th to 18th. The security footage clearly shows multiple instances where the car alarm was triggered as thieves broke the windows and stole our valuables and suitcases. As residents of Belgium and professionals in architecture, we frequently visit Amsterdam for work. This is the first time we have encountered such a situation, and we were dismayed that throughout the night, neither hotel staff nor the police reached out to us to ensure the safety of your guests.  Had I known that such an incident could occur, I would have undoubtedly chosen another hotel. I feel compelled to share this experience through various review platforms to inform potential guests about the security issues at your establishment. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that steps will be taken to improve the safety and security for your guests in the future.

GGuest UserHotel location is very good, close to Central station Dam Square etc We go to the hotel since the last 15 years. Quality of services is good but not as high as it was in the past First rooms we got has a very bad smell we requested to change. No issue with the new room What we noted the last yeas is that some parts of the hotel and rooms need some refurbishments/renewal. To be considered as a 4 stars rather than 5 stars

劳麦当The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam's Dam Square, to Chinatown, just a 10-minute walk from the red light district. The hotel is opposite the Queen's department store, the most exclusive department store in Amsterdam with many designer shops, and the shopping street is the second road on the left side of the hotel. On the pedestrian street, about two or thirty minutes is the flower market. On the right side is the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. On the first floor is the famous watch shop. Walk to Haicheng Restaurant for five minutes. The hotel has only 16 rooms in a boutique hotel. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the airport. It can be reached by walk from Amsterdam Central Railway Station for about 15 minutes. It is recommended to take a taxi for large luggage, because the road along the road is uneven and difficult to tow. Between 20-30 euros, because you have to detour. The hotel ci is located on the third floor, the service is warm and thoughtful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, stylish and sophisticated, the smart panel control system is convenient to use, provide late bed service, welcome chocolate and use French Langfan toiletries in Amsterdam hotel Should be among the best. The hotel offers a restaurant on the third floor, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only products are available, and the price is not high. Because there are too many restaurants around the hotel, the competition is strong. The bar is also on the third floor, and the evening is fragrant. This hotel is worth checking in, but it needs to be booked 15 to 30 days in advance, otherwise the price will rise.

GGuest Userview of the hotel room is awesome, overlooking Amsterdam, we could even sun rising from the city centre on sunny days. Room is very spacious and comfortable. A bit off the core tourism attractions but the neighbourhood is beautiful. Just a bit surprised that the services was not so 5-star. No cutlery in the room, amenities are maintained at a minimum level, there’s even no complimentary water, they just say the Amsterdam tap water is good enough to drink. I booked it for my birthday trip, no one spotted this nor sent over a greeting, that’s rare for Japanese brand which is known for its attentiveness
