MM278445****Staying here for Ren Zhong Yan's concert was incredibly convenient! It's within walking distance, so no long waits for transportation back afterwards. The service was excellent too; knowing we were going to see the seagulls, they even gave us a 'seagull-watching gift bag' with bread and gloves. They also gave us fresh flowers upon check-in – a really pleasant experience. The hygiene was great, and they thoughtfully provided a range of daily necessities like facial towels and makeup remover. Highly recommend! The breakfast was good too.

XXiaobudianerererererThe environment is beautiful, and the decor is very upscale and tasteful. The room is large and clean, and the amenities are well-developed. There's a parking lot and four restaurants. We ate at the hotel twice, and the food was also good. The service was excellent and professional. It's connected to Spring City 66 (Hang Lung Plaza), so it's very convenient for shopping and dining. If I have the chance to come to Kunming again, I'll definitely stay here.

YYun12345The service was excellent; the butler contacted us a day in advance. The surroundings are beautiful, just a 15-minute drive from Haigang Dam, so you can enjoy walks along Dianchi Lake, feed the seagulls, and watch the sunrise and sunset every morning and evening. The hotel facilities are clean and hygienic, and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast was decent and looked abundant, but it lacked many local Yunnan specialties like Ersi, Erkuai, and Shuipaoli. Additionally, the hotel's design is grand and open, making the lobby quite cold in winter. Walking from Building 5, first floor, directly to the Black Pearl restaurant, it's clear the air conditioning struggles to cover the entire hotel. We often felt chilly, even needing extra layers when dining in the restaurant.

GGuest UserHello everyone. We stayed at this hotel at the end of November 2024. Initially, we booked the hotel for 5 days, then we extended, extended and in the end, we stayed there for 11 nights. The hotel is new, clean. The rooms have good quality robes, toiletries. We were quite satisfied with the breakfasts. We were pleased with the availability of freshly squeezed juices. The main staff does not speak English, but this is not a problem, since the on-line translator saves us, and the staff tries very hard to understand what you want from them. The only person who speaks excellent English was the manager Sam. A man passionate about his work. He told us a lot about the hotel and what is nearby. And there is a lot there: a park with playgrounds, a bungee jump, and a birdhouse with parrots. Sam showed us a place next to the hotel, which is a set for films. Boat station, where you can take a boat and take a walk on the lake and go straight to the hotel grounds. The hotel itself is in a great location, in a lowland, on the shore of the lake. If you plan a trip to Kunming, then it is far from the city. But we needed a quiet and beautiful place. And we got it. With the window open in the evenings and mornings you can hear the fish splashing in the lake and the ducks quacking. It was great to sleep, as the mattress and pillows are of excellent quality. We will definitely come back here and will recommend it to our friends.
P.S. Once again, we say a huge thank you to Sam, he not only told and showed us a lot about the hotel and the surrounding area, he also helped us solve some issues with our luggage at the airport. A wonderful, responsive person. The hotel management is very lucky to have such a person on their team.

GGuest UserThe front desk service was exceptional. Our room was spacious and bright. The front desk staff, especially the young lady, were incredibly friendly and thoughtful. They even gave us a complimentary room upgrade since we were traveling with a child. This will definitely be our top choice hotel for future trips to Kunming!

Breakfast provided were good with varieties of western and Chinese type.
Location was convenient to go to places of
interests.
Except the air fragrance used in the room were strong unfortunately causes allergy reactions to one of my daughter. We had to used a plastic bag to cover them up which helped to reduce her allergic reactions.
Overall, it is a nice and clean hotel with convenient locations to food and easy travel distances to travel around Kunming.

Plus, there are tons of great restaurants nearby. The 19th floor is a fantastic spot to check out; the breakfast spread is generous with lake views, and the afternoon tea is absolutely wonderful – sitting there amidst the beautiful scenery is incredibly relaxing. The smart rooms with automated lighting and curtains are very convenient, and the service is thoughtful, with complimentary flower cakes at check-in and a souvenir upon departure. However, rooms facing the street can be affected by noise from the intersection, and some room types could use improvement on cleanliness details. The accessibility ramp is short, steep, and lacks handrails, which isn't ideal for older guests. Overall, it offers good value for money and is perfect for tourists who enjoy exploring and dining out. If you're sensitive to noise, I recommend prioritizing a high-floor lake view room.

AAnonymous UserThe location is fantastic! It's right downstairs from Jinma Biji Archway, and not far from Nanping Pedestrian Street commercial area, Kunming Old Street, and Cuihu Lake.
It's near the city center, yet the value for money is incredibly high, which is rare to find. For whatever reason, hostels can always be a great option for those looking to stay for multiple days without breaking the bank.
This guesthouse is a long-established one, and after checking in, it certainly lived up to its reputation. Even after so many years in business, the facilities and environment are impeccable. The rooms have air conditioning, and the sink, toilet, and laundry room are outside the rooms, preventing any overcrowding. There's a bar outside the rooms with a lively atmosphere at night. Beyond the bar, there's also a balcony where it's quite pleasant to soak up some sun during the day.
The front desk staff were also very thoughtful. When they heard it was my first time staying in a hostel, they even gave me a pair of earplugs. Disposable towels, toothbrushes, and slippers were provided, and the first set was given for free. Later, when I needed another toothbrush, the front desk attendant, seeing I was staying for a whole week, also gave me a complimentary set. In short, they were always responsive to requests, but they went beyond just that – it was really great! 👍👍
The other guests in the room were also respectful and polite, which alleviated my initial concerns about staying in a hostel for the first time. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance and will recommend it to others!

Ttiandilixin2011Overall, the hotel was quite good. Perhaps the decor is a bit dated due to its age, making the room feel a little old. However, amenities like scissors in the room were convenient. They provided at least six bottles of water daily, which was more than enough. On the downside, there was no shelf for a phone in the bathroom, which was a minor inconvenience for those who use their phones while on the toilet. The toilet flush also seemed a bit weak; I'm not sure if it was just my room. Personally, I was a bit surprised that the buffet on the 49th floor didn't have fried noodles or fried rice, but otherwise, the buffet was decent, pretty standard. The view was excellent, as it's one of the tallest buildings in the area.
