GGuest UserThe hotel location is quite easy to find, and the public areas are well-designed. The room size is moderate, giving an overall spacious feel, and the bathtub is very large. The amenities are comprehensive, including makeup remover wipes and dental floss. The bathing area even has bath salts and face masks, which is a thoughtful touch. The service is excellent; when I urgently needed sanitary pads in the middle of the night, they quickly provided them. Afternoon tea can be delivered to the room, and the late-night snack is much better than what you'd find in many hotel executive lounges, haha.

The rooms easily meet five-star hotel standards, offering spacious interiors and comfortable bedding. What particularly stood out was the hotel's eco-conscious approach – amenities aren't replaced daily but are replenished upon request. This thoughtful detail not only reduces waste but also left a very positive impression.
**💖 The Most Heartwarming Service: Emily**
Before and during my stay, Emily provided exceptionally attentive care. From reminding me about Kunming's weather to asking if I needed amenity refills, every detail was meticulously considered. This feeling of being remembered and cared for added a personal warmth to the entire stay. My sincere thanks to Emily!
**🍽️ A Paradise for Food Lovers**
- **Room Service**: I tried a variety of dishes, and every single one was satisfying. The quality was consistently good, making late-night cravings easy to satisfy.
- **Yun Xiang Yunnan Cuisine Chinese Restaurant**: This deserves a special shout-out! I ordered takeout twice. The first time, I ordered Peking duck. Due to the requirement for it to be freshly roasted, carved, and eaten immediately, I opted for self-pickup after discussing it. It's no exaggeration to say this was the best Peking duck I’ve had in years – the skin was crispy, the fat fragrant but not greasy, and its excellence shone through even after being packed for takeout.
**📝 Summary**
Next time I visit Kunming, whether it's for this hotel or for that amazing Peking duck, I will undoubtedly choose the Grand Hyatt Kunming again. I highly recommend it to all friends planning a trip to Kunming!

MMarc1The hotel is beautifully located by a serene, quiet lake, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing stay. It is particularly popular among families with children, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The breakfast is fantastic, especially if you go early in the morning when the food is freshly prepared. However, later in the day, the selection may not be as fresh.
While the staff does not speak English, navigating your stay is still manageable with some basic Chinese and the help of Google Translate—just as it is in many parts of China.
I highly recommend booking a room with a spa on the balcony. These rooms are located on the second floor, offering greater privacy and more outdoor space. The spa feature itself can be a bit tricky to use—you need to ensure the water level is just right, as too much or too little will prevent it from working properly.
Overall, the hotel is very clean, and the staff is accommodating and responsive to any requests. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent amenities, this is a great choice.

AAutumnLeafI stayed at Cachet Boutique Hotel Kunming on 25–26 October and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located a little away from the main pedestrian street, but the area around it has plenty of lively bars and cafés that attract a younger crowd — great if you enjoy a vibrant atmosphere.
The hotel itself was clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed. I was really impressed by the stylish decor, quality amenities, and the spacious room layout. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a free room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Checking in/out was fast and hassle free.
As an additional benefit, the hotel is located 10 minutes from the train station.
Overall, it’s excellent value for money — I’d definitely recommend Cachet Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Kunming who’s looking for comfort, style, and a touch of local charm.

FFeiyingdetiankongThe hotel's location is great, just a few hundred meters from Wuyi Road Station Exit B. There are three hotels in one building, and the signage isn't very clear, with a small entrance. Check-in was quick. There are only two elevators. The room is spacious enough, and the bed is just right, not too soft or too hard. However, both pillows are quite firm! Despite being in a busy area, it's very quiet! Breakfast was just okay; when we went to eat around 9 AM, many items were already cold! It's very convenient for shopping and dining in the surrounding area.

GGuest UserThe InterContinental Kunming is located in the beautiful Dianchi scenic area, boasting stunning surroundings and first-class facilities. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful. We had the 218 RMB set menu at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, and it was incredibly varied and excellent value for money. All in all, the InterContinental will definitely be our top choice next time we visit Kunming!

JJinyu/The courtyard gets plenty of sun and has a lively atmosphere. There's a door on the third floor that leads to the rooftop platform of the building opposite, perfect for getting a full, all-around tan three shades darker. Definitely don't take kids up to the rooftop though! Occasionally, a few local residents gather in the courtyard to play ping-pong, which is quite fun to watch. The front desk staff, three young women and one young man, were all very helpful. The guy even helped me carry my luggage up to my room, which I really appreciated! In the evenings, there's an older gentleman at the front desk. Overall, it was a really great and comfortable stay. I didn't take many photos, so here's just a random one.

KKim_zhiyouThe WeChat customer service was very responsive. The room decorations for my birthday were lovely. Also, the manager at the 49th-floor restaurant, the young lady from Shenyang, was incredibly warm and provided excellent service; I had a cold, and she specially arranged for lemon water.
On the downside, the toilet in the bathroom wasn't smart. And sometimes, the staff outside the lobby wouldn't open the car door.

The common areas are great, including a bar, an area for reading, a terrace wirh a view. . Bed is comfortable. I like that the toilets are the sitting sort. Perhaps it might help to have more hairdryers OR more electrical outlets at the sink / mirror area. I had to wait more than ten minutes with my hair wet cos a guy was shavinh ever so meticulously (unplugged the hairdryer and there waS no othet outlet) & another girl was styling her hair with the other hairdryer.
Staff is well-trained and professional. Not always as cosy a feeling as in small home-run hostels but this is a bigger property. That said, they were still helpful , especially this young lady called Li3chan2 who gave info on dining options and really went the extra mile.

GGuest UserFollowing up on my previous review: I was so lucky to receive a postcard from the lovely lady at the front desk, which is perfect to give to a friend I met in Kunming. My simple greeting of 'I had a great stay, very happy, and wish you all a Happy New Year' really made me feel the warmth of the hostel. I loved the postcard they chose for me, and I'll definitely be back. I've already recommended it to other friends!
