Hotels in Qianmen (Front Gate) and Chongwenmen Commercial Area, Beijing

My family and I drove to Beijing, and the first hotel we stayed at wasn't great. So, the night before, we came to check out this hotel. The front desk staff were very diligent and showed us the room types. We were very satisfied and immediately booked two rooms, deciding to move in the next day. The next afternoon, we went to the front desk, originally thinking we might have to wait a bit to check in. However, a male staff member at the front desk was very flexible; he upgraded us to a better room, and we were able to move our luggage in immediately. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and they even gave our two kids souvenir fridge magnets, which they loved. Our whole group decided that whenever we come to Beijing in the future, we'll stay here. The rooms are much more spacious than other hotels, the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the vanity is large, which is very convenient for ladies to do their makeup. The hotel is located right on Qianmen Street, a quiet spot in a bustling area. The entrance is very clean and spacious. There's also a laundry room with a paid service (2 washes, 2 dries), which is very convenient for changing clothes.

Breakfast: I really liked the breakfast; everything was to my taste. Service: The service was excellent, very warm and welcoming. We received fruit upon check-in and a lovely gift upon check-out: two eye masks and a nut gift box, which was a very nice touch. Room: The room was decent, and the accompanying Pu'er tea was fantastic. We stayed on the second floor, but I'd love to try a first-floor courtyard room next time. Afternoon Tea: The bayberry and lychee drink was especially delicious, as was the plum tea. It was also a great spot for photos. Exploring the courtyard was a pleasant experience. Transportation: Qianmen Street and Dashilar are right nearby, offering plenty of convenient food options. The subway station is about a 10-minute walk, and getting around by bike is very easy.

This is one of the best-value hotels right in the center of Beijing. The Hotel is located in the city center, but in a surprisingly quiet neighborhood — perfect if you want convenience without the chaos. Very affordable prices. Spacious, clean, and well-maintained rooms. But the real highlight is the lobby… It feels more like a library café than a hotel. In the evening, you can sit there in total calm, read a book, work on your laptop, and enjoy delicious coffee… made and served by a robot. And yes — if you order delivery, another robot brings it straight to your room door. The area is also great — surrounded by restaurants, shops, and fruit markets, everything you need within walking distance. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, budget-friendly stay with a unique touch — this is a great find.

Welcome drinks: Coke and Sprite, you can help yourself from the fridge, awesome! Late-night comforting congee: Plain congee, corn congee, self-service. Self-service Vitamin Boost Station (11:00-18:00, grab from the lobby): Perfect for a light afternoon snack to tide you over. Facilities: Well-equipped, everything you need. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: Convenient location, with a subway station nearby.

I stumbled upon a hidden gem in Beijing's Second Ring Road – the Furun Jingrun Hotel. Nestled in an old city hutong, it offers a peaceful retreat despite being in a bustling area. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, and the overall environment is comfortable and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The front desk staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and chatty. They patiently explained nearby attractions and routes, and their attention to detail was exceptional. When my child got a blister on their foot, they even directed me to the nearest pharmacy and convenience store. After we checked out, they even called to ask if we had left any medication behind – I was truly touched! The location is fantastic for food and drinks, with authentic local snacks and homestyle restaurants right outside. You don't have to go far for any meal. The only minor drawback is that it's near a pedestrian street, so cars can't pull up directly to the hotel entrance. You need to walk about seven or eight minutes to catch a taxi or bus, but a short walk is perfectly acceptable. Overall, it offers great value for money. For anyone wanting to experience the old Beijing atmosphere in the Second Ring Road, I highly recommend this hotel. It's a state-owned hotel with a real heart!

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! Both the lobby and the outdoor courtyard are outstanding. It features a charming outdoor courtyard with a great atmosphere, complete with a brick wall perfect for photos that truly captures Beijing's character: a prominent 'Beijing' sign, traditional sand swallow kite decorations, and a fun 'Princess, get rich!' banner. It's a fantastic spot for pictures. The courtyard also has casual tables and chairs, perfect for resting after a long day of sightseeing. The greenery adds a touch of life, and there are photo opportunities everywhere. It's an ideal spot for anyone visiting Beijing and looking for great photo ops.

Modern and well-equipped with all the essentials. The main draw is its excellent location, and it offers much better value for money compared to other places in the area. For the same quality, this place is more affordable, and for the same price, the quality here is superior! 👍👍👍 Service: The owner is warm and hospitable, providing attentive and responsible service. They even helped us reheat our food and promptly informed us about room changes. They always greeted us when we left and returned, making us feel right at home. 🏠 They also gave us a souvenir Beijing magnet! ~~~

The hotel is right by the South Third Ring Road. The room was clean, and the mattress was comfortable. The two double beds were spacious enough for four girls, and there was also a desk and a small dining table. The front desk staff were wonderful, making us feel right at home! Plus, there's free parking. Just a small suggestion: it would be more practical if the toilet and shower had separate doors so they don't interfere with each other, and a mini-fridge would make it perfect!

When visiting Beijing, I specifically chose this Manxin Hotel, and its location is simply impeccable. It's a mere ten-minute walk to the East Gate of the Temple of Heaven and conveniently close to the subway, making it easy to reach the Forbidden City and Qianmen. The hotel boasts an elegant new Chinese style, with a lobby that incorporates traditional Beijing elements. The subtle fragrance upon entering is truly calming. The front desk service was attentive, and check-in was efficient, plus they provided a local travel guide. The guest rooms are clean and bright, with smart voice control throughout. The mattress is soft, and the sound insulation is excellent. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries are high-quality. Breakfast offers both Chinese and Western cuisine, along with authentic Beijing snacks like Zhajiangmian and Lvdagun. They also provide a self-service laundry room and robot room service, showing great attention to detail. It's a peaceful haven amidst the bustling city, making it the top choice for accommodation when visiting the Temple of Heaven. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Beijing.
