Hotels in Qianmen (Front Gate) and Chongwenmen Commercial Area, Beijing

An absolute 10/10 stay! We genuinely loved The Yard and would happily stay here again. The customer service was top-notch, every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. The hotel itself has so much character. The traditional exterior is absolutely gorgeous, especially when the red lanterns light up at night, while inside our room was surprisingly spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. We loved having a proper bathtub, the hot water worked perfectly throughout our stay, and housekeeping was excellent. Fresh towels, bottled water and other necessities were replenished daily, which we really appreciated. The location was another highlight! Step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by a lively street filled with shops and so much amazing street food, which we absolutely adored. Comfortable, welcoming, full of character and a wonderful base for exploring Beijing. Thank you to the lovely staff for making our stay so memorable!

The front desk lady and customer service staff were very helpful and friendly, and I promised to give a five-star review, but there are some areas where things could definitely be improved. First, the good points: 1. The location is excellent. The hotel is right on the main road, so taxis can drop you off directly at the entrance. Zhushikou subway station and Qianmen Street are just a three-minute walk away. 2. The bedding is very comfortable. I even asked the staff what brand of mattress it was (King Koil). 3. All the service staff are very enthusiastic. The ladies in the breakfast restaurant proactively ask how the food is and if you need housekeeping. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, which is great for guests on a tight schedule. Areas for improvement: 1. The breakfast selection isn't very rich. When choosing a hotel, I mainly look at room comfort and breakfast satisfaction. However, this hotel has very few Western breakfast options (no waffles, no pancakes I like, and limited cheese varieties). After staying for 5 consecutive days, by the third day, I felt like there was nothing left to eat. Also, the quality control isn't very stable (the boiled eggs on September 5th were cold; the corn quality was also mediocre). 2. The housekeeping for extended stays wasn't very thorough (on September 5th, I requested two shower caps but didn't receive them, and on September 6th, the granola bar wasn't replenished, and bath towels weren't provided).

We had a very pleasant stay at Campanile Beijing South Railway Station-Temple of Heaven. The hotel has a very convenient location: it is easy to reach Beijing South Railway Station and the Temple of Heaven area, making it a great choice for both sightseeing and onward travel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and cosy. The hotel was quiet, so we were able to rest well after busy days exploring Beijing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxing. We also appreciated the useful complimentary facilities. The hotel has a laundry room and a small gym, both available free of charge, which made our stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of fresh food and a convenient start to the day before heading out into the city. We would gladly stay here again and recommend this hotel to travellers looking for a clean, peaceful, well-located, and comfortable place to stay in Beijing.

This hotel left a fantastic impression on me. Its location is superb, just a one or two-minute walk from the Chongwenmen subway exit. There's a shopping mall right downstairs, making it convenient for shopping and dining. Attractions like the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing are only about a 20-minute walk away. The lobby has a very chic, Shanghai-style concept, and the night bar is perfect for socializing and relaxing. The breakfast offered a refined and extensive selection of both Chinese and Western dishes, and there's even a separate bakery. The guest rooms were impeccably clean, and the mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The latex pillows were the absolute best – I slept like a baby [smirk]. The staff were friendly and approachable, patiently answering all my questions about local attractions. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, with both Chinese and Western options, and the dining environment was well-organized. It's clear the hotel prioritizes guest experience; communication was smooth, and any minor issues were resolved immediately. The thoughtful and attentive service made me feel incredibly welcome. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Beijing. Highly recommended! 👍🏻

This is my second time in Beijing in over a year, and I chose Qiu Guo again. The staff are fantastic! The front desk is fantastic! Two young women helped me carry my luggage to my room in the pouring rain. There's a small courtyard by the entrance where you can park. The room is compact but has everything you need. Their toothbrushes are super soft and great to use. The hotel's location is perfect, making it convenient to get anywhere. They even gave me a departing souvenir, which was a nice touch for my trip.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The courtyard house is beautifully renovated and very modern internally. The breakfast is delicious and different varieties daily. I am impressed with the clean spacious room. The very helpful reception staff that is always smiling and ready to help. The sturdy umbrella provided when it's raining outside. The complementary photo sessions. The proximity to major attractions sites and walking distance to food and convenience store. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Beijing.

Good position. Lots of local shops and restaurants around. Fruits and vegetables shop very near, with fair prices, Even small shops for buying gifts in fair proces for china. Very safe even though it is in the pedestrian zone Staff very friendly. They updated our room into a bigger one with no additional costs. No fridge in the room Airconditioner. Bathroom utilities. Towels changed and cleaning done daily 10min near to Qianamen square and metro station. . The Window was facing to a coridor of the building,not outside, so tgere was low possibility to have fresh air inside. Wifi and internet signal was weak in our room Bejing Internațional Airport is nearer with public transportator than Dix Still I do recommand this hotel.

My stay at the newly opened Light Inn hotel exceeded my expectations! The hotel just opened, so all the facilities are brand new. The room was clean with no strange new-remodel smells, and the hygiene details were meticulously handled. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, so I slept very soundly at night. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and efficient with check-in and check-out. The lobby has a water station, and breakfast includes waffles – the amenities are very comprehensive. The location is convenient for getting around, and it offers great value for money, making it perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

The soundproofing was excellent. The breakfast selection was extensive, with freshly made beef noodle soup that had a rich broth. You could choose between sunny-side up or over-easy fried eggs, and there was also freshly ground coffee and freshly squeezed juices. The gym is open 24 hours, with new and clean equipment, and the pool water temperature was just right. They even provided towels and bottled water. The business center offered free use of printers and charging cables, which is incredibly convenient for business travelers. Whether you're traveling for business or a family vacation, this place will exceed your expectations. It offers excellent value for money, and I will definitely choose it again next time I visit this city! Highly recommend it to every traveler who values quality.

I chose this unique hotel for my trip to Beijing, and it was a real gem! My entire stay far exceeded expectations. The room's soft furnishings were particularly thoughtful – the floral summer quilt, sheer curtains, and ceramic pot with flowers exuded a gentle charm. The little bunny doll in the corner was a sweet touch, and my child absolutely loved it. The room came with a tea brewing set. After a day of exploring, returning to the room to brew a hot pot of tea and slowly savor it, letting go of the fatigue from rushing around the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, was incredibly relaxing. The common areas also displayed tea sets and tea ceremony items, adding to the rich Chinese aesthetic. The food was exquisite and refined, with beautiful presentation. The cold dishes were refreshing and palate-cleansing, and the fresh vegetables were clean and crisp. The flavors were light and just right, perfect for a traveler's appetite. The soundproofing in the guest rooms was excellent, making for a quiet and peaceful night's sleep. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, ensuring a truly restful sleep after a tiring day of travel. The location is very convenient for getting around, not far from major core attractions, making travel hassle-free.
