We loved our short stay. Location is perfect as only few minutes walk to cable car station to visit Tianmen mountains. Local bus to Avatar mountains departs near the hotel. Plenty local food around as well as McDonalds and Starbucks round the corner.
Room had nice bathtube inside the room which has nice views of surroding buildings. Will recommend staying in here 🙂

What impressed me most about this hotel was the laundry facilities and the rooftop terrace. Not only can you wash your clothes, but there's also an open-air balcony to dry them. If you come back late or if it rains, the staff even bring your clothes in and hang them indoors for you. This is incredibly helpful for families traveling with a lot of clothes to wash. I'd definitely stay here again next time!

We had an awesome stay at Yunmei Beiyuan. We booked the family room and my kids loved it. We also loved it as the room are very spacious and clean. We had a great experience with our stay, the staff are very nice and accommondating. There was a minor mishap with the laundry room where not all machines are working cause a little inconvience. But mishap happens, it's all about how the staff handles them. They staff will go out of their way and try to provide a resolution. Which is a thumbs up in my book. Thank you.

My stay here was fantastic. The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to the Tianmen Mountain cable car. It made getting an early start effortless; I could practically step out the door and hop on the cable car. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. I was also pleasantly surprised by a thoughtful welcome gift they prepared. The gift included hand warmers, which were an absolute lifesaver on Tianmen Mountain as it was incredibly cold up there. This small detail really stuck with me and showed how much thought the hotel puts into their guests' experience. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and if I ever come back to this area, I would definitely choose this hotel again.

The hotel's location is fantastic, directly across from the Tianmen Mountain cable car station. You can even see it from your room, and it's just a short walk across the road.
It's also very close to Hehua Airport, only a 15-minute drive away.
The hotel service is excellent. They called ahead to confirm our details, and knowing we were traveling with seniors and children and requested three adjacent rooms, they arranged for rooms that were perfectly next to each other.
The hotel's breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices spread across three different stations, and it was delicious.
There are many restaurants near the hotel, all around it, and they're all local specialty chain restaurants. I highly recommend Zhaizi Li Bo Bo Cai and Fuzhengyi Sanshangguo, especially the Zhaizi Li Bo Bo Cai right next door – every dish there was tasty.

The room was spotless, and the bath towels and robes were still sealed in their packaging. The bathroom faucet had excellent water pressure, and the water temperature was consistently stable. Even though there was construction nearby, once we closed the double-pane windows, our rest wasn't really affected. The free laundry room was a huge convenience; we could even have our washed clothes delivered to our room. The hotel staff were well-trained and always ready to help. The breakfast selection was also quite extensive. There were complimentary bottled water and benches near the elevators, which was a nice touch for a quick break. The hotel truly put a lot of thought into every detail, giving us a fantastic stay. Many thanks to every staff member at the hotel.

The location is excellent! There's a food street not far downstairs, and after dinner, you can take a stroll along the Li River to enjoy the scenery. The hotel is on the 18th floor of a building, so it's high up with great views, which I really loved. The guesthouse front desk also helped us book tickets for the Forest Park, arranged custom bus tickets, and even helped schedule our daily park entry times. It saved us a lot of hassle and effort!

This is a newly opened hotel, very clean and spacious, with a great location. It's close to the train and bus stations but still very quiet. The Tianmen Mountain cable car lower station is about a ten-minute walk away, making it super convenient for getting around. The hotel even gave us a free room upgrade to a mountain view room, where we could see Tianmen Mountain directly. It was so pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommend! 👍👍👍

YYundingdaojianghuThis was an absolutely fantastic stay I booked at a hotel near the central gate of Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area. I was extremely satisfied with everything. This review is for the two additional nights I stayed. My room wasn't changed, it was spacious, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard. The shower in the bathroom was excellent, fully smart tech! Dining at the restaurant was also very satisfying. The decor and facilities are superb, and the service was exceptional. The housekeeper even created a WeChat service group in advance, and I could book Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area tickets and cable car passes at a discounted price.
Even though the hotel is only about 1km from the central gate, the front desk proactively offered shuttle service. They even turned on the heating for us before we returned to our room (it was unseasonably cold with a sudden drop in temperature and rainy days recently) 👍.
Later, on the morning we were supposed to check out, the weather cleared up. Looking out from the hotel, the clouds and mist swirled around (pictures 1 and 3), like a fairyland. So, we decided to extend our stay for another night (we changed rooms). The hotel is over 800 meters above sea level, so I imagine it wouldn't be hot in the summer, and it should be quite cool in the mornings and evenings. This is my fourth time visiting Zhangjiajie, and my first time staying near the central gate – in fact, the central gate didn't even exist before! The central gate is the most convenient entrance/exit for exploring Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area, and many European and American independent travelers also stay in the central gate area 😊. This hotel is truly top-notch! 😍👍

SShengzhewuxinThis was my third trip to Zhangjiajie, and after visiting the bustling East and South gates before, I decided to enter through the West gate this time. This guesthouse is absolutely a hidden gem nestled within the mountains and rivers of Zhangjiajie, offering the most healing and immersive nature experience I've ever had.
The guesthouse is located inside the West Gate scenic area, right next to Xiangzi Stream. To check in, you first cross a covered bridge, with the clear, gentle sounds of the babbling stream all around – just listening to it is incredibly therapeutic. You could easily spend a long time just daydreaming on that bridge.
Surrounded by mountains and forests, the air is fresh and moist. There's no noisy crowd, just the chirping of birds and the accompanying stream, truly making you feel like you're living within the scenery.
It's very friendly for self-driving tourists. You can drive your car directly into the scenic area. Just contact the owner in advance, and they'll come out to greet you, guide you to parking, and even have charging piles available.
It's about a 500-meter walk to the Yangjiajie cable car, so getting up a bit early allows you to get ahead of the crowds. A quick start often leads to a quick journey overall, helping you avoid the throngs in the evening.
I absolutely must give a special shout-out to the landlady. She is incredibly warm and thoughtful. I learned through conversation that she used to be an executive at an international five-star hotel brand. Because of this, the guesthouse exudes professionalism and refinement, from its service to its amenities. The bedding (the same kind used in Grand Hyatt hotels), towels, and toiletries are all configured to five-star hotel standards, offering a soft and comfortable feel. The mattress, in particular, is perfectly balanced – not too soft, not too hard, with excellent support. Combined with the quiet surroundings and falling asleep to the sound of Xiangzi Stream, my sleep quality was superb, and all my travel fatigue was relieved in just one night.
The guesthouse is relatively new, so all the facilities are pristine and well-maintained, clean, tidy, and stylish. I highly recommend room 101, a stilt house (with a 270-degree mountain view). The view is absolutely stunning; opening the window reveals lush green mountains and a flowing stream, with distant mountains and nearby water all within sight, providing an unparalleled viewing experience.
Nearby, you can pick fresh wild vegetables and organic vegetables grown on-site. They are picked fresh from the fields, ensuring tender, pollution-free ingredients. The guesthouse also provides a kitchen for guests to use, so you can cook the wild vegetables and organic produce you've picked into homemade dishes, savoring the fresh and natural taste.
During leisure time, the owner also prepares high-quality mulberry tea and coffee beans. Sipping tea by a fireside in the courtyard, admiring the mountain views, and listening to the murmuring stream – these slow-paced moments are incredibly relaxing and comfortable. It's truly the life one dreams of. It's perfectly suited for an extended stay.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel blew it out of the water for us. They made our trip to Zhangjiajie a million times better than it would have been if we had stayed elsewhere. It all started 2 months before our stay. Our hotel butler reached out to me via WeChat and answered all the questions we had about everything. I told our butler that we would be arriving at 9pm and she arranged for a vehicle to pick us up from the airport. The cost was 100 yuan which is a bit steeper than a Didi but I felt it was well worth it since the drive is more than 30 minutes and we were able to guarantee that all our luggages would fit.
A week before our stay she reached out to us and asked if we needed to book tickets for tianmendong and for zhangjiajie forest. She booked both for us with the times we wanted and said we could pay her once we arrived. I double checked the prices and they were exactly the same as what we would have paid if we booked it ourselves. But with her help everything went very smoothly.
The day before we arrived, the driver called me and confirmed that he would pick us up from the airport. The second our flight arrived, he called and confirmed that he was waiting at the gate. Once we came out, he was standing there with a sign with my name on it. It was all very cute and he parked somewhere convenient for us to get picked up. The drive over was smooth and efficient. Our butler also confirmed that she saved us afternoon tea and would have congee ready for us as well. Service was already excelling beyond control at this point.
Once we arrived at the hotel, we checked in with her on the first floor and she gave us a quick rundown of the facilities and everything. When we arrived in our room, it was clean and the bed were nice and big. I also liked that they use Jo Loves for their toiletries. The afternoon tea and congee came up shortly after we walked in. Our room faced this courtyard that was beautiful. Felt like we were living in a fairytale. I liked that the blinds were automatic which was great. They also have a Xiao Du assistant that can help control blinds, temperature and the TV as well. Love the technology.
My only complaint about this hotel is that it gets a bit hot at night. You need to have the aircon on and the window open in order to be at a decent temperature.
Breakfast was another highlight. The chef who also takes away the dishes, is super friendly and so is the auntie who makes the noodles. He was so nice and even made tomato egg when we requested it. The bread etc. Wasn't that great BUT the Chinese dishes he made were all really good. Theres this pork rib dish he makes that is so good. For all 4 days that we stayed there, the food he made was different.
Another great function they have was the robot delivery service. Yes they delivery food but also they have a QR code with products that they have available for free. For example you could order a feet soaking tub (great for long days) and you could also order face washing clothes, one time use underwear, rain jackets. Basically anything you could think of, they probably have.
The afternoon tea and the congee is available everyday so keep that in mind for days you can't find any decent food outside.
We noticed that they had traditional clothing available and so I asked the butler about it. All you need to do is book a timeslot with them and they have a photographer come in and take photos of you. The photographer in the end ended up taking 120 photos of the 3 of us. She was so professional. She edits around 5 for you and the rest are just raw which is great.
Location wise, this hotel is perfect if you are visiting zhangjiajie forest. The south entrance is literally right there. Like 2 minute walk. It's literally right next to the south exit too. There's a KFC nearby which is great and also a Chagee. If you walk one street down there are tons of eateries.
Overall: this hotel was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

ВВиктория ;₽This was one of the most atmospheric places we stayed at during our trip to Zhangjiajie.
The hotel is located in a very scenic mountain area, away from the crowds, yet still conveniently close to Wulingyuan. Even the road there sets the mood, with beautiful green hills and rock formations all around.
The room is cozy with panoramic windows, and the view is simply incredible. Right from the room, you can see majestic mountains and cliffs. In foggy weather, everything looks especially magical - like being inside a traditional Chinese painting. It was such a pleasure to sit with a cup of tea and just enjoy the view.
The food definitely deserves a special mention - everything was fresh and very вкусно, with a good variety for breakfast and plenty of options to choose from. You can really tell the meals are prepared with care.
Another highlight is the animals: there are 6 cats and 3 dogs living on the property. They are very friendly and calm, adding a warm and homely touch to the stay.
The staff are very attentive and helpful, always doing their best to make the stay comfortable. Special thanks for helping us purchase tickets to the parks - it made everything much easier.
Overall, this is a perfect place for those who want to relax, enjoy nature, and spend time in a peaceful and beautiful environment. We would definitely love to come back!

🛏️ 1. Exactly as pictured & Great value for money
- The room is fantastic, very new, and spotlessly clean. I booked a room with a bathtub and got the 4th floor. It looked exactly like the photos. The price in late March was amazing—less than $30/night (getting a bathtub at this price is super worth it!). The furniture looks brand new.
- The bathroom is great, with clearly separated wet and dry zones. It has a smart toilet with a heated seat and auto-flush!
- Amenities are quite complete. However, the hotel provides disposable towels. If you have a larger build, they might not cover you completely (I'm petite, so it didn't bother me), but the material is highly absorbent.
- Good to know: the building has an elevator, but you do have to carry your luggage up a few steps to reach the entrance, so it's not 100% wheelchair accessible. But once inside, you can comfortably use the elevator without carrying your bags up to the higher floors.
📍 2. Quiet location but easy to get around
- The hotel is slightly tucked away from the busy, bright areas, making it very quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep.
- Getting to the park is super easy. You can catch a Didi to the East Gate, and it’s very cheap—only about $0.70 per ride.
- As for food, even though it's not right next to convenience stores or restaurants, you can easily order food delivery. If you want to eat out, you can take a Didi or walk to the restaurant area. It's not far, less than 1 kilometer away.
👩🏻💼 3. Friendly owner & Excellent service
- The owner manages the reception herself and is extremely hospitable. She gives great advice on exploring the park. Whether you plan a 1-day or 2-day itinerary, she can recommend the perfect walking route. I planned a 2-day trip, so she suggested entering via the East Gate on the first day and the South Gate on the second day.
- She is always in a good mood and genuinely seems to love her work. Her bright energy makes talking to her an absolute joy 🤣 I was so impressed!
- Her English is okay for basic communication, but for convenience and speed, we used WeChat. The translation feature made it smooth, and we understood each other perfectly.
🎟️ 4. Better ticket discounts through the hotel
- I highly recommend this! If you need tickets, let the hotel book them for you—the prices are actually better than booking through popular travel apps.
- Whether it's the national park ticket (she also helps book your entry time slot for every day you plan to visit—though if you want to change the time, you need to ask her to update it for you), Baofeng Lake, or the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, she can get them at a cheaper price.
- Another perk is the unpredictable weather in Zhangjiajie. Letting her book day-by-day or close to the date means you don't have to risk booking too far in advance. I changed my plan easily because of fog and rain, and it was completely stress-free.
🚑 5. A personal note of gratitude (why I'm writing this review so long)
Late at night on March 25th, I had a medical emergency. I reached out to the owner, and she was incredibly helpful. She actually left the hotel counter to take me to the hospital and helped sort everything out 😭🙏 (I truly apologize to the other guests staying that night!). I was so touched and grateful, and didn't know how else to repay her, so I wanted to write this review to pass on the good word.
Summary: This stay was super comfortable and truly heartwarming. Not only because of how much she helped me, but the rooms and facilities are genuinely excellent. If you're looking for a place to stay, please keep this hotel in mind! ❤️

GGuest UserI arrived to Wulingyuan quite late and the owner of the hotel, Susie, stayed up to help me check in. She and her husband were very hospitable and gave me tips on what to do as well as helped me plan an enjoyable walking route for one of the mornings, which was much more peaceful and serene than the typical spots. If you are visiting Zhiangjiajie, she can help you with booking your entry pass and reservations as well as give you tips on how to get between locations and what to do, so you don't necessarily need to pay extra for a tour.
Room and bed were large, bathroom was modern.

The scenery surrounding the property is absolutely breathtaking. It feels as though you’ve stepped back into ancient China, with magnificent views that create a serene and timeless atmosphere.
Our room was clean, cosy, and comfortably warm, making it especially enjoyable despite the cold weather outside.
The hotel also provides complimentary transport to the nearest town for dining, which is both thoughtful and convenient.

Once he knew that, he speeded up our check-in to have the essential tasks done. Right after that he helped me to set up my DiDi so I can have a drive to the Grand Canyon. I never had such a good service before. During the next days, we realize that he can also help us book attractions for a better price and without queuing at the ticket office. Thanks to him we visited Baofeng lake and Huanglong Cave on top of all the other activities we booked in advance. We are not just receiving a room in this hotel. We received much more. We were really grateful for your kindness.

The staff were more than just innkeepers – they were tour guides, restaurant experts, and thoughtful organizers. Ticket booking, rain gear on a wet day, water always available – I never had to worry about a thing. Like being taken care of by family.
They were also very accommodating with foreigners, spoke some English, and had a fantastic translation app for smooth communication. The most seamless, stress-free stay I’ve ever had.

EEduarda Carvalho[Parks info below] I'm glad that I checked out this hostel, good value for money. Room was nice and tidy, lots of electricity sources in bed and common area, curtains, hot shower. I shared the 6 beds dorm with just another girl, and you make your own bed. No toilet paper, no free water refill, no light in bed. It's worth the price. If you extend your stay directly in the hostel it's cheaper than the app.
The reception area is more cramped but you can socialize there. Most of the people are Chinese but I also met some foreigners. The guy in the reception speaks English and can give you information, in addition to that I recommend you to do your own research. There are two baby cats playing around, and an adult one.
You can get to the hostel from the west railway station by bus line 17 for 2 yuan - last bus at 8:40pm + 15 minutes walk. Location is close to the main avenue where there's a lot of restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store close to the corner with this same avenue. There are two night markets in the city, one on the avenue like 10 min distance walking to downtown direction, more local, and another one on the street in front of the tianmen mountain cable car, more touristy. The hostel is 15 minutes walking to the central bus station where you can get the bus to zhangjiajie park and 15-20 to the tianmen mountain cable car station.
[ATTRACTIONS] Zhangjiajie (avatar), tianmen (heaven's gate) and canyon (glass bridge) are 3 different parks in different locations.
The entrance to zhangjiajie gives you access for 4 days. I went the 4 days and enjoyed it very properly. If you're short on time, 2 days will do, but plan it wisely based on your priorities. Gates are 1 hour trip distance from the central bus station - 1h30 at weekends. Also, note that before entering the park with passport and face scan, you need to do an APPOINTMENT for that hour. You usually do it there at the gate, but for a saturday all appointments for that hour were sold out in advance and I had to wait for 45 minutes to go in. Recommended to check in advance especially on weekends.
There are 2 types of tickets you can get: including all cable cars and elevator for unlimited time for 450 yuan; or just the entrance (including only free shuttles) for 215 yuan - you still have the option of buying each transport at the park (75 yuan cablecar one-way, 65 elevator one-way). At first, I had understood that to see the avatar mountains, the ONLY way was through the elevator, so I bought the all-inclusive. Turns out you CAN go by free shuttle + hike + free shuttle if you start in the east gate. My favorite part was the huangshi village.
For tianmen, the entrance is 260 yuan. Choose the route in advance because some sell out fast. Gold advice: go at least one hour or more BEFORE the hour that you have the tickets for. The hour of your ticket just matters before the very last point before boarding the cable car. The line was MASSIVE and it took me 2h30 waiting on a Monday - ended up getting in 2 hours late than my ticket time and couldn't finish the whole loop: took only the red trail and went down to the heaven's gate.
About the Canyon, I can't say much because I decided to skip it and save the 210 yuan ticket - note that this price DOESN'T include the activities, you must pay separately. The package that includes almost* everything is 360 yuan.
Last but not least, if you go to the 72 Wonders, there's also an entrance of 88 yuan. You can go/come back with the bus 17 - same line that serves to the west railway station, last bus 8:40pm.
