DO NOT STAY HERE!
If you read the reviews you will see that many people complain about items being stolen from there bags. I have a strong suspicion this is the cleaners and instead of cleaning they are going through people’s bags. Upon check in we were warned by the receptionist not to leave any valuables in our room and to take them everywhere with us. Which is not what you want to hear at check in. Anyways luckily we listened to the receptionist as we had seen concerning reviews before staying here. Without surprise our bags had been gone through. Luckily nothing was stolen from us as we were smart enough to remove our valuables. However, still leaving an unsettling feeling knowing items were moved in our bags as they got searched, they even left the zipper in the incorrect position after as seen in the image.
Despite this issue there were also a lot of ants in our room and the room wasn’t properly cleaned any time the cleaners entered the room as there were stains left on the counters and floors and I expect the cleaners were too busy trying to steal stuff.
Despite these issues it is not the worst place and the location is good but I think if they just got new trustworthy cleaners then this place would be so much better.

This is a really good hotel for Laos standards. The service is decent, and the cleanliness is acceptable. Breakfast is just okay, but this is all in comparison to hotels back home. For Vang Vieng, it's definitely among the top three. Plus, it's right in the city center as soon as you step out.

I was first shown to the wrong room, and then had to remind them that I had booked the upgraded room. No issue though.
Great bathtub but the floor to ceiling wall looked out to a dry, littered riverbank .. and the opposite hotel, which people could look through. There were blinds to close though, so no issue.
Shower had about 20 cigarette butts in it.
Breakfast was limited. Coffee had no milk options.
Location was a bit of a trek from the middle of town, over 2 bridges on a bike. Nice quiet area though.

The hotel’s in a nice location on the banks of the river and staff are polite and attentive. The breakfast is good and there is a varied choice of foods available.
Because the room’s French doors to the terrace/ balcony and the wooden door (leading directly from the outside) are old and ill- fitting, we had an influx of mosquitoes in our room and I was bitten during the night. Staff sprayed the room while we’re were out, but this was only a short-term solution. We ended up placing damp towels on the floor both inside and outside of the doors in order to try to stop the pesky visitors. We sprayed the room a couple more times and the second night’s sleep was better than the first.

The location is convenient, and the receptionist was very helpful, assisting us with our luggage and promptly replacing our room when there was a problem. The reception also offers outdoor activity booking services, though the prices are a bit high and require payment in US dollars. The pool looked very nice, although we didn't swim. However, the bathroom was a bit old. The location is by the river, so you can see people kayaking.

This hotel is OK from the outside. Including the decoration in the corridor. But there are still a lot of problems living in, which makes people feel less comfortable. The voice outside the building is very loud and noisy; On the first floor, there will always be something falling on the floor from time to time. The noise is very loud. If you fall asleep, you will wake you up. The faucet is not easy to use, the button for the bath is a bit broken, and it is not very clean. The sheets are very old. The front desk can't understand English, can't understand Chinese, and can't communicate well. It is very troublesome to also settle in Lao currency. When I didn't check out, I was renovating outside and the sound of the electric drill was very noisy. I didn't fall asleep much all night.
Other air conditioners can also be used. Two bottles of mineral water are the least seen during the trip. There is a table coffee table on the balcony. From the front and back balcony, the scenery is quite good. The front desk attitude is not bad, help with luggage. In short, you can barely stay.

Amazing
GGuest UserThis hotel is too far from the night market, and the biggest draws of Vang Vieng are its outdoor activities and the lively night market atmosphere. All outdoor activity bookings and arrangements are near the night market, so I feel this hotel is more geared towards locals on vacation. Tuk-tuks were unwilling to go there, and the hotel's shuttle service cost an extra 300,000 KIP for two days of round-trip transfers. (Even the green buses from Vang Vieng train station and day tour pickups don't accept such long distances and will incur additional charges).
JJamorMixed feelings about this hotel. On the positive it's a new hotel, everything is quite clean, you have your own balcony and all that for a decent price. Location is good as it's a bit outside the noisy party area but not too far, so you're still kinda in the centre. But a few negative things to point out: you have two large glass window walls on the front and back, that's not everyone's taste. You also have a bathtub with large window and good view however the hotel is designed in a way that the neighbour can also look into your bathtub from their balcony from just 1 meter distance, awkward. Also the water is not properly hot, just 40 degrees maximum, so it's not possible to have a proper bath anyways. Toilet flush didn't work. The light switches are so strange because some work with a mechanic switch and some work with a sensor hat reacts to your movements, staff didn't tell me and I took a long time to figure out. Look, no one uses this and it's inconvenient for the guests, just use normal light switches and ideally label them. Then there is the breakfast, coffee machine was broken down and the food was mediocre at best. Staff was friendly and tried their best. Would I book again? Actually yea maybe, it has a certain value proposition but from the details you can see that a lot of potential has been missed by questionable design choices or lack of maintenance.
GGuest UserFeel like having fresh mango for breakfast? The fruit selection at the buffet is epic. They have fresh coffee and mango smoothies. The rooms are beautiful, amazing view, bottled water, toothbrushes, even face towels. Quiet air conditioning and there's a ceiling fan too. The beds are comfortable - we got a triple room with 3 single beds- and the power points are right next to the beds. Overall, our favourite hotel for the trip. Oh and the pool is great. We spent an afternoon drinking beer on the beach chairs and swimming.
*We got our own tuktuk back to the train station for 30k each instead of the 50k offered by the hotel.
Jjns02Great Value with Excellent Service & Prime Location
The room was clean and comfortable for the price—definitely not a luxury hotel, but the service felt luxurious! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the receptionist went above and beyond to help, even arranging a tuk-tuk for me to the railway station at checkout.
One of the best perks was the convenience—the hotel offers bike and scooter rentals, as well as a variety of day tours. Whether you're interested in paramotoring, hot air balloon rides, kayaking, hiking, or exploring caves and lagoons, they’ve got you covered. If you’d rather book elsewhere, the location is perfect, with plenty of tour operators right next door.
The area is packed with different restaurants, and my personal favorite, the night market, was just steps away. There are also several laundry services nearby, making longer stays hassle-free.
The only downside was noise—the walls and doors are a bit thin, so you might hear doors closing or noisy neighbors. My room was on the first floor (right side), so if you're a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a quieter spot away from high-traffic areas.
Overall, a fantastic stay for the price, with outstanding service and an unbeatable location!
ps. You can also enjoy a quick swim by the pool before going to your room!
NNontoMy friend and I recently enjoyed a stay at this hotel in Vang Vieng, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. The hotel offered a breathtaking view that set the perfect backdrop for our getaway. One morning, we were treated to the magical sight of hot air balloons drifting across the sky, adding an extra layer of wonder to our stay.
The location couldn’t have been better, providing easy access to local restaurants and cultural sights. The friendly and attentive staff ensured our comfort throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a mix of scenic beauty and warm hospitality, this hotel in Vang Vieng is an excellent choice.
AAlessioSRGEExcellent property for a stay in Vang Vieng, so good that many guests from other hotels come here just to take photos on the walkway with the postcard-perfect rice paddy backdrop. The staff are well-trained and very helpful, and they speak and understand English well. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a superior room. Breakfast was served on our room's veranda at the time and with the menu we had chosen the day before, offering a good selection of international breakfast options. The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle, making it very quiet at night. The superior room was very spacious and felt like an independent bungalow. It was very clean, with a large bathroom, and equipped with all the essentials for coffee, tea, and some excellent cookies. The price is a bit above average, but it's definitely worth the money. The restaurant is very good, though prices are slightly above the local average, and the food can be quite spicy.
DDianieThe room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful with excellent customer service. They even prepared Muslim-friendly breakfast for us — the chef kindly cooked porridge especially for us. We could easily book tours to Nam Xay Viewpoint and Blue Lagoon from the reception. The location is great too — near Elephant Crossing Hotel to watch the hot air balloons and close to Viengtara Vang Vieng Resort.
GGuest UserThis hotel is really good, with an excellent view. You can watch hot air balloons take off from here. It's also super convenient with the Vang Vieng night market just downstairs and great transportation links. It can get a bit noisy at night if your room faces the street, so you might want to opt for a room on the other side.
AAdalbertThe hotel is not quite new, that is obvious. The mirror on the room was missing, broken out by force.
There is no WiFi except in the reception area. The photo of the building shows balconies at all rooms on the photo side. But my room had none.
There was no daily room service.
For the rest it was okay. Well maintained, clean, quiet inside and mountain view from the windows. Small fridge, AC, full working bathroom. (Long waiting for warm water)
The breakfast buffet was great.
The swimming pool in front of the entrance was good. The seating area around poor. I really missed a bigger and nicer area, perhaps garden like around. Especially for I had no balcony.
I would go there again for sleeping and having breakfast. But for holidays I want to have a decent place outdoors as well.
GGemini112The bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and the room had a great view.
The included breakfast isn’t worth paying for and the wifi wasn’t reliable
