My stay at Pullman Shanghai Jing An was excellent, a definite five-star experience. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful, providing professional and prompt service. They were patient and attentive throughout, making me feel very comfortable. The room was spacious with great natural light and was impeccably clean. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a high-quality sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, stable hot water, and well-maintained facilities. The hotel's overall atmosphere was elegant and quiet, and its prime location made getting around very convenient. From the service to the hardware, everything was well-considered, offering great value for money. Highly recommend!
Arrived at noon and was told the room was still being cleaned, so I had to wait until after 2 PM, which I understood. When I went to get the room card at 2 PM, the young lady at the front desk fiddled with something and then handed my ID to the guy next to her. I was really confused. The guy stared at the computer for ages, then looked up and asked me, 'Which room?' I was speechless – I was there to pick up my room card, how would I know which room it was? He then told me they'd upgraded my room type, but it turned out to be a room with another door inside it. A woman checked in there. Don't you guys consider safety when assigning rooms? And you have the nerve to say you upgraded me??? Having a locked door in the room made me feel really uncomfortable, considering both safety and privacy.

Shanghai Hotel Stay Experience | Pullman Shanghai South
My child had a performance on the last day of the New Year in the ballroom at Pullman Shanghai South. Knowing traffic would be a nightmare that morning, we decided to check in a day early.
Upon arrival, the front desk already had our room ready. The service was excellent; they were incredibly accommodating, even providing earplugs when we asked.
We stayed on the 16th floor. The room was spacious and had a business-oriented feel. The bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and there was a bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak if you're not in a hurry.
Since we had a performance, we were granted a late check-out and free parking, which was a huge plus.
We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was a buffet and quite good.
Overall, it was a decent stay. The heating in the room was a bit too warm for winter, and I was told it's a central system for the entire building that can't be adjusted, which was a bit disappointing. Sleeping at night was fine though, not too hot and not too cold. The buffet breakfast selection was a bit limited. All in all, it was an okay experience, neither great nor terrible.
