Very small but well, ergonomically furnished and recently refurbished rooms with quality fixtures and all the basic necessities. Superb, central location with metro station short walk away, and everything else, including fine dining, vibrant nightlife, extensive shopping and plenty of coffee shops within walking distance too. Seamless check-in, attentive and helpful service. Everything one can get for a limited Shanghai hotel budget is there.

The room is very good, clean and very convenient The location is very advantageous and there are beautiful scenery along the way. There are must-try delicacies and delicious dim sum shops downstairs! It’s very close to the attractions from here! recommend! Will stay again next time!

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

I cannot begin to explain how incredible our stay was!!! We are two friends traveling to celebrate my birthday and the staff ember coincidentally had a delicious cake ready for us in the room. Not only this but upon finding out my friends and I’s birthdays are a week apart, she went and got it both gifts!!! Nina is the reason I will always come back to this hotel and recommend all my friends and family who visit Shanghai. The service of the staff was really amazing , great attention to details, big room and space in general. Shower had THE BEST water pressure 😍 the room was clean, well decorated and with great views. The warmth and kindness shown by Nina Tao alone made us melt inside. Didn’t know a stranger could be such a friend and be such a ray of sunshine go no reason but just to make us feel good! Nina Tao is incredible and this hotel is unforgettable. We WILL be back ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely a great choice of hotel in terms of locality. Smacked in the heart of Nanjing road eat and minutes walk from the bund and the you garden and other beautiful sight seeing places. The room a little small but comfortable enough. Only the air con was not cool enough. So it can get very hot in the night even outside temperature was 11-15 C. Left the windows open because it was so warm but still ventilation was poor. Although wifi was provided but the whole time I stayed there, the connection was really poor. So that’s not a good point too. Other than that, the staff was really attentive and good. They tried their very best to help. Breakfast was good. Choice was good and satisfying. Overall, I’ll still go back as it’s a good hotel. Satisfied for sure

Could see the hotel's basically remants of some classy types in the past (the building and bathroom etc.) but not sure re value for money/friendlieness, was given a room on the first floor (cathay gardens, or the low south building) with view completely blocked by walls. Staff in reception/cafeteria all very businesslike. To be fair it might have felt a harsh contrast coz visited after disneyland. Still, would try tower or other nearby hotels if visiting shanghai next time

My favourite hotel, with friendly staff like Vicky and Shirley. A short walk from my favourite bar, Funkadeli. Next door to the luxurious and beautiful IAPM, and only a 20 minute walk from my favourite Sunday brunch spot, The Bull & Claw. I highly recommend this hotel for couples and solo travellers. Nice comfortable bedrooms with great heating during winter. There is also a nice gym upstairs which I often use. Will definitely stay here again!

In general, staff don’t speak and read English, even basic words for hospitality industry. When I first showed my booking to receptionist to check in, she didn’t check at all and told me to ask customer service in Trip. I guess she didn’t understand the booking I had shown her. So highly recommend to show chinese version of your booking to smooth check-in process. Except language barrier, everything (facilities, staff attitute, cleaness,…) is almost perfect.

This Hotel is welcoming for all kind of guests. The staff is very friendly and does their best to be of support. English is challenging but getting better and better. I’m thankful for the great service. Location in French Concession will be a perfect starting point to discover the city.

The breakfast is delicious and tastes good. The restaurant wait staff provide excellent service.definitely have to come stay again
